It’s been a while since I’ve gotten really excited about a new makeup foundation. I love my current foundation but I came across a product that is just superb. I’m going to be a little blunt – I personally think that dressing up for holidays is a little lame. There are, however, 2 exceptions
1. Halloween (duhhh)
2. St. Patrick’s Day.

Really, why wouldn’t you go all out for St. Patrick’s Day? After all those morning Irish coffees, you’re not going to care what you look like. And after your 6th green beer, you’ll want your outfit to match your teeth, anyway.

Plus, unlike that slutty nurse costume from Halloween, you can totally re-wear your adorably bright St. Patty’s Day outfits all throughout spring and summer. That is assuming you opt for one of these gorgeous greens items and not something like this.

Whenever I see runway makeup, NARS is usually my favorite. I can never recreated their look perfectly and I’m pretty sure there are others who feel the same way. My prayers has finally been answered because NARS is launching Makeup How-To Tutorials, “Runway, Real Way, Nars Way” project, that will be released on Facebook and Youtube.

“Created backstage at the designers’ New York shows in February, the 40-second videos are intended to show consumers how to create wearable versions of each of the looks in three steps apiece. NARS makeup artists Jenny Smith, Uzo and Jane Richardson demonstrate the techniques on women from the NARS marketing department, using the brand’s products available in stores and online.”

It is such a great idea and I’m looking forward to recreating my favorite looks. Hopefully this project will extend to future shows and seasons.

Madonna just never stops working! According to WWD, Madonna has teamed up with Dolce & Gabbana for an Eyewear Collection called MDG. She’s also the new face of Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer and the upcoming Fall/Winter 2010 campaign.

She co-designed six pairs of sunglasses that features a MDG logo laser-etched on the arm with a large M standing out. Luxottica will produce and distribute the shades which will retail from $248 to $289. The Eyewear Collection will be carried at all Dolce & Gabbana stores worldwide, Sunglass Hut, and at selected sunglasses stores in May 2010.

“We’re so excited. This further strengthens our relationship with Madonna, and it was a very constructive experience for us,” mused Gabbana in an exclusive interview. “[Madonna] is very exacting and a professional who seeks perfection in everything she does, and this was no exception.”

I can’t wait to check out Madonna sunglasses! From the photos, they look great!

• Adding color can enhance the texture of your hair and appears fuller. When the hair is slightly damaged from dyeing, the cuticles become open and is filled in with color adding texture and body.
• Go curlier by braiding your hair in sections overnight. You’ll see wavy strands when you take it down the next morning.
• Don’t wash your hair everyday. If you wash your hair every other day, it will feel thicker because texture can come from your own natural oils.
• Blow dry hair upside down with heat aimed at the roots. Turn your head up again when styling.
• Adding highlights to the the hair is another alternative to adding volume.
• If you have long fine hair, try putting it in a ponytail every night. Then pull out the ponytail the next morning and voila..volume at the roots which last all day!

1. Too Face Girls Dig Pearls Lip Gloss in Mermaid($18)- A pearlescent lip gloss that achieves radiant shine from real crushed sea pearls. It comes in several gorgeous pink shades but Mermaid, a pinkish beige shade is my favorite. You can wear it alone or on top of your lipstick for added glossiness.

2. Bare Escentuals Buxom Lips in April ($18)- This gloss is loaded with antioxidants that keeps lips moisturized and hydrated. It also slightly plumps your lips up too for a more sexier pout. I fell in love with April, a shimmering icy pink shade at first glance.

3. Cover Girl Shine Blast in Ignite ($7.99)- I’m a big fan of Cover Girl’s newest glosses because I love the high-gloss finish.

4. Nars Easy Lover Lip Gloss ($24)- This gloss is my favorite product from NARS Spring Collection. It is so pretty and all I can say is Easy Lover is so easy to love.

Allow your hair to be more manageable, tangle-free, shinier, and healthier. Here are 7 homemade hair conditioner recipes for you to try:

Avocado & Egg

Ingredients: 1 Avocado & 2 Eggs

Turn avocado into a paste. Take 1 cup of the avoacado paste and put inside a bowl. Add the yolk of two eggs, beat mixture,  and apply on your hair. Leave on for 30 minutes, then wash out.

Tropical Conditioner

Ingredients: 1 Avocado & Coconut Milk

Peel and smash one avocado into a paste. Place into a bowl. Add coconut milk and mix together until smooth. Keep the texture as thick as shampoo. Comb thru hair and let it stay on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse out.

Egg Hair Conditioner

Ingredients: 1 tsp. Baby Oil, 1 Egg,  1 cup Water

Add 1 egg yolk into a bowl and beat it until frothy. Add 1 tsp of baby oil and beat mixture again. Add 1 cup of water and mix. Massage onto the scalp and leave on for a few minutes. Rinse out.

Jojoba Oil Hair Conditioner

Ingredients: 1 tsp. Jojoba Oil & 1 cup Beer

Add 1 tsp of Jojoba oil into a small bowl. Pour in one cup of warm beer and gently mix. Massage onto the scalp for a few minutes. Rinse out.

Sunflower Hair Conditioner

Ingredients: 1 cup Sunflower Oil, 1 cup Wheat Germ Oil, 1 tsp. Lemon Juice

Take 1 cup of sunflower oil and wheat germ oil and blend together. Heat it a little by placing it in the microwave for a few seconds. Apply onto hair for a few minutes then wash out with lukewarm water. Add 1 tsp of lemon juice to the lukewarm water during the final rinse.

Henna Conditioner (Dry Hair)

Ingredients: Henna, Olive Oil, and Milk

Take a good amount of henna and place in a bowl. Add 1 tbsp of olive oil and warm milk. Mix well. Apply onto the hair for 20 minutes. Wash out.

Henna Conditioner (Oily Hair)

Ingredients: Henna, Curd, Sugar, Water

Take a good amount of henna and place in a bowl. Add 2 tbsp of curd and a pinch of sugar. Add water for final mixing. Apply on the hair for 20 minutes. Wash out.

Deep Conditioner

Ingredients: 1 small jar of Mayonaise, 1/2 Avocado

Mix a small jar of real mayonaisse and 1/2 of a avocado into a bowl. Mixture should be a green color. Apply mixture onto the hair from root to tip and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse out.
