Last week I went to Yoga on Monday.  It was noticeably hard for me to get through and I was feeling really down that afternoon.  I lied down for a nap and woke feeling sick.  By Tuesday I was suffering from a full-blown stomach flu.  Wednesday morning I ended up in the hospital and received 2 IV's and some Zofran for the nausea.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Monday and Wednesday I went to the gym and hopped on the elliptical and did weights (biceps, triceps &amp;amp; shoulders)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Monday: Miles: 3.0  Calories: 310 Minutes: 40  + 10 minutes weights&lt;br /&gt;
Wednesday: Miles: 2.00  Calories: 208 Minutes: 30 + 15 minutes weights&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

Today, we went as a family to the local Health Run.  My 4 and 6 year old ran the quarter mile run.  My eldest daughter (14) went with them for "support". LOL &lt;br /&gt;

Next, my 6, 8, 11, 12 year old kiddos ran the one mile with daddy.  They had so much fun!  Pictures of my 6 year old are on the other camera so I'll add those later...&lt;br /&gt;

Finally, my 14 year old daughter, hubby and I ran the 5k. (I ran interval runs until the end.) The only problem was it wasn't a 5K.  They did not mark it and it was WAY longer than a 5K.  It was also very hilly, parts of it were on a trail and some on uneven ground along a busy road.  By the time we finished I could barely walk.  We estimated it was at least 4+ miles with huge hills.  I got to the truck feeling like I had rocks in my socks so I pulled off my shoes and socks.  No rocks, just blisters!  Ugh!  Now to ice up! So, here I go again, this time on doctor's orders to limit my carb intake and exercise more. This time around it is simply not a "diet" but more like a way of eating or a way of life. This will ensure it will be a long-term thing and not a quick fix. This will be a long journey, but a positive one.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is embarrassing but if I state everything publicly then maybe it will urge me to keep going in the right direction and be held accountable for my actions.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am currently 245 pounds at 5'4 -- The doctor tested my cholesterol and overall it was 210 and needs to be under 200 and my triglycerides are at 254 and need to be under 150. I have a lot of work to do, but I think I finally get it is more important to be healthy on the inside than look thin on the outside. I will work on my health and as a bonus weight will come off. My priority has shifted so I am excited to see some positive results. I go back to the doctor in 6 months to get checked again and I cannot wait to see my progress. This has been the best pregnancy for me- of all nine pregnancies. I read recently that women who run or do other forms of vigorous exercise have happier more content babies because they learn to self soothe in the womb.  It also helps prevent colic.   I have noticed that on the day's I exercise the baby is more playful afterward. :)&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
Today, my legs were recovering, but tomorrow I'm going back for more!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

I've had several challenges with getting back into the running scene again.  I have overcome them all, so I'll name them now:  moving across country with my hubby, 7 kids and 2 cats zapped my energy.  Second, getting used to a higher altitude.  Third, pregnancy- which isn't a trial for women who were runners before pregnancy. So, really the third isn't a challenge. :)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Anyway, I went on a two mile run with my family today. I felt so wonderful afterward!  Being 5 months pregnant I felt a little pressure on the bladder at first, but once I got going, the pressure went away.  &lt;br /&gt;

I slowed down a bit lately since hubby's been home helping me set up the house after the move.  Monday or Tuesday I went running.  Not too far since my pelvic bone was sore that day.  I still ran a mile and felt so good afterward. I've been slowly working back up to a longer workout. Tonight I went to the gym with my husband.  I got on the elliptical for 35 minutes before the cardio Salsa class tonight.  By the time class started I was more than warmed up.  There were many moves I was familiar with from Zumba, and several that took a little practice to get.  It was fun, but I think I'd rather take Zumba more.  We'll see how my schedule works out.&lt;br /&gt;

I went to a Cardio boxing on Friday.  That was a major workout!  It was a great way to let out aggression too.  What was more amazing to me was the calories burned!  650!  Wow! &lt;br /&gt;

All I can say today is ouch...my hiney!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The bikes are a little different from what I'm used to so it took a few minutes to feel comfortable.  I have had some excellent spin teachers and some mediocre teachers, but the teacher we had on Wednesday night was the worst.  We had a thick Hispanic accent, which in and of itself isn't so bad, but he also had a high pitched voice and I couldn't understand 90% of what he &lt;strike&gt;said&lt;/strike&gt; screamed except, "Up, go go go go!".  His music was pretty good and upbeat.  My husband seemed to like the Big Butts song we spun too. LOL  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This man was also highly overweight and stopped many times during class and shouted instructions to keep going.  If I can do the whole class pregnant, I would hope my teacher would.  It was interesting.&lt;br /&gt;

Even my teen is enjoying the articles in it.  Hubby's jealous because he wants a running magazine for men.  I also get Runner's World.  Is there one specifically for men?&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This morning Ben and I went to Yoga together.  It was his first time.  He liked it but he thinks of it only as stretching.  I think differently.  I was impressed with his flexibility.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Our teacher is quite pregnant, but can do yoga better than most of the class.   Afterward she gave me some tips and advice on what I should and should not do when doing yoga, especially now that I'm in the 2nd trimester.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
We are so going back.  We both agreed our backs felt much better with the stretching and the sense of well-being was amazing afterward.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

Well, I've been gone for over a month due to a long move across the country and horrible nausea from pregnancy.  In spite of that fact, I did manage to run twice in December totaling 2 miles.  All is not lost, though, I sure needed the extra energy I wasn't burning for that move.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I had intended on working out more once I got here, but the two runs I did do showed me my lungs weren't adjusted to the altitude yet.  Hubby goes back to work Monday and I can officially start my new routine in Colorado, which I will start with Spin class first thing in the morning.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I'm now four months pregnant, wow that went fast!  Today hubby and I went to the local gym to start spin class and after we got there and realized spin was full but there was another class, I went for it.  To start out this new year with a BANG, I did 20/20/20 which is 20 minutes of step aerobics, 20 minutes of kick boxing with weights, 20 minutes of weights, abs and stretching.  Wow.  That was "glut" kicking.  I'll be feeling it tomorrow for sure.  It felt so good to be working out again, though.  Yay!&lt;br /&gt;

We're moving in two weeks over 1800 miles and I had some terrible bouts of morning sickness which I'm over now.  In spite of all that going on, I did work out a little.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I ran 3.20 miles on Sat. November 21st and last week I was only able to work out once.  Poor me- I was so sick last week.  I went on Wednesday to the gym and did 4 miles on the bike and ran .50 miles on the dreadmill.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I received a blessing by my husband on Saturday and felt well enough to go to church and by this morning I felt 90% better!  I felt good enough to run 2 miles and do 20 push-ups and 20 minutes of abs.  I'm so thankful!  This week is going to be great!  Oh, I took three of my older kids running with me this morning.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

She checked my blood pressure- really good it was 107/60.  She asked me if I worked out after taking my blood pressure and I said yes.  She said my heart rate is awesome at 53~!  This is going to be the BEST pregnancy yet!  I've worked so hard to get healthy and will continue working out.  It lessens the nausea and makes me feel sooo energetic.  &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Tonight, I went to the gym with my husband.  Not much exciting happened there.  There was a gym-ful of half naked basketball players next door. Not that I was watching-gross- but they were loud.  &lt;br /&gt;

Oh, I take it take it back, we did have something happen.  We brought 6 of the 7 kids with us.  Half of them were in pajamas and all supposedly passed "dad's" inspection. I hopped on the arc trainer and noticed Athena (the autistic 6 year old) wearing her baby sisters sleeper!  It was stretched too tight, but she was happy as a clam in it.  No way- she had to go home and change. LOL&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Anyway, I had a great hour long cardio session followed by calisthenics (abs and push-ups).  I also ran a mile.  I took a two week running break due to nausea- but I'm back.  I don't like falling behind.  Here are Tuesday's stats:&lt;br /&gt;

Today and the rest of the week I will be making up for it.  There is nothing like the high you get from hard exercise and the energy lift afterward- man, I need that lately! LOL&lt;br /&gt;

I did Zumba last night followed by 20 minutes of abs with my husband as the trainer.  It helps having a husband who does PT often for his unit.  &lt;br /&gt;

The month of October was very busy for me with my husband coming home and my in-laws visiting, then my husband going on leave.&amp;nbsp; Even when I did go to the gym, I noticed I was dragging just a little bit.&amp;nbsp; This weekend we &lt;a href="http://www.homemaking-cottage-blog.com/2009/11/can-you-guess-our-joy.html"&gt;figured out why&lt;/a&gt;.  I'm so excited, especially because I am in good health.  Now my focus is to keep up what I'm doing while going through this new journey. :)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This month my goal is to work harder than I did last month! LOL!&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I started it out right by going to the gym this morning. I love working out, I wish I didn't put it off so much last month.&lt;br /&gt;

My wonderful in-laws are visiting with us this week.&amp;nbsp; We went to the gym on Monday for a short workout.&amp;nbsp; I did a mile on the elliptical with my MIL and then did legs and lower back for weights.&amp;nbsp; I'm still sore from that.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Then Tuesday we spent with our parents and I didn't stop for a workout.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
