At least I liked my colors and contrast better…
We were on a photo walk in (celebration? honor? time?) for Scott Kelby’s new book: Lightroom 2.0. I had already pre-ordered a copy when I found that photo-walk leader folks get a copy of their own… So I submitted my name to lead! Next time, I’ll submit someone elses because I found out after the fact that I wasn’t elligible for the fabulous (read: $5000) prize package. Oh well.
It was still fun, and in two hours, I got a dozen or so keepers, so you’ll be seein’ ‘em here over the next few posts.

I took it back in June when I went down to Carson City, NV with Heather. We had a good time, and took the family 4×4 up a long, winding access road to some wickedly strong radio towers. I think there might have been health concerns to stay there for long… We were playing a CD in the in-dash stereo, and when we got close enough to the tower, it was overtaken and went to radio! Ack!
Anyways, anyone know how to get in touch with the marketing group at JEEP? I have a feeling that they’d want this one.

Shortly after the last post, there was a “Juneau Appreciation Day” offered by the raptor center where you could ride the tram and check out the center at the top of Mt. Roberts for a much reduced price.
This bird had sustained a shot to the beak where the injury affected their eye… The white that [...]]]>Shortly after the last post, there was a “Juneau Appreciation Day” offered by the raptor center where you could ride the tram and check out the center at the top of Mt. Roberts for a much reduced price.
This bird had sustained a shot to the beak where the injury affected their eye… The white that you see is (from my recollection) a deadened eye. Because of this and a couple other injuries, this bird cannot be released back into the wild, so it spends some quality time helping to share the message of the Raptor Center to whoever will listen!

This was one of the live raptor releases of three bald eagles at the Brotherhood Bridge parking area. There was pretty good turnout for such an event and it was amazing to see these majestic creatures so close up.

This is from a soccer game between Juneau & Anchorage, I believe. If I remember correctly, “Service” is a high school in the A-Town area.
From my experience in playing and watching soccer, Service dominated the game with superb passing skills. Juneau seems to have a heart for superstar antics rather than playing as a team. From my experience in playing and watching soccer, Service dominated the game with superb passing skills. Juneau seems to have a heart for superstar antics rather than playing as a team. In black is Barbara, one of the superstars. She can move the ball and shoot better than nearly anyone out there, but I think Service won the game because of their ability to keep the ball moving between teammates effectively eliminating the possibility that a particular person be shut down.
That’s my take on it at least. I’m sure a more committed fan might comment otherwise… Besides, I only watched the one game.
