Whoa it's been awhile! Life has been crazy hectic the past couple of months, but I'm finally ready, and motivated, to get back to this blog space! I have a VERY good reason as to why it's been radio silence for a while and the reason is: I STARTED MY OWN BUSINESS!

After YEARS of wishing, hoping, dreaming, and so on, I finally put my money where my mouth is and officially opened my own studio space! What exactly is my business you may ask? Let me explain...

For ages, I've been collecting so many pieces of vintage clothing spanning the decades, sizes, styles, etc. My mission has been to save as many pieces as I can, but I didn't know why I felt so compelled to do so! I'm fortunate enough to know a lot of AMAZING women, in Fargo, who are talented & creative photographers who would always say they'd love to use my collection for shoots. That was my A HA moment! Thus I metaphorically gave birth to "Carmine & Hayworth: Vintage Fashion Rentals".

I rent out pieces for individual photoshoots, commercial shoots, events, and more!

What's with the name? "Carmine & Hayworth" combines things that I've always admired and I feel have shaped me throughout my life:

Carmine = my favorite shade of Red

Hayworth = my love of Rita Hayworth

This was a HUGE risk and frankly, frightening as HELL, but I knew I'd be more upset if I didn't try. The part that really made this realer was when I officially signed my shop lease! Words can't describe the sense of hope, fear, uncertainty, and excitement I felt. I've always had a HUGE problem putting myself out there, in a lot of aspects in my life, for fear of failure. I learned that when opening your own business you need to go balls to the wall and leave your fear at the door.

I always joke with people that, if given the time, I can talk for HOURS about something as simple as Steel Boning because I'm so passionate and fascinated by it 🤣

Whew! The past few weeks have incredibly challenging! I recently launched my own Vintage Clothing Rental business and I've hit the ground running. I've been amassing such a huge collection of vintage clothing over the years and I NEED to share it with others! It would be selfish and outright wrong to hide them away from the world forever.

This Green Sequined dress, below, has become a symbol of my business. Quirky, eye-catching, different,and unique. I started Carmine & Hayworth so I can create a visual discussion over fashion and it's history. Such beautiful pieces help to tell a story of who made it and also where it's going. Anyone who puts this dress on instantly feels the glitz and glamour! That's my goal is to be able to immerse others in that feeling, like I'm lucky enough to do daily 💗

When I was in high school, the path I originally had for myself was to become a fashion designer. Not because I wanted my name on a label, but rather I loved to make things and touch each fabric, button, rhinestone, etc. I let others opinions deter me from making that my career and I've regretted it ever since. I've used these pieces to regain my passion I had before I let others take the wheel. Below is a headpiece I made just for a project that I may or may not have. I just wanted to do it. It was inspired by a 1920's flapper headpiece that I knew I could never obtain for myself, so I decided to make one! It's crude, messy and imperfect, but I created what I had in my mind.

I love being able to show others what they can do and are capable of!

This 1960's Showgirl Headdress below has become the mascot for my business. It's fantasy, glitz, glamour and art all rolled into one! I love to collect and dress with INTENT! I have an idea in mind and everyday I execute what I want to portray when I walk out the door. These pieces have almost become my friends, in a way, since they've been able to remind me that I'm fortunate to do what I love and I'm able to share it with others now too.

To say I've been inspired lately would be a MASSIVE understatement! I have been SUPER lucky to be in contact with some amazing sellers who have given me the opportunity to buy their pieces. Collecting vintage clothing is almost like a drug! My heart almost beats out of my chest when I come across pieces that are truly one-of-a-kind. It may be an addiction, but it's one I really don't want to kick!

Below is a 1960's Gold/ Silver Burlesque set that I recently purchased. This was made in Englewood, CO and has been expertly taken care of! This came with the bra, belt, a headband, and two chokers. The sheer weight of this proves just how well-made this piece is.

Below is the QUINTESSENTIAL example of why I collect what I do! This 1950's Black Satin & Rhinestone gown is not only well made, but it came with some pretty cool provenance! When I purchased this I knew it would be coming with a picture of the original owner wearing it and that her name was Sandra Cordell. What I didn't know when I received it was that is was museum quality and even had a professional restoration warranty!

I did some digging on Sandra Cordell and I went days without being able to find out who she was! After TONS of googling, I found out that she was an under study for Carol Channing in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" on Broadway. She later entertained on cruise ships and "allegedly" was involved in some kind of sex scandal (I couldn't find out any info on that). Even though I wasn't able to find out a whole lot, it still gives me better insight on whose dress I own!

The ornateness of the rhinestone design, the rich, black satin, the red peekaboo satin on the train, and even the sheer black chiffon on the leg slit! I could go on! One slight alteration I'd like to do would be to replace the rhinestone straps (as seen in the original photo). There are little remnants where the once were and I'd love to bring those back!

I kid you not, I almost cried when I took it out of the box!

These pieces deserve so much love and respect and I'm proud to be able to get a chance to preserve them!

I've been working really hard to make sure I can get as many of my pieces up for local rent as possible! If you're in the Fargo-Moorhead or surrounding area, you're in for a treat!

This portfolio will not only be a way for prospective clients to view pieces, but a great way to view fashion history! Lately, I've REALLY need to draw inspiration where I can to help me refuel mentally. Starting your own business, like many can attest to, really drains you mentally especially when being creative is the sole force behind it.

There are so many things lately that have helped me get through the past few weeks of finalizing business plans, numbers, inventory, etc. and below are just some of them 😊

While at a local Antique Mall, I found these two books by Carter Brown and I noticed that the artwork on one of the books had pasties that matched a pair of my Purple, sequined 1960's pair.

I've always been a lover of vinyl growing up, but mainly odd and unique titles. I bought this "Sounds in Space" record for just $1 and it didn't disappoint! Classical music is played to the narration of space flights. Pretty rad, huh?

Lately I've really been paying more attention to the more simple joys of vintage collecting. I have really been gravitating towards the outlandish, gaudy and over-the-top pieces, but I realized that I really get more of a thrill through the littler or simpler pieces.

This handmade burlesque set from the 60's is one of those pieces that I often overlook while sorting through my collection, but it really tells a lot about the person who made it. I visualize the person through the garment. I especially love that it matches this saucy vintage postcard too 😍

One thing I love about living in Fargo is that the vintage shops we have are truly unique. We don't have too many here, but the ones I adore fit the owners to a "T". I recently went to Violet's Vintage in our downtown area and the Bed Jacket and Nightie/ Slip I found just ooze class and simplicity.

Antique Burlesque = Week Made

The latest addition to my ever-growing Burlesque Costume Collection is this antique set I found on Instagram. Just based on the beading and patina of the pieces, I believe this set to be from the 30's/ to 40's as an estimate. I absolutely ADORE the sequin & jeweled decorations with all of their intricacies. The piece needs a little love due to its age. Some of the sequins & beads are falling off and need to be replaced, but that just adds to the overall uniqueness and beauty of these pieces.

It never ceases to amaze me just how heavy these pieces are when I receive them! The sheer weight of these pieces alone are worth a thousand words!

Since my collection has been growing so fast, I have really needed to do an overhaul of how I store them since it's VITAL to have proper/ safe storage. Oddly enough I found some amazing sliding storage, canvas containers at Walmart that have a clear plastic cover to see the pieces. They super cheap, heavy duty and THEY HAVE WHEELS! I couldn't for the life of me find this product on Walmart.com to re-post, but I plan to do another post just about these storage containers because they are simply amazing!

I've really been motivated & inspired lately to advance my costume collection with the hopes of eventually branching out to Costume Rental. I have SO MANY ideas on what these costume can and should be used for and I'm crazy excited to hit the ground running with this!

Below is one of my newest buys and it's a STUNNING Turquoise / Teal Sequined and jeweled vintage gown 😍It needs a bit of TLC, but I find that it's a good way of personalizing a piece and making it your own. I would LOVE to see this used in a photo shoot & on-stage~

This antique burlesque set is one I'm over the moon, in love with! Anything beaded & jeweled has my attention INSTANTLY! I'm always amazing at the intricacy of the beaded fringe along with all of the sequin and jeweled accents.

These arm bands are a part of a 1960's burlesque set I purchased a few months back. I'm a HUGE fan of Lurex, beads and, obviously sequins, so this was a big plus to find when I received the set. Just putting the arm bands on alone make me feel like Wonder Woman 🙏 I would easily wear these when I go out and want to grab some extra attention 😉

This 1960's Ballgown/ Burlesque Costume is what actual dream are made of! When I received this, in the mail, my heart LITERALLY sprang out of my chest! The rhinestones, feathers, sequins, ALL of it! This isn't the best picture of me wearing it because my bust is a little too busty for the top of the dress, but I had to get it on my body somehow 😉

Just LOOK at this beauty in its entirety! Pictures could never fully capture how stunning AND heavy this piece is! My dream is to get it restored so that it can be used again for the stage! When I get my Brick & Mortar store up and running I hope to have these piece for Costume Study and possibly to rent for productions or events.

This really is such a prized piece for me. I truly believe in investing in fashion, especially when it's vintage. You will never see anything like it and that what I ADORE.

This 1960's Gold Lame Trench Coat is one of my favorite pieces that NEEDS some TLC. There are buttons missing and one epaulet needs to be sewn back on, but luckily that pretty much it. This makes me feel like a Mod Spy Agent 😎

Just Wear Your Damn Lingerie

I've had a lot of fun, lately, digging through my vintage lingerie collection and finding some pieces I forgot I even had! This 1950's Whirlpool Overwire bra has circle stitching that runs around the cups in such a simple & classic way.

I'm of that group where I feel like lingerie shouldn't just be something you wear underneath your clothes. I LOVE wearing CERTAIN pieces of lingerie as tops or under sheer blouses. In Middle School, I had this beautiful lacy, Teal bra that I loved so much I would wear it under one of my favorite White shirts. Let's just say the other students didn't appreciate my fashion as much as I did 😊

Now not all pieces are ones I'd wear out in the open, but there are so many that NEED to be appreciated in full view.

This early 1950's All-in-One Girdle is SO UNBELIEVABLY beautiful, but sadly I've got a little too much booty to fit it properly.. The darting is so STUNNING! If I fit this, I would wear it out with no problem!

I've had a lot of fun, lately, going through my closet & collections to find garments I've stashed away. I've been needing a HUGE inspiration fix in the past few weeks while I slowly gain my confidence to take my online business into the Brick & Mortar world. Every piece of vintage jewelry, clothing, knick-knacks, etc. I've bought gives me fuel to keep moving forward. I want others to feel inspired by what I'm lucky enough to own.

I'm scared to death and a lot of times feel the need to quit and stay working towards other peoples dreams. My need to share with others how amazing vintage can be keeps me going forward.

My ultimate goal is to create a place where people can come and gather inspiration. I would LOVE for the pieces I own to be used for other's creativity!

I'm scared to death. I've got a business meeting today. I'm trying to calm my nerves. Hopefully my next post will be filled with my new prospects & a better path towards my store dream 💗

It has been YEARS since I took anything off that even resembled a vacation. My idea of a vacation was driving to a city 45 minutes away from where I live to go antiquing. I love to work and it KILLS me to take time off, but the opportunity arose for me to work AND be on vacation at the same time.

I took a wee little part-time gig working at a food show in Deadwood, SD where I could get paid and also enjoy the city.

I've never been to Deadwood, but I've watched ALL the ghost shows that have "investigated" there, so naturally I was curious and excited. I work one full day the week I was there and then had at it with antiquing, sight-seeing and, of course, two ghost tours 💀

This post is mainly my way of organizing some of my photos from the trip since I'm HORRIBLE at vacation photos....

My heart has been skipping a beat since I purchased this piece yesterday. 💕

When I saw this come up for sale on Instagram I about fell of my chair. This AMAZING 1950's Burlesque/ Ballroom gown has it all!

Ostrich Feathers, jewels, sequins, chiffon, EVERYTHING!

Growing up I was always enthralled with ballroom dresses, especially the ones I would see on old episodes of "The Lawrence Welk Show". The swish & airiness of them gliding around on the floor mesmerized me! I would take my mom's long nightgowns and pretend I was swishing and swaying in them. This, by far, the epitome of my childhood dreams come true!

The sheer mesh between the breasts is so delicate, yet insanely sexy! The sequined detailing on the sleeves remind me of a Pink Princess Jasmine.

Just look at the hanging crystals! Obviously there's a little TLC to be done of some of the missing stones and the rust spots that have developed, but I'm so in love it's completely worth it!

I lightened the ends of my hair to a Copper Shade and I've been using this AMAZING Color Wash from KeraColor. It cleanses, conditions and add a little extra pigmented OOMPF to my color 😃Just leave in on for 3-5 minutes and rinse!

My home is where I've found my sanctuary lately. It's where I can attempt to relax and find inspiration. My home really doesn't have any rhyme or reason to it's decor. I've just collected many different things at many different times. I've had friends who've visited say when they come over, they feel like they're in a museum. One that feels homey and comfortable. Pretty much the best compliment a homeowner can get, in my opinion.

The record player console was passed down to me by my grandpa. He has such an amazing record collection spanning many genres. He kept this, among other things, in immaculate condition! He set the bar high for me...

Everyone has their something that lifts their spirits or inspires them. For me, the little details are what I try the most to focus on, especially when it comes to vintage fashion. Part of the reason why I collect vintage Burlesque Costumes or elaborate vintage gowns is because the attention to detail gives me the butterfly feeling in the pit of my stomach.

I feel like I fall in love all over again when I look at each piece and really delve into the construction.

Every little bead sewn into place was done for a reason and a specific look the maker wanted.

It's hard not to feel amazing in a set like this! The glitz, glamour, construction, all of it makes for such an experience to wear 💗

When I first came across this AMAZING 1960's Pink Silk beauty, I KNEW I had to have it! The rhinestones, the beading, the darting.... COME ON! I bought this is a lot of clothing and I had every intention of selling it, but alas I just couldn't let it go. I have my suspicions that this was used as some kind of stage gown due to the construction and similarities from other pieces I own, but I cannot be sure.

The fact that pieces like these are still around and not tattered remnants will always amaze me. The way I think about vintage clothing and all its imperfections, snags, stains and so on, I relate to the old Chinese Proverb where they would put a crack in a pot because the imperfect things in life are beautiful. The same can be said about vintage clothing or objects.

Each imperfection, mark or snag I feel like shows how much love and wear went into each piece.

Here we are yet again with the latest addition to my Burlesque Costume Collection 😊

I can't help myself.. I really can't.... I could but I don't want to...

Just LOOK at the detailing.... the faux Pearls, Silver sequins, Lurex, Sea Beads! I really believe that these are pieces of art especially because they're handmade!

You can really tell when something is extravagantly made when the sheer weight of it makes you go "Uffda!". I will never get over the pure beauty of these pieces because they really show you the personality of the artist wearing them. The 1960's really brought the "A" game when it came to burlesque attire.

The waterfalls of beading on the bra really get me going! I often wonder how many backbreaking hours it took to make this whole piece. The dedication & vision is truly amazing!

I normally don't make many fashion purchases from the 90's unless it's something that was straight out of a Delia's catalog, but this Bob Mackie "Wearable Art" Blazer was too good to pass up!

I'm a HUGE fan of silk blazers and even more so when in this STUNNING Orchid color.

Latest Burlesque Costume Addition....

Let me just preface this post by stating that I do NOT have a shopping problem.... I just have an insatiable love affair with vintage burlesque costumes. When I bought this 1960's As Is Burlesque Set I knew it was going to be beautiful, but I wasn't prepared for how IN LOVE I would fall with it! This set included a few matching feather boas, 6 hand/ ankle cuffs, a structured shoulder/ bra piece, beaded thong AND a matching choker.... I MEAN REALLY!? I wasn't expecting this to be a vintage piece either, just a handmade piece, maybe new, that was no longer needed.

What surprised me EVEN MORE is that is actually fit! I wore it over my Bettie Page Lingerie bustier to A.) Keep it somewhat PG and B.) because it was a perfect color match 😊

Once I get up the courage I'll model it without the bustier 😉

I also had to give a shout out to my absolute FAVORITE radio that I've acquired and that would be this 1970's pinup girl radio. I collect the nude, rubber, dashboard dolls and this was too good to pass up! Her nipples are the tuning knobs and there are even little lip prints above them as an added saucy touch 💃💃💖

I love it when you go to antique shops that are so embarrassed by nude things that they hide them in the corner, which makes them PERFECT for people like me who love to dig for vintage goodies 😁

And yes, she still works!

Lately, I've really been embracing my little sanctuary I call my closet. I'm trying to make it a place where I can go into and forget my worries & life for a bit. It's fun to go in and play dress up like I used to as a kid.

I love to put on my favorite vintage bustier and whip out my decadent Bettie Page Lingerie Baby Pink, Maribou Feather Robe. The way it feels against the body is too amazing for words 💟

I was CRAZY excited to find that I was able to combine my love of vintage lingerie with my newfound love of vintage Barbie clothes! Just looks at these little bras & slips! All are from the 1960's and more beautiful in person than pictures. They're so delicate & ethereal that I just want to frame them!

I usually don't gravitate towards pieces from the 1970's but when I saw that my favorite shop, Revolver, put this on the sales floor it really had me feeling all the feels. My non-vintage loving sister liked it so much too she asked me to snag it for her. The colors & sparkle are MORE vibrant in person and it's definitely an amazing statement top! Plus it's stretchy so..... it can hug the curves properly 😉

I had to try it on for myself before I sent it to her 😉

I recently just saw an article from "The Onion" floating around where the title insinuated that in 10 years vintage clothing will be obsolete and we will be left with "vintage" clothes that have all been mass produced. I know this was meant as satire, but it really is true. I find it hard to believe that in 20-30 years ANYONE would want to buy my mass produced blouse from Forever 21. That is to say if any of their piece will even last that long...

After glancing at that article, my collector's brain went into a panicked overdrive 😬

I don't know if this is true for all collector's, but I have this innate need to collect whatever I can so either A) No one else can get it or B) Buy it before it ceases to exist.

To be clear, they're ALWAYS piece I want!

Surprise, surprise I added another 1960's Burlesque Costume to my collection. Art, fashion, skill, all the things I see in this! I am IN AWE of the cascading silver beading that honestly looks like water!

This next piece surprised me because I lived through the 90's and I don't necessarily want to revisit that fashion quite yet, but when I saw this 1990's "Bob Mackie: Wearable Art" Blazer I about LOST IT! Just in the pictures alone you can tell how beautiful & well made this is! I can't believe how RICH the color is too! I will probably pee my pants when I receive this in the mail 😆

I've also been keeping quite busy with my new & ever-growing vintage Barbie collection. I found this 1960's Rich, Red Velvet Swing Coat with matching hat and clutch on Ebay and I'm MESMERIZED by the beautiful satin lining in the coat! One other wonderful touch is that the little hat is lined in matching Red Tulle.... I mean COME ON how amazing is that?

Below I just added some of my favorites in my vintage lingerie collection that I still swoon over. They are a mix of 1940's, 50's and 60's but all a beautiful shade of pink or peach.

The design, attention to detail, fabric.... all of it really reminds me of how good lingerie CAN be.

This past weekend was definitely one for the books. I was in desperate need for inspiration and and a pick me up. I first decided to go through my closet and pull some pieces I've neglected or had away in storage. This baby was one of them 💛

I bought this years ago as a pick me up when I was working my last year as manager of a boutique I had worked at since I graduated high school. I grew up in that store and leaving it was absolutely heart-breaking (it closed the year after). I saw this pop up on Etsy and I knew I needed it as a consolation for closing a pivotal chapter in my life.

Whenever I come across this 1960's, Mermaid Blue piece of splendor I get really amazing memories of sitting out of the sidewalk of this boutique, a bright, hot Summer day and wondering what was to come.... cheesy, I know.

The past couple of years I've gone back and forth with the idea of dedicating more of my time to vintage selling, collecting, etc. My own fear of failure has completely held me back, but I've started tiny baby steps towards making that a reality. As someone who paid their way through college working 2-3 jobs, money is 100% something I'm scared shitless about. If my business failed, I really would fall hard on my broke ass 😆

My boyfriend and I needed a quiet space to discuss options, so we went to a local coffee place that I just call "Red Raven". I would LIVE at this place when I was in high school & feeling angst-y. It used to be located in a dark, windowless basement with black walls, brooding teens and twenty-something.... it was fabulous. They eventually moved to an old firehouse where it's located now.

It was nice turning off my phone and really just sitting, observing and listening. Something I forget to do a lot lately.

We brainstormed, planned and vented about life, work and goals. It's hard in the city I live in to start a business because the vision I have, in my head, doesn't fit into the gentrified city that my home has turned into.

Below are a couple of murals done in the terrace area of this coffee shop that really gave me a jolt of inspiration.

This will be a very picture heavy post, but while my soul is wasting away at work, I thought I'd to another post about shit I'm loving at the moment.

I put this on right before I go to bed & it re-hydrates my skin while the scent of Lavender helps me sleep.

My big hair owes it all to Unite Hair's Liquid Volume Texture Spray. I few spritzes of this baby & my hair is bouffant for DAYS!

I'm absolutely OBSESSED with FriendPrices on Etsy & when I saw this print, I had to snag a Redhead and Blonde one for myself.

My newfound obsession with vintage Barbie clothes has now mixed with my addiction to lingerie. This 1960's set is what dreams are made of.... I may have also ordered a black version too...

I have to admit that I have a real buying problem on ebay... a problem that means I can outbid people at the last nano second to achieve this Barbie fashion glory.

THE LINING!!! I die every time I see the amazing construction on one of these!

If this fit me I would be keeping it. This has to be one of my favorite things in my Etsy Shop 💓

The last picture is more of a random sentiment. This fine gentleman below is Sam Weir from my FAVORITE show, Freaks and Geeks.

This is the EXACT face I make when some rich, white, asshole tells me, and I quote, "You should smile, life isn't that scary". You know what sir? What's scary will be your face after I throw my hot tea onto it.

It reminded me of a time when I was in my early twenties and I worked at a small boutique by myself. There was a younger couple looking around while this EXTREMELY disturbed guy came in and started to hit on me. When I told him to back off and get the hell out he told me he'd beat the shit out of me and throw me into the mirror that was right behind me. Luckily he left when I called the police, but the sad part is that I now have to hesitate to verbalize my anger when any guy does that.

The young couple was watching the whole thing unfold and kept distancing themselves from me and this guy. They never said a word or offered to help until he left and all they said was, "We wanted to step in, but it looked like you could handle it. We didn't want to get involved".

This story is NOT one of my favorite things, but this picture is my favorite because this is now how I physically have to show my anger. Plus Sam Weir is the shit.

Always Playing Dress Up

When I get a moment to play around & have some fun, I always love to put on this 1950's grand crown 😍

It's huge, ostentatious, and AMAZING! I found this at an antique mall and I really had to walk around to contemplate if I wanted to splurge. This is one of those pieces that I couldn't get off my mind, so I had to take the plunge and I don't regret it! The saying is really true, "Nothing haunts us like the vintage we didn't buy". AMEN!

There's no makers mark or number on this crown, but one thing I have found is that the base of the crown is original and the stars on top were added a little bit later. VERY curious...

This STUNNING 1960's Silk Embroidered coat below was such a cool find! The owner of one of my favorite vintage shops, Revolver, let me go through her back room and I saw this interesting peek of glimmering fabric in a storage container. This was that little peek 😉

She wrinkled, a bit discolored, but with some slight TLC this baby will be FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC!

Continuing on with my back room (vintage) escapades, I came across this brown faux fur beauty in the same storage container. I thought, "wow this would be an awesome spring jacket", but then I was told this was actually a lining for a London Fog Coat. The label is large & beautiful on the back collar area and the sleeves are so silky smooth. As a curvier gal, faux fur coats, vests, etc. aren't always the most flattering, but this piece is BEYOND words!

My goal for my time currently is go get back into reading a book or two a month. This is something that has been difficult for me since the past two years I've had three jobs at one time. Now I get to (attempt) to relax and Slutever is my way to do it!

I've show this 1950's Burlesque Belt before, but I'm still just as in love with it as ever. I'm amazing that the only flaws with it currently is that it just needs a bit of re-beading.

I finally got around to getting my 1962 Christian Dior dress on a mannequin, so I can display it properly. The outer lace isn't in the best condition and is extremely fragile, but the overall interior structure is just AMAZING! The detailing on the inside is just as beautiful as on the outside!

I'm always waiting for an opportunity to wear my Dahlia Bra from Dita Von Teese Lingerie and when I got this 1960's Silver Lame Trench Coat, I knew this is what I had to pair it with 😊

This bra is SO stunning, but it's not one I would wear casually out and about. For me, it itches just a bit, but I have crazy sensitive skin soooooo that's probably why 😳

Always Pay Attention to Detail

The thing I love most about vintage & antique fashion are the intricate details added to every piece. Whether handmade, designer, or store bought, each article of clothing/ accessories had their own uniqueness.

Take for example the inside of the 1962 dress by Christian Dior. The bodice, boning, lining, all of it is beautiful! The outer shell has beautiful lace detailing that's tattered & worn, but still holds its character thanks to AMAZING construction.

This was folded and placed neatly in the storage room of one of my favorite vintage shops, Revolver. I use this as a display piece and it still looks just as amazing.

The necklace below is one that I've never seen anything like it! It's a vintage (possibly 70's/80's) handmade Kuchi Tribal necklace that I found on Ebay. I am OBSESSED with the hearts beaded into the necklace and just the overall detail! It's put together with fishing line that needs a decent amount of repair, but the overall integrity of this is beyond words.
