#𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙥𝘼𝙨𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙃𝙖𝙩𝙚 I can’t believe I’m writing this in 2021. I’m apalled by the recent wave of senseless crimes and rhetoric provoked by disinformation, stoked by unfounded fears, enacted by those with little understanding and lesser humanity. A dear friend’s mother was recently harassed a few weeks ago; I was at a loss for words. Today the situation worsened ◆◆◆
I’ve spent years of my life in Asia and I’m proud to serve as a Fellow in hallowed institutions that work to strengthen these critical cultural ties such as The #USJapanCouncil as well as #TheUnitedStatesJapanLeadershipProgram and @AsiaSociety. During a time when a pandemic has pushed so many of us apart, understanding and togetherness is what we need ◆◆◆
