And away we go! “Capital Grounds” Back in January, on MLK Day, my friends Jasper, Quentin, and I, decided to tramps around Downtown Austin, visiting places that we, as Austinites, don’t normally visit. Downtown Austin isn’t as expansive or filled with tall skyscrapers like larger cities, such as Dallas, Houston, or NYC; it still maintains a nice mid-city/towny feeling, which is nice. Along our journey we decided to travel up Congress Ave. and played tourist at the State Capital. Austin, TX, for those who don’t know, is the capital of the State of Texas. It’s quite ironic that as the most liberal city in Texas we are home to one of the most conservative state governments in the country. But politics aside, our capital building is one of the most beautiful capital buildings and capital grounds in the country. P*rno Bingo said goodbye to its home of many years in the West Village at Pieces Bar and is not only moving up to Hell’s Kitchen to The Ritz but its moving to Thursday nights from 7:00-9:00pm. DJ Chauncey D recently joined the roster as music maestro for Will Clark’s P*rno Bingo. The long running weekly game show features a slew of guest stars and performers with every week benefitting a different LGBT related charity or non-profit organisation.
