Award winners will receive up to a $1,000 and 1 year membership to the House of Panama. Application and essay must be postmarked by June 25, 2018.

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that brings together community and supporters on social media. This year House of Panama is participating in Giving Tuesday on November 29.

Over these past 10 years, the House of Panama has worked tirelessly to bring the legacy of Panamanian culture to Balboa Park (the United States largest urban cultural park) by raising funds to build an International Cottage Museum. On Saturday, November 19, 2016, the House of Panama along with several other countries participated in the Groundbreaking Ceremony at Balboa Park. (Making way for 9 new cottages - San Diego Union Tribune article)

On #GivingTuesday, we have a unique opportunity not only to make history but also say you contributed. Today, we are asking you to make a donation of $10 to as much as $1,000 are appreciated. Donations can be made online using PayPal.

HPR International Christmas Festival 2016

Friends and families are invited to come together for festive fun, food and attractions throughout the park, including complimentary admission to Balboa Park museums from 5-9pm.

There will festive holiday lighting throughout the Park – from the Plaza de Panama canopy – to the Botanical Building – to the landmark Moreton Bay Fig Tree.

The HPR houses will be providing ethnic food and spirits, and entertainment from around the world will be presented on the stage.

Parking and Directions Map
Public parking is limited to the Zoo lot (free) and Village Place and Inspiration Point lots ($20 per vehicle) Free parking for persons with disabilities is available in the Federal and Space Theater lots. Free shuttle service is provided from PETCO Park ($5 per vehicle) and City College (free). Shuttles run on Friday from 3:00-midnight and on Saturday from 11:30AM-midnight. All shuttles pick up and drop off at 6th Avenue and Laurel Street

With the help of friends, family, members and corporate sponsors we have raised $126,000.00 for the construction of a House of Panama cottage. Thank you to everyone who has donated, you have helped us get closer to reaching our dream.

We are in the home stretch and construction is expected to start mid 2016 but we are $70,000.00 short of our goal.

To help us complete out goal we ask you today for a minimum donation of $50.00. If we are unable to raise the additional money we will lose our spot in Balboa Park. Our deadline to raise these funds is December 31, 2015.

Preliminary Information: The Miguel Bosé Amo Tour ticket giveaway ("Contest") will begin on November 2, 2015 at 8:00 AM PST and end on November 4, 2015 11:59 PM PST ("Contest Period"). Entry deadline for each question must be received by 12:59 PM PST that day, drawing to be held on November 5, 2015. All times in the Contest refer to Pacific Standard Time ("PST").

Prizes: Three (3) Prizes – Each winner will receive 2 tickets to the Miguel Bose concert on November 8, 2015 at Viejas Arena. No substitutions, cash equivalents or transfer of prizes is permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize of equal or greater value in the event any prize cannot be awarded as stated. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded.
Drawing: A random drawing will be held on November 5, 2015 from among all eligible entries. Odds of winning will depend on number of eligible entries received. The winner of the First Prize will not be eligible for other prizes.
To Claim Prize: All winners will be notified of the results by November 5, 2015. Tickets will be available for pickup at will call on the day of the concert, November 8, 2015.
