It was less than a year ago when I was so excited about celebrating the fact that the HowAudio.com videos on YouTube broke the 20,000 views mark. A few months later we passed the 50,000 mark. Then, yesterday, HowAudio.com passed 500,000 views on our YouTube Channel.

A huge thank you to all who have visited and recommended our channel to others. We are very grateful and excited for the future. Each milestone seems to come quicker and quicker. As such Im looking forward to the day, in the not to distant future, when I can say thank you for 1,000,000 views.

Torq with Xponent Tutorial :: Just Released

I was first introduced to M-Audio's Torq Xponent hardware/software DJ system about a year ago by musician Carmen Rizzo. My first impression was - WOW! Being a complete gear-head, loving every tool that helps musicians make better music, I know I wanted it. After watching the Torq with Xponent Tutorial with Steve Nalepa (HowAudio.com) I'm even more convinced that I MUST add this amazing intergrated hardware/software system to my arsenal.

You can use the Torq software without the Xponent, but why. The two work together like mac and cheese. And, if you use other software, such as Ableton LIVE or ProTools M-Powered, you can map the Xponent to control your favorite audio software. Just goes to show that even if you're not a DJ, you can use Torq Xponent in your production and performance workflow.

When I was beta testing HowAudio.com's new upcoming tutorial on M-Audios Torq with Xponent, I heard Steve Nalepa mention a very cool site for VSTs and other goodies. The site is Smartelectronix.com. Who are they? According to their site: Smartelectronix is a group of people who make music software. We are scattered all across the globe, but we are bound together by our shared interest in making music software that resists the current trends and norms in the music software world. We prefer to make more unusual, interesting, experimental stuff. We also share pretty high quality standards. And we like to make our software free or at least affordable. I just thought you should check it out, if you werent aware of it.
