How iMac Project

The How iMac Project is an endeavor to discover and share the amazing work of Apple users in artistry and business. While the project is based on the Apple brand and its technology, it is more about you (the user) and what you do with the technology that the How iMac Project seeks to explore. The best part of this project is that it is more of a collaboration across the internet with writers, musicians, filmmakers, bloggers, businesses and more because each collaborator submits their own video about what they do. After the video is submitted it is viewed and edited and returned to the collaborator with the understanding to share that video on his or her own personal website, blog, or video sharing sites. All the while, word is being spread about the collaborator’s work and this project simultaneously. So, how do you Mac?

Hi, you’re watching the first video profile of How iMac, where I share with you awesome things that people are doing with their Macs. I want to introduce you to a company that is completely Mac-powered. And on top that it’s also a company with a very rad team of young and ambitious guys that have been more than accommodating in submitting their video to share how they mac, and that company is Tatango.com. The company is lead by, 24-year-old entrepreneur, Derek Johnson or as he likes to refer to himself, The Derek Johnson–which I think is an awesome internet alias for anyone looking to push their own personal brand. Tatango started out as small-time text messaging service for his college fraternity brothers at the University of Houston that has since gone through a few facelifts as Derek’s vision for the service grew. In fact, at age 23, Derek dropped out of the Entrepreneurial program at U of H to focus purely on the growth and development of what we now know as Tantago.
