Having a true friend in your life can be a blessing. The relationship you have with this special friend allows you to share your hopes and fears with them. However, determining if someone is a true friend can be a difficult task. This is especially true if someone you once considered to be your best friend stabbed you in the back. This type of situation happens to people all the time. Therefore, it is important to know what characteristics to look for in a friend before declaring them a true friend

(1) Ask yourself do you feel this friend has betrayed other friends to you. For example, gossipping about them and passing on secrets their other friends have shared with them. If this is the case do not turn your relationship with this person to one of true friendship.

(2) Make a list of the times during your relationship with this friend when you needed help, and then note if he or she was there to help. Or did they just make verbal offers with no action.. A true friend will make good on their offers of help.

(3) Think about the times you have asked this friend about how a new hairstyle or how a new outfit looked on you during your relationship. Have they ever told you they felt it was not good on you in a gentle way. Having the ability to do this is a sign of a true friend.

(4) Watch how your friend reacts when you get achieve a goal. For example, buying a new car or receiving some kind of honor. Does this friend display happiness for you or did you sense the insidious signs of jealousy creeping into your friendship. If this is the case then do not consider this person to be a true friend

How To Make Air Freshener At Home

Walking into a bathroom where someone has just sprayed air freshener can be overpowering. It is often a sickly sweet oder that does not really cover up the smell.. The same concept applies to other home odors such as pet and cooking odors. Another problem is, it may be difficult for family members to agree which type of air fresheners they prefer in the home. They may also disagree about which fragrance of air freshener they prefer. It is possible to avoid these air freshener dilemma's however, by making your own environmentally friendly air freshener.

(1) Use an old clean spray bottle or go to Walmart or other department store and buy a new spray bottle. If you want to have the the homemade air freshener easily accessible in different rooms buy several spray bottles.

(2) Fill the Spray Bottle with white vinegar and write the words air freshener on it with a magic marker.

(3) Place the bottle of homemade air freshener in the -bathroom or kitchen and use when odors occur. The smell of the vinegar will quickly dissipate leaving the room odor free.

Tip
Use vinegar as an overnight air freshener. Place small open containers of vinegar in the room. Make sure to place them out of reach of children or pets as they will not enjoy the taste of vinegar.

How to Clean Cantaloupes To Avoid Listeria Infection

Cantaloupes are a source of concern  at the moment because of the ones on the market that are  contaminated with listeria. Do not purchase cantaloupes if you do not know who supplied them to the store.   Cantaloupes that were grown on the Jensen Farm are reported to be the source of the listeria outbreak. Even if you feel secure about the source of your Cantaloupe it is still wise to clean it correctly before it is consumed.

(1) Wash the cantaloupe. Do this under running wares using a produce brush. Do not use detergent or any of soap

(2) Place the Cantaloupe on a clean plate and dry it with a paper towel.

(3) Make sure the Cantaloupe id completely dry before you cut it. Use a clean knife to cut it.

(4) Remove move the seeds with a clean scoop or spoon. Then place the cut cantaloupe on to a clean plate and serve.
(5) Clean and sanitize the utensils and plates that were  used to prepare the Cantaloupe.

Warning
Cut Cantaloupe should not be out at room temperature  for more than two hours. Leftover Cantaloupe should be covered and refrigerated at  40 degrees F or below. Do not keep cut cantaloupe   in the refrigerator for more than four days.
