It mentions it is from the Latin word “communis” which means to share. Now that is very, very true. We should almost use that word instead because people seem to talk, and that’s it. ” I did this, I did that, I feel this way, You should do this, Can You do that, You did this to me, I want…” While it is important to speak up when something is bothering you, there is a right way to do it. And sharing information is the right way. Because when you share, you also are going to listen to the other person.

Communication takes at least two people. You both have to be listening, taking turns talking. And especially when you are married, you should be able to make sense of all the behavioral actions your spouse does to communicate as well. This means you are actively listening, which is great. When you both are doing this, you will find your disagreements will go much smoother, there will be less of them, and your marriage will be much happier. You will avoid many situations that comes from lack of communication in a marriage.

Take a good look at your marriage. What is good about it? Your sex life, kids, communication, respect, trust, loyalty are some examples. And look at your spouse, you must have married that person for a reason right? So remember what you love about them and sit in that feeling for a while. And when I say that, I really mean to feel that feeling. Let that reignite your passion and love for that person. While you can’t ignore all the faults in your spouse or marriage, you definitely cannot ignore the positive traits, and try not to take those things for granted.

The reason why I bring this up, is if you only focus on finding all of the negative things, such as the problems and never see the good things (which I assume you would if you were trying to save your marriage) you would eventually wind up only seeing negative things, and holding negative feelings in you. But by staying aware of the good aspects of your spouse and marriage, while searching the answer to your problems you will be more than good. All it takes is holding your goal, your vision and making every action you take, head towards that goal and vision. By doing that your are only bringing to yourself what you want, and need to save your marriage. It is a great exercise so make sure you give it a go. It helps mentally and will give you a good energy to be in. So read this a couple times, take it in, and give it a try.

Do you know what one of the biggest causes of failure in saving a marriage is? It is the same thing that causes failure in many areas also, especially business. Taking action. You will be amazed how many people will buy books, programs, go to counseling and never implement the strategies they learn, into their life. Not only have they just wasted their money, but also their marriage. Even if you are one of those people, I have some outstanding news for you, so listen closely.

You can change anytime that you want to. That is one of the gifts that we are given. We may not be able to change other people, nature etc. But we are in full control of ourselves. So make the change, start taking action. Go out and learn something either from counseling or one of the programs on this very site. Read a chapter, understand it, and implement it. I guarantee you that the change you will see in your marriage will happen. And when it starts to happen you will love YOURSELF for it.

Success in all aspects of our lives is heavily weighted on us taking action towards our goals, implementing newly found knowledge, and taking at the results we are getting with our actions. If your marriage is in trouble, there is a good chance something your doing isn’t working quite right. So stop and take a look at the results your actions are causing. And I am talking about you and only you right now. At this moment I don’t care what your spouse does wrong, and neither should you at this moment. The change starts with you. So look at the results find out what needs to be changed. And change your actions, if you are unsure of how to go about something, go and learn. There is tons of information out there for you. Once you have learned what you require and understand it, implement. And watch the results again. You will change yourself for the better, you will save your marriage. It all starts with you, and you can change it today if you so wanted. The choice is yours.

A lot of people wonder if there is only one true love out there, just waiting for them. Or is there more than one? Well I don’t know the answer to that, I am sorry to say. But this is what I do know. There will be tons of people that you could be with. But of course, you want the one you can’t live without. So what does this person look like? They will be everything of your dreams. However they will not be perfect, as no one is. But their imperfections will be things you can manage, and won’t turn you away, or make you become someone your not. As I quote:

And really, that is all it is. The love in my life, is someone I can’t imagine living without. Yes there are things that may frustrate me about her, as there will be things about me and she may not be keen on. But we love each other, and would do anything for each other. To us, there is no other way, or anyone else to be with.

So back the question of is there only one true love? You will not meet everyone in the world in a lifetime. So I believe, there will be tons of people that you can be with, but there will be only one true love for a lifetime. But it doesn’t mean, if something should happen, that you can’t love again.

Love is an incredible emotion that will bring people to do amazing, or crazy things. And if you love someone, you should want to do whatever it takes to make it work with that person. Again, just because you love someone, doesn’t mean you will have the perfect relationship, it all takes work. So do your part, and make it work with your love.

So your marriage is in trouble, you wish it could go back to the passionate, loving, beginning stage when there was nothing that could go wrong. Even though you can’t go directly back to that time, you can still get the passion back. It has happened time and time again. You just need a little guidance, and some determination.

To do that will take a few steps, and possibly some tears, but no more than what is already happening. You need to face your mistakes, and accept them. You will need to accept your spouses flaws. And when I mean flaws, I mean imperfections. Your spouse cheating on you every week isn’t a flaw, that is NOT allowed! From there each of you has to work on bettering yourself, don’t worry about changing your spouse, because you are not going to change anything about them. This now about you. And working on just YOU.  From there you are miles ahead in saving your marriage and having a new start. And of course getting that beautiful, hot, passion back into your marriage.

Of course this will take sometime, and isn’t always the easiest thing to accomplish, that is why there are tons of articles on this site for different situations, and for those who are really serious about saving their marriage, there are some ebooks, and marriage programs. So not only do you get a marriage help book, you get full access to an online program. This is far cheaper than marriage counseling, where you can easily spend over 100 dollars per hour! How crazy is that. And if you have ever done any research, you will know marriage counseling doesn’t have that high of a success rate. It is so critical to find a counselor that actually knows what they are talking about. So the quality, and price of a membership and/or book is a better deal than counseling. You can work at your own pace, and you have to do the work. You have all the information you need in front of you, but you still need to do the work to make it happen in your marriage. That might sound like a pain, but you learn so much better this way, it will “stick” more once you understand it. And the results will be incredible.

Some of the cons are for those of you that have no will power, or urge to save your marriage, these books probably will not work for you. As I said that you will have to take the information inside these marriage help books and implement them into your marriage, if you don’t it will not work very well. So if you have no urge to do so, this is not the best choice for you. A downfall for some, but for many doesn’t matter too much, is you will not get any face to face, one on one interaction with the marriage expert behind each book. You may get interaction through emails or something, but usually not in person.

If the alcohol becomes an addiction, that will be the first step of getting rid of alcohol, recognizing that it is an addiction. And when alcohol is truly an addiction, you usually can’t stop cold turkey because the body will go into withdrawal. The spouse that is drinking will need to see that the alcohol in your marriage is destroying it, and has to want to stop drinking. This can be done by showing them what is happening to themselves, the stress they are putting on yourself, and the other people around them. You can’t get mad at them, that will only make things worse, you have to do your best to remain calm.

The one suffering from alcoholism will have to figure out why they started drinking, there will always be a cause for the drinking and it needs to be put out into the open. This is so there is a new solution for that problem and they will not turn to drinking for that problem again. This will be a trying time for both of you, but it can be done, just work together, not against each other. And you both will come out victorious.

If you are thinking there maybe an addiction of some sort in your marriage, check your bank accounts. With so many things being done electronically you can see how much money they are withdrawing and perhaps where they are spending money. Addictions cost money so there will be something there 9 times out of 10. This may feel snoopy but if you are only checking for this reason, you are doing both you and your spouse a favour.
