Emerson Releases V-Belt iPhone App

Emerson Industrial Automation, a business of Emerson, has announced the release of the Browning V-Belt Efficiency Calculator iPhone Application. The application provides users with a mobile offering of Browning’s online V-Belt Efficiency Calculator, which allows users to calculate projected energy savings when upgrading from a wrapped V-Belt to a notched V-Belt. By entering key usage data points, including geographic location, motor horsepower, and days/hours per week, users have the ability to calculate energy savings onsite using the iPhone application. The application also has a payback calculation feature that lets users estimate the amount of their return on investment or days to payback. (more…)

Johnson Controls is offering a line of products and equipment on Autodesk Seek Web service. Visitors to the site can access Autodesk Revit building-information-modeling (BIM) files for: water-source heat pumps; Johnson Controls Series 5, 10, 20, 40, and 100 single packaged units; and York air-cooled chillers (YCAV, YCIV, and YLAA), variable-air-volume (VAV) boxes, and fan-coil units.
