IPL fucks the nation... [again]

As if, destroying cricket, cricketrs and busineses was not enough, IPL fucks the nation once again. Probably they are getting back at us for not cooperating with them in hosting IPL-II as we were too busy electing our new rulers etc. Perhaps its Lalit Modi's way of saying 'Fuck you India!'.

I don't see no reason for humiliating cricketers like they were during the IPL player auction. I mean Modi literally eats, shits and dies with the franchieses. Its hard to believe he didn't know that no one will buy Pakistani players. And its even harderd to believe that the IPL gang didn't know the political impact of such a fiasco. They are politicians running the show. Now IPL is sitting pretty and the country is fielding unnecessary sir-dard due to these assholes.

One could forget what they did had they been an innocous organization. But BCCI aka IPL are an evil organization whish is entent to kill all forms of circket just to facilitate IPL/T20 interest. They want to kill Test crickets because its too long and dosen't fetches much money. They field advertiser/sponsor backed players in the teams disregarding merit. They let advertisers/sponsors decided what kind of pitches to be made for matches. The situation is, if you offer enough moeny they will willingly drop Sachin or Dhoni from the team saying, blok's too old we need to think for the future etc. And they don't like paying taxes either. They ruthlessly kill competion (ICL and ICL players are pariah in the cricketing world).

Its time this non government, unofficial orgainzation is reined in and made accountable. And organization that spends less then 10% of its revenues on promotion of criecket is just like our hockey federation in disguise. They need to be reined it. Cricket is too important to be left to Lalit Modi and Gang. We love cricket and don't want it go down the drain.

The least we can do is to make them pay proper taxes and disclose their accounting. Amen.

Nobel Obama

Its a major surprise. Barak Obama, president of USA has been awarded Nobel peace prize 2009. I am not exactly sure if this is the right thing to do. I love him as much as any one else but... Nobel used to stand for demonstrated, verifiable actions. Well I see none.

They are saying its to encourage him to do what he is doing etc... what the...? Have you noticed any reduction of violence, murder, rape, injustice around your neighborhood, your city, state, your country, your continent or the world in general? I may be blind but I haven't. Some people say you will when he's done, I say should have given it to him when he is done. Why now? Why so early? He has achieved much but not as much. I am afraid, Nobel committee has brought a politicians election manifesto big time. Its a victory of Obama's election campaign manager!

God forbid, if there is another attack in the USA during Obama regime, will Obama act as G Bush or a Nobel "Peace" prize winner?

The argument that we want to support Obama in his activities doesn't cut too well with me. If you have to encourage some one to be good and do good then my prime candidate would be Osama Bin Lade. It is people like Osama and other such through out the world who need to be encouraged. I mean Obama is not a kid who needs to be given a candy bar for good behavior. The world has already suffered one bad case of appeasement, let us not set a bad precedent again.

Give Osama the dammn thing not Obama.

Rights or privileges?

As George Carlin once said, "we don't have rights, we have privileges'.

So I was reading this: http://www.anhadin.net/article89.html and realized that muslims face the harshest end of the stick which is being inflicted on all of us. None of us have rights anymore. We may delude ourselves that there is god, law, constitution etc. but non of it would protect us if we call Bombay, Mumbai. Or is it the other way round?

And the irony is, extreme ends of the society still manage to enjoy some rights due to insignificance or influence. Its the majority of us who are not part of some mob, religious righteousness mob, cultural mob, political mod, cast mob, etc mob, who are short charged and taken for a ride every day. We are loosing rights every day. Our right to speech is only till the point people don't notice us. Today if, some goonda party comes and beats me up for calling Bombay, Mumbai (or is it the other way round?), I have no where to go and no police or politician will protect me from the goonda's.

If a builder grabs my land, like in the film, Khosla ka Ghosla, we have no chance of getting it back. If I want to change my religion, I have no one to help me from the so called counsellors who will come to re-convert me. I can not call a city by which ever name I please, I can not hope to protect my loved ones when the other community decides to cleans the society. Justice, equality and liberty are at the mercy of the local goondas, police and politicians. This almost makes me embrace the UP culture, of "connection". Nothing moves without connections in Uttar Pradesh. It is so ingrained in the UP society that even to get your bi-cycle repaired one would as a friend if s/he know some one in the repair shop. How ever thats a pathetic way of living, it fosters corruption, division, bigotry and all such.

We have no rights, we never had and hopefully we never will.

The sooner we realize this the better. Amen.

Sex Decriminalized In India

So the other day when you enjoyed that most exceptional blowjob you committed a heinous crime under the Indian Penal Code (IPC). People caught taking or giving blowjobs, or any such jobs for that matter, were until recently, punishable up to life in prison! So all those frothing over the Delhi high courts judgment, de-criminalizing consensual gay sex, should stop whining and thank your stars. You've just been saved a big baggage of sins. By the way, this law was crafted by the same guy (Thomas Macaulay) who once said -

"A single shelf of a good European library is worth the whole native literature of India and Arabia. It is, I believe, no exaggeration to say, that all the historical information which has been collected from all the books written may be found in the most paltry abridgments used at preparatory schools in England."

And why are we so obsessed with the sex life of our nation? The ho-halla against the recent Delhi high court judgment, is such a waste of time. Its sad to see a nation plagued with poverty, hunger, inequality, corruption, illiteracy, bureaucracy, regionalism, jingoism, religion etc., obsessing over the sexual orientation of its citizens. Government should spend its energies on more urgent matters and not get caught up in such frivolous issues.

The argument against gay's is that they make sex in a way which is against the order of nature. Order of nature my foot. Who decides what is the order of nature? May be nature is fedup with us 6 billion plus parasites and gay/lesbian orientation is its way of contraception! Besides, every thing in this world happens on the whims and fancies of lord god the merciful. Perhaps this is what s/he wants. Who are we interfere?

5 to 10 percent of any population is said to be differently oriented, which means there are million of gays in our nation of 1 billion. By repressing such a wast number of people, I believe, we are acting against the order of nature. Good thing that the court began the long process of emancipation for such people. For ages gays/lesbians have been married off to unsuspecting spouses for the sake of honor etc... For ages, these people have been force to go underground and live a life of fear and disgrace and all that for no fault of theirs. They did not choose to be born that way! Imagine the amount of suffering we have already caused! Delhi court's judgment is the beginning of a long process of social redemption...

And yes, being gay is not just about sexual orientation. There is much more to a gay/lesbian person then their sexual orientation. They are just like us, good, bad, ugly, evil, human... We should be more open and understanding. After all we have a history of tolerance and accommodation etc...

And yes, the court has only de-criminalized gay-sex between consenting adults. This not the same as legalization. Legalization grants you rights and privileges, de-criminalization does not.

And yes, did you notice, only the religious and political scoundrels are going nuts over this whole issue...

And so, now that sex has been decriminalized lets work on decriminalizing religion and politics too...
