Colonial Williamsburg Foundation lends money to help repair Carter's Grove

The Virginia Gazette is reporting that Colonial Williamsburg Foundation has lended Carter's Grove LLC $175,000 to fund repairs and insurance on the 16th century mansion. The money was funded to the company through its bankruptcy attorney assigned as a federal trustee, the article said. According to a report filed by the Department of the Historic Resources filed in court in April, Carter's Grove to deteriorate to the point of being dangerous.
