This will mark HSB’s fourth Twin Falls Mini-Camp and second of the New Year, bringing kids of all ages and abilities face-to face with the pros. HSB’s Twin Falls Mini-Camp is a three hour intense player development workout designed to challenge, advance, and encourage a small group of aspiring student athletes both on and off the court. Individualized youth basketball training is heading to Nampa. The Idaho Athletic Club and HSB Academy, announced today that beginning February 16, 2012, kids of all ages will have the opportunity to train one-on-one with the pros. Led by former professional and collegiate standouts Carson Sofro (Ketchum, ID) and Michael Quinney (Oakland, CA), the Idaho Athletic Club becomes the groups third location in just three months. “We have had a lot of interest since the get go from parents and players in the Nampa area, so needless to say, we are very excited about this announcement,” shared Academy Director Carson Sofro. “It will be a great opportunity for the kids and for our Academy and we cannot wait to get started.

The Idaho Athletic Club in Nampa joins a growing list of facilities already hosting HSB Academy sessions statewide. Built upon the foundations that anything is possible through Hard Work, Sacrifice, and the Belief in one’s self, HSB Academy offers professional training with an affordable price tag, truly bringing kids of all ages face-to-face with the pros. HSBCAMPS Michael Quinney Brings Midnight Basketball To Boise Youths

It has been three months, and former professional and collegiate basketball standout Michael Quinney is already making waves in Idaho’s Treasure Valley. A decorated athlete at every level of play, Quinney has become an integral part of Idaho’s own HSBCAMPS, HSB Academy, and has now founded his own venture with Twilight Hoops. An adaptation of similar programs in Oakland, California, Quinney’s childhood home, Twilight Hoops will provide student athletes and young adults the opportunity to showcase their skills on the court late into the morning hours. A series of continuous five-on-five runs, Friday nights in Boise will never be the same.

“My colleagues and I found that there were many young players in Boise with nowhere to play,” shared Quinney. “After rousing some local support from various organizations including the Boise School District, as a group, we felt that something of this nature could really make an impact on these kids.” Twilight Hoops will become the second Boise venture Quinney has been a part of as he is also a founding member of HSB Academy, Idaho’s first year round youth basketball training Academy. In just over ninety days, Quinney an Idaho native Carson Sofro (HSBCAMPS Founder), have volunteered, trained, and impacted more than 300 young men and women throughout the southern part of the state. “It’s all about the kids and creating opportunities for them,” Quinney added. “My hope is that someday, we can offer Twilight Hoops throughout the entire Treasure Valley.”

HSB Academy Partners With Axiom Fitness For Second Boise Location

Ninety days, a handful of locations, and more than two hundred enrollments, have lead to the rise of Idaho’s first year round youth basketball training Academy. A spin off of HSBCAMPS, America’s fastest growing youth summer program, Academy leadership announced late last week that the group has partnered with Axiom Fitness of Meridian, expanding operations into Boise’s west side. “Like all of our programs, our focus has been educating, mentoring, and encouraging an up and coming generation of young student athletes both on and off the court,” shared Academy Director Carson Sofro. “We have and continue to develop well rounded athletes and more confident young men and women. We will use this partnership with Axiom to continue that tradition throughout the Treasure Valley.”

HSBCAMPS is back at it again. Three years, 2,500 athletes, and more than 40,000 miles later, and the country’s fastest growing youth basketball initiative has kicked off the New Year bigger and better than ever. New locations, reduced pricing, and a new philosophy precede what is sure to be the group’s biggest undertaking to date.

Following a record breaking summer season, company leaders announced big changes were forthcoming in 2012, as the group would part ways with Hot Shot Basketball, the name it’s carried for nearly three years, and begin a new chapter in their story. “When this program was founded back in 2008, I don’t think anyone including myself could have imagined or even fathomed the journey we were about to embark on,” shared HSBCAMPS Director Carson Sofro. “Although Hot Shot Basketball represented us and represented us well, it didn’t characterize the brand, the culture, and the message we were trying to deliver to kids all over the world. Tis the Holiday Season and we at HSB have much to be thankful for. As we close out this year and ramp up for the next, I cannot help but smile thinking of what an amazing journey 2011 has been. Our programs traveled more than 16,000 miles, reached more than 1,000 new athletes, and have connected us to thousands of new fans and followers around the world. HSB Academy, our newest venture is up and running, providing year round training for nearly 200 athletes in it’s first 60 days of existence, and with various additional projects in the works, 2012 is shaping up to be our most exciting undertaking yet. So from all of us at HSB, to the thousands of fans, followers, participants, and supporters, that have made all of this possible, may you have a wonderful Holiday and a very Happy New Year.
