I had an appointment at Shah Alam few days back and i thought this is a good opportunity to try out at those cafes nearby which is somewhere around Kota Kemuning. Because according to CafehopKL, there's a few cafe around Kota Kemuning. And i actually researched a day before on which cafe to go coz there were 3 cafes and in the end i chose Brew & Bread. Maybe another time for the other 2 cafes? Hehe.

So i went there around 2 something hoping to get some lunch and this is what i ordered.

Prawn Aglio Olio (forgive my thumb on the bottom left of the picture)

Iced Latte

The aglio olio was good and it's spicy enough. Me likey! The combination was good and the prawn is fresh. No complains on the aglio olio. But i think the portion is not filling enough and i guess there's a reason behind it. I'll share with you what's the reason behind it. As for drinks, i ordered the iced latte which also did not dissapoint but it was too icey. Maybe less ice will be better. Hehe, just my two cents.

Yogurt Cheese

I guess that's the reason why the spaghetti is not filling enough. Because they want you to try their desserts! Btw, i tried to tilt the photo but it somehow turned out that way. Hmm. Back to the cake, yea, i wasn't full enough so i went over to their dessert section and i saw this. It's actually cheesecake so nothing much to shout about. The food is ok, the ambience is good but what surprised me the most is their hospitality.

There was a girl sitting opposite studying for her exam i guess. Coz i saw there's a big stack of notes on the table. And halfway studying she got tired so she fell asleep. Nothing special about it coz well sometimes i did that too. Hehe. But one of the staff walked over to her table and asked her whether is she ok. I mean, this is something small. A small gesture but this shows how much they concern about each customer. At least that's what i thought. I know we might not like people disturbing us when we are resting but what if the girl passed out or something. At least the staff is caring enough to check on her, to make sure that she is fine. I think other than good food, good people/staff is important too. For that, i give them two thumbs up!

I've always wanted to try the cupcakes from Wondermilk until one fine day i was so depressed that i need cake to make me feel better. Yah, it just an excuse for me to eat cakes. Heh. I tried their red velvet cupcake and iced baby latte. Ok, it was really a baby size coz it was really small and the thing is i didn't stir my coffee that's why it got sweeter and sweeter towards the end of my drink.

It was quite nice but i think i prefer iced cold cakes than cupcakes. My definition for iced cold cakes are like those cakes that need to be kept in the fridge. Well, somehow i think it tastes better that way. ;)

Nyok Lan Kajang Satay

I was at Kajang today due to some work appointments. And i was thinking since i'm in Kajang, why not trying their local delicacies, the famous Kajang satay. To be honest, i don't really remember whether did i try i before but for sure i don't recall trying it in the past 10 years. I wasn't really sure whether which stall is the best and so i asked XBlog Malaysia (more about this later on) and apparently most of the search result suggested Nyok Lan Kajang Satay and it so happened that it's just walking distance from the place i was having appointment.

This is the place.

It's quite easy to find. If you are coming from Sg Long, just take the exit to Kajang and then just go straight until you see the police station which is on your left, turn left and this shop is just down the road.

It's my first time here, well, as far as i remembered. I wasn't really sure how to order so i just walked in like a lost child and ask around and the aunty asked me to read the menu board. So there's chicken, beef, mutton, duck and fish satay. Actually i wanted to ask whether do they have the duck satay because i told the aunty "5 sticks for each flavour" and apparently there wasn't any duck satay in my pack of satayssssss. I was curious but i did not ask in the end because the staffs there are so grumpy that i am afraid that if i ask more, they will give me a cold stare or worst still, give me a lecture. :P. It's my fault for not asking so i should not put the blame on others hahaha.

So in the end i bought 10 chicken satay, 5 beef satay, 5 mutton satay, 5 fish satay, 3 ketupats, 4 pieces of chicken wing, one cantonese yin yong and one hailam mee. Looks like a feast, doesnt it? Haha. It's for 4 person so don't judge. Lol.

Looks unassuming huh? Wait wait, this is just the beginning. Let me show you the rest.

Tadaaaaaa!

My comments: The cantonese yin yong and the hailam mee is just ok. There's stall selling same stuff but tastes much better. The chicken wing was ok too. Not too bad but there's one chicken wing stall somewhere near my house is better. The satay was just normal too. But wait, the best thing is yet to be presented, which is................

Yes! The sauce!!! Again, this looks normal to you right? Don't let that fool you. The sauce is not to be eaten alone. It has to go with this.

Again, this sambal alone doesn't taste right. You have to mix it with the peanut sauce. OWH MAI GAWD! THAT'S THE BOMB!!! IT TASTES SO GOOD AFTER YOU MIX THEM TOGETHER THAT I CAN ONLY EXPRESS ITS AWESOMENESS WITH CAPITAL LETTERS!

Seriously, the sauce is really the bomb. I don't know how to describe the taste but trust me it definitely tastes awesome. I was thinking whether can we buy their sauce only? Hehe. Will there be second visit for me? It depends how much am i craving for satay, no, i mean the sauce. X)

Hello again world! As you might (or might not) noticed that my blog layout has changed. Yes it looks much cleaner and simpler and all these couldn't be done without this great guy, Kent . Yes, he did all these to my blog! Thanks so much!!

Ok, now back to the blog. My last post was in October 2012. It's already August now, almost 60% of 2013 gone. So what happened throughout this period? Lots of things happened that even me myself can't believe how certain things turned out. Well, let's just summarize it.

January, started my new job on the second day of January 2013. Never thought that i would land myself this job. Nothing much to say about this job because there's a saying that goes like this "if you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all." Yeap, that pretty much sums up everything about the job.

February, got my car! Got it on the very first day of February. Why did i buy a car? Because of my current job. Yes, i bought a car because of my job. Whether is it a wise investment, well well, time will be the best judge i guess.

March, got myself into an accident. Fortunately it was a minor one where i was not injured at all but my poor little car was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. :( And it happened 2 days before my convocation. So my feelings was rather mixed. I don't know whether should i be happy or sad because it all happened within few days and i still have not adjusted myself yet. But undeniably the convo was the highlight of the month because my boyfriend came all the way back from Singapore to attend it! Thanks Ken Kent ;) :*

April, i guess getting back my car from the ICU considered as a good thing. Got my car back in April 6th. How come i remembered it so clearly? Because it was the first Saturday of the month. Haha.

May, my nanny's daughter got married. She is like my elder sister so i am really happy for her. It's like looking at my own sister getting married. I think i will only experience feelings like this for once only because i am the eldest in my family. So yea.. Oh wait, unless another friend of mine gets married, then i will feel the same way again. And coincidentally, both of them share the same name. Haha.

June, i would say June 2013 was the highlight of the year and also the highlight of my life. Because......I WENT TAIWAN!!!! It was my first time travelling that far with my boyfriend and his family and it was really a fun trip! Now that i know why people said that travelling opens up your eyes. It is very true. I experienced so many things there and all of them are so unforgettable. Typing this reminds me of my trip to Taiwan. I will definitely go back again. When? Hopefully within these few years. :)

July, the boyfriend came back for 2 weeks before he starts his job. And yes, i consider that as a memorable event too. Oh ya, one more memorable event that i missed it is his convocation. :( Yea, i know how bad it is. That leave an indelible mark, deep down in my heart. I know its pointless mentioning it now. What i can do now and in the future is to treat him the best i could. Sorry. :'(

August, went to Singapore for 4 days. To spend time with him. It was a very enjoyable trip. Nothing fancy. Just eat and walk around but the feeling was great. Hopefully another long holiday come really soon. *fingers crossed*

It is almost the end of August now. What will happen in September, October, November and December? I wouldn't know for now. But i definitely hope that it will be good. This year has been an eventful one thus far. Hopefully it will be the same for the rest of the year.

I am pretty sure Veet is a household name to all the girls out there. It's something that gives you smooth and hairless skin! Imagine this, you're on a date with a hot guy and you were trying to flirt with your legs so you tried to seduce him with your legs but damn! those hair on your legs! It's such a turn off aint it? Ok you have hairless legs, how bout your, erm, armpit? C'mon, we're all human after all. You want to look good in that sleeveless shirt dontcha? Here comes the saviour, Veet!!! :D Veet it off and bring out the confidence in you! Lol, sounds like a commercial. Anyway, though this is a bit cliche, but i do think girls feel more confident after waxing and everything. Not only it feels like you "unloaded" some stuff off you, you feel sexier too! And you would want to wear clothes that will boost your confidence! So start using Veet today girls! ;)

Anyway, i revamped one of my tops. I was kinda afraid when i was cutting it. I was afraid that i might tear it. But i think it turns out quite well. Hehe.

Nuffnang Comic Bloggers Gathering

So i saw there's this comic bloggers gathering that Nuffnang is organizing. Well if you ask me, i love to draw stuff. But bear this is mind, love to draw and having the talent to draw is 2 different thing. And this is what always happened when i was trying to draw something.

Emelia's Farewell @ Uncle Jang Korean Restaurant

This is actually my second visit to Uncle Jang. The first time was actually 2 weeks ago. The food is nice and affordable at the same time, compared to other Korean restaurants. Maybe because they only have a few choices of food available? They are actually famous for Dak Galbi. Dak Galbi is a very popular Korean dish where you stir fry marinated chicken with rice cakes, cabbage, potato, onions and chilli paste. They have spicy and non spicy option. The last time we went, there was 5 of us and we ordered 3 portions. 2 portion non spicy and 1 portion spicy and the level of spicyness is just nice, which is acceptable for me. Note: i love spicy stuff so that level of spicyness is quite low for me. And if you really cannot take it, they have this icy cold soup where you can sort of cure the spicyness but it tastes a bit weird and funny to me. I didnt drink that soup and still manage to withstand the spicyness! :D Their portion is quite big so unless you are super hungry that you can eat a horse, otherwise just stick to 2-portion-3-person rule. Here's how you should order.

Oh ya, another thing that you must order is the ramen add on with cheese. It's the must eat food!! Omg typing this makes me hungry. T_T. Price is quite reasonable though. The last time we went, the bill was RM92 for 5 person. It's quite reasonable for Korean food. Anyway, here's the bunch of people who went yesterday.

Express Gathering

I always thought the last time i updated my blog was like 2 weeks ago and when i realized it, it's already a month! :O yes! a month! Dang!

Anyway, had an express gathering 2 days back. It was an express one for me coz i need to go back to office after that. So i stayed for around 1 hour and then went back after that. Another reason why it was an express on is because there wasn't many people attended. Well, not to say it's a good thing that they didnt come but it's good in a way that the session was a lil more personal as you get to know each other even better. Not to say we dont know each other before this. Just that we didnt meet for a long time, there's definitely a lot of things to catch up. So yea, it was a good one. At least i get to know Wanyi more. :P.

That was my first time trying Carls Jr after for dont know how many zillion years. And i think it's more worth it compared to McD. It's more expensive compared to McD but for that amount of money and the size of the food, it's more worth it. Trust me. I ordered Super star with cheese. It's quite filling. If you're a small eater then maybe you can share it with another friend.

As we grew older, we get busier with our work, life and other stuff. It's good to have gathering like this once in a while. Maybe not all can make it but it's good if at least 2 or 3 can make it. Because we're no longer in our high school days where we all have the same schedule. That's why i think it's impossible for us to have the same free time/ free slot. So we should just meet up whenever we have time! :)

Astro On The Go Party With Churp Churp and Nuffnang

So last Saturday i went to this Astro On The Go Party organized by Churp Churp, Nuffnang and of course Astro! It was a launch of their Astro On The Go App where you can watch certain Astro programme on your iPhone, iPad and even Android phone. But Android user have to wait till September to enjoy this privilege. The party was at The Pool, Jalan Ampang. The place was kind difficult to find coz they dont have a big ass signboard or something. The signboard they have, you cant really read the words if you are driving. Coz you need to strain your eyes to read it but i think it's not a problem there coz that road is always jammed! Pfft. Anyway, let the photos do the talking. :)

Overall, the event was good! Everything went well, thank god. :P. And i think the app is cool where they allow Astro user to watch their programmes for free until 31st August 2012 if not mistaken. But too bad i dont have a iPhone or else i'll definitely try it out! Book Review : For One More Day by Mitch Albom

Just finished reading "For One More Day" by Mitch Albom. I have to say that i have mixed feelings after finished reading it. In fact, everytime i finishes a book or a movie, i have that kind of feeling. Weird, mixed feeling like i can no longer see the person in the book/movie anymore. Have you experienced that before? It's like something is missing. Hmm, anyway from this book, there's 2 major lessons learnt.

1. Make the correct decision
By this i mean correct, not good. Good is not neccesarily correct and correct might not necessarily be good. Why i say so? Because the leading character in this book made a decision that he regretted for his whole life. *Warning: Spoiler ahead!* The leading character's dad called and asked him to play for a match where that place is far from where he stayed and he needs to take plane to reach there. Initially he promised his mother to have brunch together with the family but because of a call from the dad(which is divorced from his mum), he lied to his mum saying he got a meeting to attend. After the game, he received a call from his wife saying that his mother died because she fell down and didnt manage to get help immediately. He regretted and thought that if he wasnt away from home, he could have save his mum. This one wrong decision cost him his life. His life was literally ruined.

2. See things from every angle
It's not good to see things one-sidedly because one day you might regret for being so biased. Again, spoiler ahead. :P. In the beginning of the book, the leading character's dad and mum was divorced and he put the blame on his mum for the absence of his dad. He thought that it was his mum who caused the divorced. He was so rebellious and against his mum throughout his teenage years. Only after the accident, when he met his mother (which might be a ghost or illusion, up to you to interpret), he realized that it was his dad that he had been admired for that long who caused the divorce. It was a shocking news and at that point, those regrets were like a pile of heavy rocks pushing him down leaving him speechless. That is why the old saying "Don't judge a book by its cover".

This is really a good book. And i think everyone should read it. Because sometimes you're too busy and overwhelmed with your life that you tend to forget something and take certain things for granted. It's really really a good book and i am planning to buy the other books written by Mitch Albom.

Mr Asahi Event @ Carlsberg Factory

Last Friday was quite a happening one. We had Funny Hat Friday, a colleague leaving and also an event at night, Mr Asahi Event. So let me lay out one by one. Funny Hat Friday, as it name suggests, we have to wear a funny hat on that day. what's the purpose you ask? Well, it's a fun-themed event where everyone can have fun. So those without hat will have to dance and it will be uploaded to our youtube channel. Everyone has chio hats. Mine is tadika hat. -___-. Funny hat mah. So i wore my tadika hat la. I'm following the theme! There's a few people who didn't put up their hat but that is not the main point because as i said earlier, we have a colleague leaving. Leaving the company. :(. I am not really close to her but after the Mr Asahi event, found out that she is actually a very nice and kind person. No wonder everyone (almost everyone) cried. We had Domino's Pizza for lunch.

Later in the evening, we went Carlsberg Factory for an event. It was the launch of Mr Asahi. As in they are introducing the robot bartender. Event started at 6.30pm. We reached there at around 4 to help to set up everything. Well i'm in awe when i saw the factory. Coz they have their own pub! With all kinds of beers! Ok, call me a jakun or something. But seriously, this is the first time i step my foot onto a beer factory. That's why my jaws dropped when i saw it.

Registration started at 5.30 and that's when my job started. I'm in charge of the registration with my another colleague, Emelia. 7pm was the brewery tour. I wanted to go but due to the fact that i need to be at the registration counter, i can't go. :(. Hopefully there's next time so that i visit the factory. Dinner was served at 7.30pm. After that, it was the dance off competition. All the contestants are so good in dancing! And the first prize winner definitely deserve the prize. It was really a good performance. The whole thing ended at around 10.30 where it was a free and easy mingling session after that. Everyone was chilling and chatting. To be honest, this is my first time attending beer event. It was a nice experience. Oh and, Asahi is, really super dry. I don't know whether is it me or what. I actually felt quite thirsty after drinking it. Maybe because it's super dry? But the beer tastes good though. Didn't take much pictures because i was taking it using the company's camera so i forgot to take using mine. ._. but here are a few that i took.

Ikea Damansara

So last weekend i went to Ikea in Damansara. Ya i know it's not something very special. But it's been a loooooong time since i went there. My last time there was like 3 or 4 years back. So i get kinda excited when i know i'm going there! :D Well my sole purpose of going there is to get their meatballs. Yes!! Meatballs! and not furniture. Lol. Honestly, things have changed quite a bit since the last time I went. So yea, I was kind of excited and I was like little kids checking out those stuff there. And I took lots of photos. Heh.

The queue is really long! But the wait wasn't hehe. Maybe coz those workers are efficient. ;)

I like the way they display their prawns. :)

Meatballs!!!

We ordered poached salmon with chives sauce, meatballs, mushroom soup and almond chocolate cake.

I like this. Though the sauce might not be likeable by others. Oh btw, the broccoli is HUMONGOUS! So satisfying!

Ooops, forgot bout the cinnamon bun. It tastes good after heating it with the microwave.

What fascinates me the most about this machine is that all drinks are sold at RM1. FREAKING RM1! ok la, not all, like those bottled drinks, it's RM2. But other than that, everything is at RM1. Pepsi leh! Ok, maybe you said Pepsi is selling like less than RM1 in hypermarkets but considering this is in the middle of the shopping centre, it's very cheap.

Chocolate Milk Tea from Ding Tea. First time trying their chocolate. Quite nice though. Another drink i like from Ding Tea is the oolong milk tea. Quite nice. Worth a try. ;)

Another awesome thing is their flea market. Not sure whether is it called flea market. There's a row of stalls selling all kinds of things at the pathway. Near Sakae Sushi that pathway. Ok la, maybe people who stay nearby there goes everyday (if they're opened everyday) but the things are awesome. I even bought those meme badges. So cute! Shall upload the pics later. ;).

Penang Trip

Went Penang last weekend and i stayed in this hotel called Chulia Heritage Hotel. By just listening to this name, what comes into your mind? The word Heritage sounds ancient? Chulia sounds like dont know what kind of places is that? Tell you, this hotel is really nice. It's quite affordable. You can choose for rooms that don't have attached bathroom. That would be like RM50 cheaper than those with attached bathroom. Does the word attached bathroom sounds like filthy to you? Haha, you should really go their toilet. Even though it's shared, it's super clean! Undeniably it's a bit small la. But if you're just looking for a place to stay over at night and don't mind about the small bathroom then it's more than enough already. And the most important thing is their cleanliness. It's really good man. Last time when i stayed over at Naza Hotel, Penang, whenever i lift the blanket, i can't stop sneezing. But this one, no matter how you did it, you won't sneeze and they smell damn nice too. Hehe. This is really one good hotel. Thumbs up. If i were to rate them, 3.5/5. The thing is that their lobby don't have air cond so it can be really hot especially when there's long queue. Oh ya, they have free wifi too. Don't need to go lobby to surf, can surf in your own room. Cool right? :)

So apparently my job requires me to write more, as in blogging, erm, not quite also la. In short, writing skills is a very important skill. And somehow my writing skill sort of deteriorated. Well maybe because i dont write/ blog that often already, that's why. Since practise makes perfect, i will start to blog more. Serious! And what will be my topic? Hehe. I will blog about past events like where did i go, what did i eat and stuff and also upcoming stuff la. Yes, you can say that it will be like anything under the sun. There will be review on food, skincare stuff and also things that are interesting. Hopefully i still have readers out there. T_T

First Day

So today is the first day of my internship. Well well, it's quite fun actually. In the beginning la. Coz i get to go around and get to know more people. And since it's an orientation day for me, i actually expected them to ask me to do stuff like singing and etc. Turns out that they were quite busy today so most of them gave me their names without asking me to do anything. Oh except for 2 where i was required to take a photo of myself with robotic pose and do a dance dare (like on the Ellen show). Quite fun but later in the afternoon, after getting all (almost) the names, it was a bit boring coz there's nothing to do. Lol, they asked me to enjoy my first day first coz i wont get to enjoy after this. Haha. Let's see what's waiting for me ahead. :)

Ok, again my last post was like half a year ago. No, it's 8 months ago. Wao! Well what to do? Was busying with my final year project. And ya, it just ended yesterday. Well, not really ended la. But at least i'm done with the presentation for now. And here comes the 2nd "exciting" part which is the written report. And soon after that, by soon i mean real soon, like less than 1 week, there comes final exam. Woo~ Eggcited!! X) Can't wait for that. LOLOL!!

Ok, let me continue the story of the goat. I was waiting for the bus to come and then i heard some bell ringing. I was curious and kept looking for the source of the sound and then i saw the goat. It's not just one goat but a few. Like what you see in movies, where a kid chasing goats back to their barn( is it called barn? or something else?) And this goat was the slowest so i took the photo of the goat. And voila, there it appears on my blog. Lol. Anyway, couldnt stop myself from posting this..

Waffle by Gardenia. It's either i bought the wrong flavour to try or the waffle is just plain, er, not yummy. Actually the story goes like this la. I bought it and then i tried it before toasted it. Nom nom, tastes like bread. Then i decided to toast it to see whether it will taste nicer. But i think i toasted it for too long. It became a bit hard, like biscuit. =_=. But no choice, have to eat it anyway. Put on some butter and took a bite. Err, okay. No second time. Well, that's my personal experience la. Maybe i did it the wrong way. Or maybe their cinnamon taste is too strong. So yea, not to my liking.

Went to watch Nasi Lemak 2.0 at TGV Sunway Pyramid yesterday. I didn't expect much from the movie but it turned out quite good. Erm, i should say the movie is reflecting what's happening in Malaysia and it includes lots of stuff that we always encounter in our real life. Like how we say things colloquially. Haha, Malaysia style mah. Well give this movie a try. :). What i love the most in this movie is how all the cast can speak so many kind of languages. Even Hainan! Like seriously? I can't even speak hainan myself. Shame.

Oh btw, if you don't, you might not have the chance after next week coz according to some source, the movie will be taken down after next week. So hurry up and go watch it! :). Just a piece of advice, buy your ticket before heading the cinema or else you might just return with a disappointment. It might not happen during weekdays la but tickets are really hot selling during the weekends. So yea, get your tix before heading to cinema. And this applies to ALL the cinemas. :)

Oh ya, i did say i'll reveal the answer for the photo on the previous post right? Well, that's a goat. And guess where i saw it? Just beside of the highway!! :O.uh-may-zing!!!

Yea, i even changed my blog layout and all those stuff. Well, i just have the sudden urge to blog. You know you know? And i do have a lot of things to blog about. You know sometimes like after i took a photo, i already thought of blogging about it and even thought of a nice caption and nice paragraph. But well, then here comes the procrastination/laze monster where you will not be bothered post about it anymore. Lol!! Ok, let's see what photos we have to talk about. *Browsing through photos* Hmm, not much photos coz my memory card went corrupted few weeks ago. And almost 1000+ photos gone!!! *cries* Ok, i shall divert my attention.

Talking about Gong Cha, it tastes really really good. Incomparable to Chatime. Seriously. I personally like the GC Signature Milk Oolong Tea because the taste of the tea is very kaw and the milk foam that blends with the tea is just nice. <3 it.

Looking back at the last post i posted, it was like almost 3 months ago. We are already in the 2nd half of the year. And i remembered, when i wrote that, i was about to having my finals. Now, i've completed my finals for Year 2 Sem 2 and i'm in Year 2 Sem 3 now. Okay, time really flies. I remembered that i just entered uni like less than 2 years ago and now i am almost graduating. 1 more year to go. And this week is the 6th week for this semester. Wow.. Ok, have to stop complaining about how time flies and get back to work.

Havent been updated for like 3 weeks. Been busying with assignments and midterms. So yea, that's why. Referring back to the title. Oooh, yesterday when i was taking bus from uni, i was suprised when i entered the bus. Because..........the bus looks exactly like Singapore's buses!!! Ok, you might ask, so what if it looked like Singapore's buses? IT'S STILL A BUS WHAT SO EXCITED? Ehehe, well, this has got something to do with my own thing la. It reminds me of the day i went to Singapore. Yah, just that. Blerr.. Ok, go see the photos i took. I took it secretly. Lol, coz i dont want to look like a sua ku.. :P

Saw this when the bus stopped in front of the traffic light. Those chicken looked.....weird. they weren't struggling in fact they were sort of like cuddling each other. Maybe because it's raining?The new bus looks nice right?
Well, i think the new bust looks nicer than those old ones. O course la, new mah.. duhh...
