The battery itself is a beast. I’ve had it now for 3 days, and it easily goes 100% over the stock battery. Last night, I was trying to run the battery down to wipe stats and calibrate it (Custom ROM, etc), and I couldn’t get it to die.

IMO, I believe you could easily be looking @ 36-48 hours of heavy usage on this one before it finally needs a recharge.

As HTC Evo 4G uses mini-USB, you can pretty much get any Mini USB car chargers.  The one I recommend for best value/performance is this one for Blackberries, just $7 on Amazon.

For those of you who want to charge other USB gadgets in your car such as an iPod, you can get a USB car charger and just hook up your mini USB cable to the HTC Evo 4G.

I actually like these types of USB car chargers better over the mini-USB because you can usually leave the USB car charger in the cigarette slot and just stow away your mini USB cable when not in use.

My recommendation for a USB car charger is the PowerJolt USB Car Charger, which comes with not one but “two” USB slots so you can charge two devices simultaneously, just $11.50 on Amazon.

For those of you who travel a lot, you might want to get the HTC Evo 4G USB charger but for those of you who want to also use it as a USB charger for all other USB gadgets you own, get the USB chargers.

My recommendation for best value and performance is this HTC Evo 4G mini-USB charger, which is actually made for Blackberries but it doesn’t matter as they charge any smartphones with mini-USB, just $4.50 on Amazon.

I actually find these mini-USB chargers more convenient as they are all “connected”, better for traveling.
