I found this cool water simulation on vimeo done by pixelpro with realflow.
It's only a showoff and a breakdown of water falling down and hitting the ground but I think it looks really nice.

Water or liquid simulations are quite hard to do. Realflow seems to do a really good job with that but the render times are enormous.
Look through his channel to see more liquid animations and breakdowns.

What a great reel from 30ml: Basic, cool looking, different and transports the message.

Maybe its just me but at the moment stop motion animation gets really popular again. Nice to see such an "old" way of animation in between all the 2D motion graphics and 3D stuff.

You may have noticed that .eps files do not work in Leopard's Quick Look -- only the icon with some file attributes is shown.

If you want to get a thumbnail icon and a preview in Quick Look, you may want to download the free EPSQuickLookPlugin and install it into your ~/Library/QuickLook folder (if there's no such folder, just create it). A restart may be necessary.

I just found a pretty handy plug in for OSX Quick Look to preview .EPS files.
Its always worth a look for an external plug in if you have a filetype which is not supported by osx.

Quite nice spot for Toyota. Not too special but I really like the integration of real footage and CG.

My tip for the day is a script for After Effects which tries to find edits in a video sequence and splits it into different layers.
I used it for my latest project. It didn't worked with every movie or edit but it saved me some time.
Check it out if you have to slice up a lot of footage or take a look around on After Effects Scripts. Maybe you find something helpful.

Apart from the cool looking animation I like the sound design a lot.
These "dark ink on white background" animations seem to be quite popular at the moment.

Just learned 5 cool new tools in Photoshop CS5 with the help of Terry White.

Nice short video. The concept reminds me a bit of videocopilots "The Bullet" tutorial but nicely done.
