Breezy weekends on the highest tier of the Skyview Center where nothing separates sky and self but a few thick slabs of concrete. It’s eerily serene: wind in hair and the 7 train hurtling by every 5 minutes without fail.

It was only a matter of time before a high street brand renditioned Celine SS13, and I think H&M did an exceptional job. But then again I’m partial to all things black & mesh so maybe I’m biased. Clearly, the more important question though: Is it still called side-boob if it’s from the inside side?

Weekends in flimsy dresses and pointed ballerina stompers. Believe it or not, right before these photos were taken I sat down on a ledge under a berry tree and squashed a giant, unforgiving purple berry. Needless to say, I spent the rest of the afternoon hunched over a bucket with detergent, water, and white vinegar. But seriously though, white vinegar cures all.

Still enamored with this little eyelet blouse from MJ Resort ’13, especially over a perfect wrap skirt and clunky boots. Ideal ensemble for a hot balmy day making rounds in Williamsburg.

I think I’ve decided my Spring palette to be white + denim. It’s just so effortless, and maybe it’s the lazy in me speaking but there doesn’t seem to any simpler equation than a white tank and ripped jeans. And when that white tank dips dangerously low in the back and those ripped jeans slouch so perfectly borrowed-from-the-boys, that equation gets ever so much more interesting.

This is my favorite white button-down. I can’t tell which aspect of it is more perfect: the delicate embroidery, the indecisive half poplin half eyelet construction, the boxy boyish shape or the precise turned-down collar. It’s the one piece I would wear everyday if I wasn’t such a white-clothes-klutz when it comes to ketchup and soy sauce.

Gloomy days call for ripped jeans & slouchy blouses, stacked bangles, and a chunky belt. Love how brilliantly green rain makes the leaves. I’m usually more poetic, but drugged up at the moment on Allegra & Sudafed (yay pollen), so this is the best I can do. Off to try and run on my busted knee at the gym now. Woo. Happy weekend!

The search for the perfect crisp white pair of wide-leg pants has finally come to an end. The ones I’ve come across have always been the wrong shade, way too long, or made of some flimsy, undecided chiffon. Of course I forgot the most obvious place to look: classic workwear separates. So glad to finally find this pair from Spiegel: the whitest white in a beautiful ponte knit, just long enough to graze the bottoms of my heels.. clocking in at under $40. You know you want a pair.

So happy that loungewear as outerwear is a thing, otherwise I’d be loathe to even leave my bed on weekends. Yay for easy basics over the silkiest of wide legged trousers, clean slate to let the accessories do all the talking.
