Dicionário de bolso de espanhol (a língua está cheia de falsos cognatos; além disso, é um jeito ivertido de aprender mais).&lt;br /&gt;Um bom guia de viagem (usamos os The Rough Guide of Argentina e Chile).&lt;br /&gt;Óleo e filtros para a(s) troca(s), pois não é seguro que o tipo certo será encontrado nas cidades de destino.&lt;br /&gt;Peças básicas de reposição: cabo de embreagem, velas de ignição, fusíveis reserva, lâmpadas de farol, freio/luz de presença e pisca.&lt;br /&gt;Remédios básicos: anti-inflamatórios, própolis, curativos, band-aid e outros que você costuma usar. A gente usa bastante o Salsep para umedecer o nariz (o ar seco faz casquinhas que dificultam a respiração e machucam). Um colírio recomendado pelo seu oftalmologista também vai bem. E bastante filtro solar.&lt;br /&gt;Camburão de gasolina que garanta uma autonomia de pelo menos 300 km para a sua moto. Algumas distâncias entre postos chegam a isso mesmo, se você for para a região da Patagônia ou deserto de Atacama.&lt;br /&gt;Chips para sua câmera fotográfica, pilhas adicionais e pen-drives para guardar fotos. Ah, e não esqueça do cabo da sua máquina para transferir as fotos nas lan houses.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 51);"&gt;Antes da viagem &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Revise completamente as motos em um mecânico de sua inteira confiança e verifique se os pneus irão sobreviver até o fim da viagem. Na dúvida, troque-os por novos. Estude o manual e aprenda a fazer os procedimentos básicos (troca de óleo, aperto de espelhos) em caso de necessidade. Faça um exame médico completo para não ter surpresas desagradáveis bem no meio do nada. Visite seu dentista para uma revisão. Ninguém consegue curtir férias com dor de dente. Mesmo tendo feito check-up no médico e dentista, convém fazer um seguro viagem (qualquer agência de turismo faz). Um dos nossos amigos precisou de um otorrino em Copiapó, no meio do Atacama, e deu tudo certo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 51);"&gt;Dinheiro &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ao chegar em uma cidade no feriado e não achar uma casa de câmbio aberta, procure um Cassino (há pelo menos um nas cidades turísticas da Argentina e do Chile). Eles sempre trocam dólares e a taxa não é ruim. Ótimo para emergências. Você pode levar pesos, dólares ou reais, mas a moeda mais versátil ainda é o dólar. Os pesos podem ser comprados no Brasil (é bom levar o suficiente para o primeiro dia, principalmente se cruzar a fronteira num domingo ou feriado), mas a vantagem do dólar é que, em geral, as taxas são melhores e todo mundo aceita. Os reais podem ser trocados, mas apenas nas cidades maiores em casas de câmbio (não conte com isso). Convém levar cartões de crédito internacionais, mas nos últimos anos (2008/09) muitos estabelecimentos na Argentina (inclusive postos de gasolina) têm se recusado a aceitá-los (a inflação deles está em ritmo de crescimento). Então, não conte apenas com eles.&lt;br /&gt;Em geral, para estimar o custo da viagem, a gente usa uma fórmula que tem dado certo. É o seguinte: calcule U$100/dia para um casal, para despesas de alimentação e hospedagem. Depois, é só calcular a gasolina de acordo com a distância e adicionar à conta. De moto não dá mesmo para fazer comprinhas...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 51);"&gt;Altitude &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Convém não comer muito antes de atravessar os Pasos, a fim de evitar problemas com a altitude (tem gente que sente náuseas e vomita). Uma dica que dá certo para nós é a aclimatação. Passamos pelo menos 2 dias em cidades altas antes de fazer a travessia.&lt;br /&gt;Há quem mastigue folhas de coca ou tome o chá (vendido nas cidades). Dizem que atenua os efeitos da altitude mas não sentimos diferença (além do mais, o gosto é horroroso, parecido com chá de losna).&lt;br /&gt;Em caso de dor de cabeça, um analgésico comum resolve.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 51);"&gt;Comunicação &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Para ligar para o Brasil da Argentina: 0800 999 5500 (Telefonica) | 0800 555 5500 (Telecom) | 0800 9995501 (pré-pago). Para ligar para o Brasil do Chile: 800 360220 (Entel) | 800 800272 (Telefonica).&lt;br /&gt;Tanto na Argentina, como no Uruguai ou no Chile é muito fácil encontrar lan houses (eles chamam de locutórios). Você vai ficar conectado mesmo que esteja no fim do mundo.&lt;br /&gt;Nunca levamos celulares, por isso, não sabemos como é o funcionamento deles nesses locais. Se estiverem com mais de uma moto ou carro, combinem um número no Brasil para ligar, caso se percam. Assim, o primeiro que ligar diz onde está e o segundo que liga fica sabendo e vai até lá. Já funcionou com o Conrado em uma ocasião em que ele viajou com amigos.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 51);"&gt;Combustível&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Procure abastecer quando o tanque chegar na metade. Desta forma, uma eventual gasolina de baixa qualidade ou contaminada é diluída com a gasolina ainda remanescente no tanque e o motor não fica prejudicado. Não se engane: gasolina em espanhol é nafta. Se você ver a sigla gas, significa gasoil (óleo diesel). Esse erro pode ser fatal para o motor...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 51);"&gt;Roupas e equipamentos &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Compre o melhor capacete que você puder — a qualidade da viagem vai depender muito dele. Leve roupas de frio. A temperatura no ponto mais alto da Cordilheira pode chegar a zero grau (mais o vento) mesmo no auge do verão. Nós usamos as feitas com os tecidos especiais Thermopro e XPower (fácil de achar em lojas de esportes de aventura).&lt;br /&gt;Para grandes distâncias, é mais confortável usar protetores auriculares para suportar melhor o barulho da moto. Usamos o descartável da marca 3M. O ideal é usar botas especiais, mas a gente usa botinas Timberland e elas têm aguentado bem (além de serem menos desconfortáveis).&lt;br /&gt;Se o banco da moto for muito duro, convém levar uma almofada. Ela pode ser presa com extensores se você colocar ilhoses grandes nas laterais. Sem isso, ela cai cada vez que você se levanta (já perdi uma assim). Há almofadas de ar (Air Hawk) que parecem ótimas, mas nunca usamos.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 51);"&gt;Mala das meninas&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Em viagens mais longas, é mais confortável trocar as calcinhas por cuecas do tipo boxer (aquelas que parecem um shortinho). Prefira as de algodão ou Supplex, que deixam o corpo respirar. Evite usar a calça de moto (aquelas especiais, com joelheira) direto no corpo, pois o forro gruda e dificulta os movimentos, além de ser desconfortável. Coloque uma calça legging por baixo (pode ser de Thermopro ou outro material respirável).&lt;br /&gt;Se estiver calor, uma bermuda de microfibra já resolve.&lt;br /&gt;Jamais viaje sem muitos pacotinhos de lenços de papel nos bolsos — você vai precisar o tempo todo.&lt;br /&gt;Não se esqueça de colocar um chinelo Havaianas na mala. A gente nunca sabe onde vai pisar e está cheio de pousadas com piso frio e sem tapetes.&lt;br /&gt;Distribua seus cremes em potes pequenos e sempre coloque um saco plástico em volta. Assim, se algum explodir, você não perde tudo e nem corre o risco de ter uma crise de descontrole... Vá numa loja de embalagens e compre saquinhos pequenos com fecho zip (é barato e eles vendem aos centos). Servem para guardar algodão, elásticos de cabelo, grampos, brincos e outras miudezas fáceis de se perder.&lt;br /&gt;Na Argentina e no Chile eles vendem sachês de shampoo e condicionador em qualquer posto de gasolina e é bem baratinho, de maneira que não vale à pena levar um tubão de shampoo.&lt;br /&gt;Outra dica é comprar aqueles cremes de tratamento em sachês que vendem por aqui (um pouco mais caros) e usar como condicionador. Se você tem cabelos compridos, eles vão sofrer bastante na viagem e merecem o investimento.&lt;br /&gt;Já que você não vai poder levar muita roupa (no máximo mais uma calça para ir jantar e algumas camisetas), leve muitos acessórios (brincos, colares e lenços), que não ocupam espaço e evitam que você fique parecendo que acabou de cair de um avião militar de ajuda humanitária.&lt;br /&gt;O bom dos desertos é que o clima é seco e as coisas secam rapidinho durante a noite se você colocar dentro de uma toalha e torcer bem. Sempre achei o fim lavar calcinhas no chuveiro, mas em viagens assim a gente precisa se adaptar...&lt;br /&gt;Não se esqueça de levar uma bolsa de tecido (é menos volumosa). É ruim e totalmente deselegante sair para jantar com os bolsos cheios de bugigangas. Além disso, ninguém pode correr o risco de perder a carteira.&lt;br /&gt;Tenha sempre um protetor labial nos bolsos da sua jaqueta (eu prefiro as do tipo parca, porque têm mais bolsos). Os lábios ressecam demais. Um bom hidratante para a noite também é bem importante. Eu coleciono amostras de perfumes durante o ano para usar nas férias. É bem prático e você não corre o risco de quebrar um vidro inteiro.&lt;br /&gt;Não se esqueça de levar um boné ou chapéu.
