Peace of Mind

PC Angel takes a weight off your mind by:

Giving you the comfort of knowing that an IT Professional is actively monitoring your PC or Laptop

Providing proactive alerts that generate support tickets automatically

Updating your PC or Laptop professionally, so as to counter system vulnerabilities and plug security hole

Keeping you informed about your hardware via automated reporting

Data Security

Automatic back-up of your most important files

Email alerts to keep your IT professional fully informed

Visual messaging to reassure you that your data is secure

Easy-to-use software for increasing your storage or restoring your data

The Effect of Lost Data on Business Operations

Companies recognize that data loss represents a business risk. Even if a monetary value is not assigned to the data, the negative effects on operations can be significant. In many cases, corporate operations can be so adversely affected that companies feel the need to mention the risk in regulatory filings and shareholder reports.

Three types of damage may occur because of data loss. First, data may be unrecoverable. In this case, important business records may be lost forever or available only in hard-copy form. Any business process that is dependent on that data will now be considerably hindered. This is the worst form of damage that can occur.

Next, data may be recoverable but may require considerable time to restore. This scenario—the most likely—assumes that data is backed up in some other place, separate from the primary source. This is a better situation than irrecoverable loss, but the data will be unavailable while recovery operations take place. In some cases, not all the data may be recovered. This is a common problem with data restored from nightly backups. Any data created during the day when the primary data was lost is not on the backup tapes and is lost forever.

Finally, while data is unavailable, either permanently or temporarily, applications not directly related to lost data may fail. This is especially true of relational databases that reference other databases. Loss of a central database of customer information, for example, may cause problems with the sales system because it references customer information. A loss of this type can result in cascade failures, in which several applications fail because of their dependence on another application’s data.

Are you a professional business person either working alone in a small office or from home? Are you aware that your critical data can be at risk? Would you find it useful to have an expert monitoring your PC or Laptop and able to help you when you are in difficulty? If the answer to these questionions are yes, then perhaps you need to find out more about PC Angel. You can find more information on the website, just click here

How to make more of your money and spread costs when needing to make major purchases particularly in IT (Information Technology or Computers). This shows the benefits of leasing equipment as opose to using valuable cash in these hard times such as the credit crunch.

Punching above your weight as a small business

You may be a small business, but do you have to act like one? And should size be a barrier to acquiring the benefits of sophisticated IT technology?

Not everyone thinks so, especially not ICT Solutions. They make it their business to level the playing field and put you on a par with any corporate big-hitter or global player at a price you can live with. You’ll enjoy their advantages, and grow your business into the bargain – it’s just a matter of getting access to the right technical resources and support package.

What’s the trick?

First, a typical scenario.

You started as a one-man band working from home. But your business has taken off. You’ve rented an office and hired staff for the first time. Your main priority is to get out and about to support existing clients and generate new ones. However, you discover that communications have become an issue. Phones, not such a problem, perhaps, but what about broadband, email and access to documents, files and shared files? In short, wouldn’t it be brilliant if everyone could work as if they were in the office, no matter where they happened to be?

This needs sorting urgently, but there are sticking points. Firstly, time. You’re far too busy handling the business and managing your new-found people. Secondly, you know absolutely nothing about technology and can’t justify an IT specialist on £25k+ per annum. Nor keep one occupied for more than a few hours a week.

You’ve also already sunk most of your capital into servicing your growth, so the prospect of buying a small private network to link up your computers, plus a server for some central management, is a non-starter, well beyond your financial ambit. Wouldn’t it be great if you were able to get your IT up and running with minimal drain on capital, zero distraction from core business and reliable, ongoing management that keeps problems at arm’s length?

Pie in the sky?

Not according to ICT Solutions. Consider the option of leasing. Asset Leasing obviates the need to make outright purchases of equipment and allows you to:

Acquire a small, entry-level server (prices have recently fallen)

Access your files from anywhere in the world via a VPN (virtual private network) or Sharepoint service

Use email on the move, wherever you are, accessible from your own server

Have your network monitored 24×7 under the terms of a Managed Service Agreement

Enjoy the services of your own outsourced IT manager

All this is available from a range of suppliers and is well within most small company budgets.

What other benefits of leasing are there?

Asset Leasing provides a range of financial benefits:

Monies stay in the bank as part of your cash flow

The cost can be spread over 2 – 4 years

All payments are reclaimable against tax

All VAT is reclaimable

You can have the goods collected and then start afresh with new equipment

You may continue to pay a small annual rental fee

A third part can purchase the rights from the lease Company and sell the equipment to you.

What to do next …………………….

Data can be lost through a wide range of souces, backups that aren’t checked for validity, backups that don’t actually run, hardware failure, fire and companies that don’t actually backup anything. Who can afford to lose critical data, for example, contracts, accounts, customer records and legal documents.
