But now, I can’t leave the house without it.  No! I don’t have a huge collection of lipsticks, but I found ones that are worth mentioning for. For instance, this Estee Lauder lipstick palette with 8 shades.

Why you need this palette?

First, I love the packaging, you can bring it anywhere you want. You can easily put it on your pocket.  It also comes with a lip brush, but I throw it away,  I preferred to used my lip brush.

Second, it comes with 8 different shades, from dark red to light pink.  The colors look good on women with morena complexion like me.  My favorite are candy, melon and lady pink.

I never thought pink based lipstick will work on me, so it took me couple of months before I tested out the pink shades. I was amazed when I tried Nectarine and Rose Tea.  Never ever judge the lip shade unless you’ve tried it.

If you can get your favorite makeup online on the half of the price.. Why not? Knowing all of us, kikays can’t resist big discounts, especially if it is MAC, Urban Decay and other well-known cosmetic brands. But your excitement will fade away, if you’ll discover that what you get are only replicas or fake cosmetics.

When I started buying makeups, I always make sure I only grab the authentic ones, especially that cosmetics are one-click away in the worldwideweb.  Because, aside that fake ones are not good for the skin, I’m also afraid to spend more money to cure the skin problems replicas can caused.

I’ve known that MAC cosmetics from SG are not real ones; however there are sellers keep on insisting that they are authentic. In fact, some sellers said their products are made from US, but bought them in SG (kung makalusot lang, it’s so wagas!) But of course, everyone has different stories why they need to earn more money.

So  I should remind my co-shoppers and you faithful readers to think twice before buying replicas or fake cosmetics.  Okay, maybe you’re not familiar on how to spot the fakes ones. Below are some of my tips.

1. Be updated and know more with your favorite makeup brands. At least know their latest collections or products, their latest price. For example, NYX has Crimson Amulet Collection inspired by Dark Shadows movie and you can buy it for almost half of its original price during Black Friday or Halloween.
2. Know the packaging. You are familiar from the font size and types, and their names. When buying online, research is your bestfriend!
3. Go for trusted source.  I’m not telling you that all sellers on Facebook, Ebay or Multiply are selling replicas or fake cosmetics.  Of course! There are some sellers that are honest and legit.  Just take extra time to find them.  In any case you can’t trust any seller; you can buy makeup directly from their website, and since payment and shipping option is no longer a problem here in the Philippines.

Although, most of the companies are doing some measures to stop replicas and fake cosmetics from spreading, as a buyer, it is also our part to know whether we are buying the original not the fake ones. Plus we also need to make sure what we are applying to our face or skin is safe or not.

To that, it is best to start with the closet, right? To sum up, most of my wardrobes are I-wish-I-didn’t-buy-them, can-be-worn-once, and not that functional at all. It needs a general closet cleanup.

The first thing I consider is my lifestyle and the activities I am active with. It could help me to narrow down my clothing options. Most of the time, I love to travel to different places, workout to improve my posture and my health, catch exciting blogging events and of course attending  regular Sunday worship.  So little activities noh? I work at home for an online company, that’s why my offline life is so boring.

Another next thing to consider is my body type. Knowing my own body type could stop me from buying   clothes that I’ll never wear.  Instead, I can focus more on the ones that suits me well.

I have an undefined waist (25’), narrower hips (34), and small bust (32). In other words, I have an amazing rectangular body shape (lol). Of course, there are lots of options when you are shopping dresses for a rectangular or athletic built.

To give an illusion of more curves, that is my motto when I am choosing my clothes.

• I avoid super fit clothes because they emphasize my straight body.
• I also stay away from low neckline; it makes my small bust so obvious, hahaha unless if I am wearing padded bra or if it has some cover up.
• I love tops with some ruffles.
• I buy tops that can make my waist smaller pair them with skirts or pants that can add curves, so it will create an illusion of hourglass body.
• Wide belts are my bestfriend to create a defined waist.

First is the Clinique 7 days Scrub Cream and I’m using it for a couple of weeks now. It has sand-like grains, so I gently massage on my face, especially on the forehead part.  I have nothing against with this scrub as it is easy to apply. Plus you can wipe it off using a tissue or rinse with water.

After using for a couple of weeks, I didn’t have any negative reaction.  Although it claims that it is safe to use every day, I prefer to use it two to three times a week. And it works well turning my dry skin into a smooth one.

Next is the Clinique Youth Surge Night.  It is recommend applying at night as the label claims too.  This one is said to be a decelerating night moisturizer.  I’m not really sure though if it really makes your skin young, since until now I didn’t see any dramatic change. But it really saves my skin from drying when I went to Baguio City for a vacation. It is very cold there, and the weather makes your skin so dry, thanks for this hard working moisturizer.

In the morning, I’m using Clinique Moisture Surge- one of the best moisturizers I’ve even been tested.   In the label, it says you can use it whenever wherever needed under or over makeup.  But for me, it works well under makeup coz it conditions my skin, not to mention fast –drying BB creams like Colour Collection BB Cream and even foundation can be easily blend with this moisture mask.

Lastly, is the Clinique Turnaround Concentrate works as a visible skin renewer. I apply it in the morning before putting some makeup on. Sometimes I am only using it and happy with the results coz it evens out my skin tone, makes my skin glow and didn’t have any skin problem now.

I’m still using this Clinique set until they run out or until I find another outstanding set as a good alternative. Perhaps, one tube is not enough to judge whether the product is good or not.

I’ve been using this BB cream early this year, so now I’m ready to share how awesome this product is.

In the label, this Colour Collection Gluta Whitening BB cream has the  combination of Glutathione, Papaya Extract, with Hazel extract, Aloe Vera and shea butter that are known for effective whitening, thus, you’ll get maximum moisturizing results.

BB cream is widely known because of its multiple skin-caring benefits. It can work as moisturizer, concealer, and foundation in one with  SPF. But CC BB cream promises to whitens, moisturizes and protects you from UVB rays coz it has 27 SPF.

When it comes to its whitening effect, I’m not sure about it since I didn’t see any dramatic results, plus I prefer some remedies on how to achieve a glowing morena skin. Let’s focus on moisturizing and other effects, shall we?

The first thing I noticed is that my skin did not suffer any breakout while I’m using this BB cream. Then the staying power is really awesome as it stays throughout the day (maybe it also depends on your activity), no more retouch. Woot!

The best thing about this BB cream is, it does not clog pores. It means it’s safe even if you use it every day. It is also affordable.  For P379 you’ll get 40ml tube, this is far the most affordable BB cream with good results.

Colour Collection BB cream has only limited shades to choose from. So this would be a problem to others, for me, it suits my skin well.

Another minor drawback when this product is that you’re only limited to purchase it to Tupperware dealers. I’m not sure if it can be purchased online. Drawbacks can’t out win its benefits right?

If you’re looking for non-greasy BB cream that hide your blemishes without a heavy feeling in an affordable price, this one is for you.

Everyone loves stripes anyway; fashion designers adored them, popular celebrities admired them, our favorite Pinay bloggers are wearing stripes. Even ordinary ladies can wear them. Yes we can buy and look fab with any kind of stripes such as nautical stripes, horizontal stripes, vertical striped blouses or dresses.

To have your own stripes, select first for stripes you are most suited. Each body has a pattern to choose from.  It could be brighter, bigger or bolder stripes. You can also choose horizontal, vertical or diagonal styles.

Dig some style inspirations from Magazines, from your favorite celebrities or fashion blogs you follow. And of course Pinterest! where I grabbed all the photos.
Ask a stylist for best stripes for you. You can even bring some of your friends to see whether it suits you or not (this is a great resort if you can’t afford to hire a professional one).

One of my favorite tutorials online is this pinky-girly made by Jessica Harlow. Every time I watched the video, I have the urge to get  a couple of pink eye shadows or a palette. Thanks goodness, a kikay goddess heard my wish. Sis Raffy the lady behind the BidfromZero page sent me this Sephora colorful palette that comes with  all colors being used in the said  pinky smokey eye tutorial. It consists both  the   dark pink and light pink eye shadow  plus the shimmering white – that can be applied also  as a  highlighter.

I joined her feedback contest few months ago, (thus this is a super late post, sorry), but I didn’t win the grand prize which is the Urban Decay Palette, but still I got this awesome palette.

Sephora Colorful Palette in Pretty has four eye shadows with a circular compact with a double –ended applicator.  But I end up throwing the applicator, I don’t need it since I prefer to use  the earth friendly – Ecotools eyeshadow brush that I purchased few months ago.

For eyeshadow, each shade  comes with a shimmery texture that really pop out with one glide, which means you don’t need to add more glitters. With a good primer, the colors will stay all night. It can be used either wet or dry also to create different options. This palette is enriched with green tea that soothes your delicate eye area. (big check)

We all know that some cosmetic companies kill numerous  animals just to test the products. They are doing it to make sure that  the content of their products are safe for the consumers.  However, I highly support non-animal testing methods, so I take time looking for cosmetics brands that are cruelty-free.

One of the cruelty-free makeups  I found online is Milani. This cosmetic brand is from LA, CA.  And the first Milani products I owned are the solid ship lip pencil in three different colors; a tube lip gloss and ultra shine lip gloss.  I got these items from winning the mine auction at BidfromZero in Facebook.

But this time I’ll focus on my first impression and reviews of Milani Solid Lip Pencil. I mentioned I bought three colors. However, right after I received the package, I handed one lip pencil to a friend. So the colors left on my hand are the Sunfire and DeepViolet.

Milani Solid Lip Pencil is a shine lipstick, and lip gloss combined together in one application.  Based on my experience, it has a soft texture that you can glide smoothly on your lips. For Sunfire, I really love the shimmery orange on it while DeepViolet is a dramatic dark plum, darker than NightViolet.

You’ll be amazed by the intensity of the colors; they are pigmented and rich and one glide is enough. But you need to be extra careful when applying, since you can smudge it easily. You need a steady hand or use a lip brush.

Very affordable yet it works similarly with expensive lip pencils. You’ll also be amazed by its performance since it last longer. I love to use these lip pencils on my clients who are joining beauty contests ^_^, since it won’t require a retouch.

I don’t find any drawback with these lip pencils.  Maybe I only picked colors that are unsuitable for my skin tone. However, they do wonders to my clients.   I highly recommend these Milani Solid Shine lip pencils, especially if you are looking for an alternative of high-end lip pencil or lipliner brands that truly lasts without digging a hole in your pocket.

Men think it’s a woman’s dream to find the perfect man. Every woman’s dream is to eat anything without getting fat.

And I am living that dream… I considered myself lucky on that aspect; that’s why I feel so sorry for other ladies, starving themselves to death justo achieve their dream, limiting their body to eat and considered it as cheating if they do so. For my second entry for Being a Woman series, I want to share some tips on how to maintain a slim & healthy body, while you can eat anything, you want.
Perhaps, I got an anaconda on my stomach , but that’s not the case. I have a secret for that – DETOXIFY. Yes, you read it right; Detox is my best friend. I eat anything I want then my best friend come to the rescue to get rid all of them.

Whenever I eat a lot chicken and pork (I am having a hard time to give up these two, before I can fully embrace the lifestyle of a vegetarian) for an entire week, I devour lots of pineapple chunks or drink pineapple juice to get rid of what I’ve eaten.

According to research, pineapple is good for you. It contains bromelain good for proper digestion. It also lessens the inflammation of the muscles and tissues. Bromelain is an important substance for meat tenderizing (source), so you can digest it easily. Some are claiming meat stays at your stomach for a couple of days, while other says it takes 4- 5 hours before it’s fully digesting. Explanation can be read here. My opinion is, our body can digest what we have eaten, but if we eat meat the entire day, our digestive system will work hard just to digest it. That’s why we need to eat pineapple and other fruits that promote proper digestion.

Pineapples are rich in thiamine improves metabolism, which is important when you are on a diet or trying to shred some weights.

And here’s the best part of eating pineapples, it gets rid of the toxins inside your body. To get the maximum results, eat pineapple with an empty stomach. I detoxify myself during my day off (either Saturday or Sunday morning or when we have prayer fasting at church). At first, may you feel uncomfortable, but that’s okay; your body is adjusting to the detox process.

In addition, VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) or Olive oil can be used to detoxify, but I’ll explain why in another post ^_^.

Another thing,  you can eat Anything does not mean, you can eat junkfoods, canned goods and unhealthy foods. I still recommend fruits, vegetables and something organic.
Aside from detoxify, you also need to work out. As an all-around BPO slave, I sit most of the time. That’s why workout at least three times per week is highly recommended not just to maintain a healthy body, but also to correct my C posture .
To ladies out there, you can now eat anything you want and don’t feel so sorry after as long as you detoxify and work out religiously. If you’re having a hard time maintaining a sexy body, determination is also important here, you can do it! Let’s do it and let’s live our greatest dream!
