Rockin' my new bling

This Bling makes me feel like a King...

When my mommy and daddy walk me at night for my last pee-pee before night time they usually put me in my new bling collar…. When I rock this bad ass leash all the ladies stop and pet me… I know Im cute but this bling leash really brings out the bitches…

Lately my daddy bought me a matching leather bling leash also  from our friends at Auburn Leathers. Its hard to find these collars in NYC but with my parent’s new dog business they know a lot more people… Word at the dog park is that my parents will be giving away two of these bling collars at the next adoptapaloza…

Since my parents’ have stopped feeding me the new treats things have been moving back to normal. I wonder if any of you doggy parents have also had problems with Dogwell treats. If so let me know.

A Dog that Plays Is a Happy Dog

The last couple of weeks my daddy has played with me a lot more. He seems to be listening to me more, paying more attention to my moods, and of course playing more and more with me… He has been talking to me differently to me, feeding me differently, and even walking with me differently on the streets.. I got to say I like all the changes!

My mommy tells me its because he is reading a new book by Alexandra Horowitz called “Inside of a Dog, What Dogs See, Smell, and Know”. The book tells you human doggy parents how we dogs think, how we see the world, and how we play with others. Daddy first got the book because of my new sister that my parents keep talking about, but now he loves the book so much he wants my mommy to read it.. I hear the woman who wrote the book has a doggy in Daddy’s neighborhood, I hope to meet them both soon.

All you dog mommy’s and daddy’s out there should go out and buy the book, it will really make your dog happy to know you read it.

My mommy and daddy have been busy talking a lot about our new poop bag designs… So far they have come up with 4 designs for poopy packs. They say all you doggy owners can buy them in about a month in your local stores…

The last couple of times I went to our local doggy stores things have been different. The Furry Paws on 8th street has new people behind the counter, they don’t give me treats anymore and there are boxes and new treats there every time we go… The Pet Market on 72st near Daddy’s house also has new people and a lot of boxes everywhere anytime we go… But I still like my doggy stores, I mean that’s where my parents get my food and toys!

When you check in, waiting for those awesomely big, comfy rooms with a plush, clean, comfy carpet the staff gives out free ice cream in the lobby…What a great place, all for under $175 a night.

This City Dog Likes My New Country Dog Friend Dakota

I was raised in NYC, with the sounds of sirens and the touch of concrete always around me.  I play in dog parks and am usually on a leash running around busy people on the street…

I usually smell clean and my fur is not too raggity, you never know you might meet on the streets….

But, when I was in Missouri I met a new friend Dakota. He’s older than me,  a bit smelly, hairy, nappy, but definitely a country dog. Dakota wonders from one house to another, exploring wherever he wants to go. He never looks back to where his mommy is or does he worry about who he’s gonna run into to…

Nothing’s better than swimming…

Grandma & Grandpa’s house is sooo fun, it has a big lake and grandma slips me a lot of good treats when no one is looking.

It is hot here in Missouri, but because  dogs sweat through our paws it is important to keep them wet and cool…

Me n My room

Its always hard  to find hotels Daddy likes that allow us  dogs… We usually stay at choice hotels like the Quality Inn becuase they are usually clean, big, and are all dog friendly…

Our first night on the road we stayed at a Quality Inn in Indianapolis Indiana.  In case you don’t know the way dog friendly rooms work, here’s what I think:

1. people rooms cleanliest rooms, then comes…

2. smoking rooms, then comes…

3. pet friendly rooms then comes…

4. Smoking pet friendly rooms…

Well, we got the smoking, pet friendly room in Indy!

All I need  is my Scooby, a pillow, my bowl and my parents… but this room was stinky, dirty, and smelled like stale cigarettes… It bothered even me a little.

Mommy and Daddy slept in their clothes, but I was happy.

Stay away from room 222 at the Quality Inn in Indianapolis, IN…

I love the backseat when the window is down n the AC is on...

My mommy was born and raised in Mossouri and that’s where I hear we’re driving to, to see Grandma and Grandpa’s house. Their house is on a lake where I swim all day and dig in the mud.. but before I get there my parents rented a car to make sure I’m happy.

My parents usually bring my non-spill fly dog bowl, make sure the windows are down a little,  and of course bring my scooby and put down a blanket to keep some of the dog hair off the seat… Wish us luck!

Its Wet Out there...

Being a dog in New York City is fun but when the rain comes down its a little hard for us dogs to move around the city.  The streets are filled with umbrellas, the corners have big puddles of water, and the cars spew water on the streets…

I personally don’t like wearing a raincoat mainly because I’m a yellow lab, a dog who really likes water, also because I can hardly find a big raincoat that doesn’t make me look like a wimp.

But, for all you doggy parents out there I suggest you tell your dog walkers to keep towels by the door, preventing us dogs from tracking water throughout your apartments.
