The borders are down. No more Berlin Wall or Eastern bloc. Formal Apartheid has ended. Internet gives us the ability to communicate and network all over the world. I suppose one could say that higher levels of binocular vision means more effective communication within ourselves. This is where the eye, brain and mind of the person meet. Question from Youtube - Hi:I have just today ordered one of your books off amazon and am looking forward in a better eyesight. I was wondering if you could help me with the following. I am looking forward in improving my eyesight to hopefull one day get rid of my glasses. The question I have is, do I continoue wearing my glasses or get a second pair with a lower strength instead which I think would be a better aproach. Could you please help me out on this one. My current prescription:

The first step is to gather information. It is not as simple as doing eye exercises. There is much more to improving your
vision than what you might believe. Secondly, once you feel good about your commitment to help yourself, then find
a person who can be your coach. This is a very necessary step. You will need support during your journey. This can be
an eye doctor, vision therapist, vision educator, priest, counselor or friend.

If you wear glasses, determine if you need a weaker lens prescription. Begin one practice per day. Find the best way
to bring about a relaxed feeling into your daily life. Remember, improving vision is living the new way you see. It is
a journey that will continue. You are not fixing anything, just coming to terms with your unique way of perceiving. Enjoy!

QUESTION a. There is definitely a cure for eyesight, but why are most of the people out there denying it? b. People still argue that the shape of the eyeball cannot be changed by these "eye exercises" or "good eye habits". Why? What proof is there?

a. Your question shows the difficulty in the field. You ask if eyesight can be cured? The implication is that when the eyesight is cured, then the person would have this amazing norm called 20/20. This measurement is a figure that was chosen because of the physical capability of the human eye. No one has ever proven that this 20/20 is a perfect way to stay throughout the day. The dynamic of vision that is seen as a connection between the eye, brain and mind of the individual is changeable. Therefore, the truth might be that we are meant to have fluctuating eyesight and this is the real cure.

b. The shape of the eyeball is NOT the cause of poor eyesight. From modern research in Biology and Psychiatry, which I talk about in my books, suggest that the eyeball shape is a result of a perceptual attitude that programs the eyeball to record these distortions in the eye. What eye exercises and good visual habits do is to remind us how to look from the mind and brain with the correct perceptual attitude. Lastly, my research results showed that eyesight (perception) can improve in statistical significant amounts, in just three weeks. However, the physical eye did not change.

Beginning today, thanks to Kyle from Australia, I will be answering many questions in the weeks ahead. His 20 questions deserve deep answers.

The answers to these questions do not follow the conventional Medical and Optometric Approach to solving vision problems. As a clinical investigator with over 40 years of clinical experience, I have taken the liberty to step outside the ‘box’ of normal eye medicine. While a Professor of Optometry, I conducted clinical investigations on how and why eyesight and vision can change. Considering current events, including the health care crisis and the global financial crisis, I found Dr. Roberto Kaplan's talk from a few years ago to be very relevant. Here is a summary of his talk. I love the quote because I think it says a lot about how many world leaders are approaching solutions to our current problems -- very short sighted.

"Dr. Roberto Kaplan was invited to talk about his integrated approach to vision therapy at the Vienna International Center at the U.N. in Vienna, Austria. Along with New York, Geneva and Nairobi, Vienna is one of the four Headquarters Duty Stations of the United Nations. More than 4,000 employees from over 100 countries work for the Vienna International Center (VIC) - based organizations.

Dr. Kaplan shared his ideas of the causes and development of nearsightedness and its implication on the consciousness of the citizens of the world. "We are fast approaching a world epidemic of blindness to reality because of myopic perceptions," Kaplan asserted, quoting the series of papers titled: Seeing Beyond the Obvious, published in the Journal of College of Optometrists in Vision Development."

"It is time for conventional medicine to recognize the power of vision therapy as being a vital part of complimentary medicine," urged Dr. Kaplan. The talk focused on his two books: "The Power Behind Your Eyes" and "Conscious Seeing."

To be a conscious person, one needs a healthy visual system. Vision therapy is an established scientific discipline within Optometry that has a vital role to play in helping persons recognize when they are seeing accurately or misperceiving. Undetected vision problems, especially a lack of coordination of the two eyes, can cause persons of all ages to see inaccurately how they are behaving.

Eye of The Soul

Science explains that the process of vision begins with light coming into the eye. This is correct. However, the process doesn't stop there. How the person deals with that light coming in is dependent on their presence. One can call this the inner light. My research shows that when a person is not only partially present in the eye, they are less able to deal with the incoming light. It may even burn and hurt the eye. I wonder if this is related to why so many people these days don't like bright sunlight?

In this photo collage, I show how the light arrives at the eye to meet the presence of the human being. If this is correct, then the light is correctly transformed as it travels through the eye parts. This is vitally necessary in order for the different structures within the eye to function correctly.

Kahlu speaks: Most times when you look at a person, you are not only connecting with the eye itself. Behind the front of the eye invisible information is reaching you and your presence is activating changes in eye functioning of that person as well. Through various structures of the eyes, you have direct access to the regulatory effect of the autonomic nervous system. How you pay attention, be focused, stay present, and even feel comfortable is all controlled by the eye and nervous system interaction. This includes your heart variability and ability to handle difficult situations.

A question from a reader about Myopia

“I am 13 years old and my myopia has been getting worse very rapidly, at about -1.00 diopters every year (right now my left eye is at -4.75 and my left is at -5.00). I do a lot of close work at the computer and reading. Is there any way to slow or stop myopia? Also, should I try Lasik surgery? I heard a lot of reports about having many complications after having surgery and the eyes can still get worse after surgery.”

Your question is really great. The answer to your first question is a definite yes. There is lots you can do to help. It is one thing to have myopia, and it’s another thing to observe the rapid increase in the diopters.

Obviously in your case the excessive close work and being at the computer is aggravating the Myopia. This means that while you are at the computer you are placing your eyes brain under extra stress. Do consider taking a one minute break every 20 minutes, and simply cover your eyes with the palms of your hands. Every hour, stand up and look out the window to let your eyes flow out into the distance. This is the natural way the eyes meant to be.

Next you should consider what are the correct diopters to wear while reading or being at the computer. It is certainly not the strong glasses. You can cut back the nearsightedness diopters by between +1.00 and +1.50. A behavioural Optometrist can help you with this design. Lastly, Lasik surgery is not the answer to your challenge. The problem is that the surgery doesn’t take into account the cause of the Myopia. What the video and good luck.

What Your Eye Doctor Forgot to Mention! - Part 2.

Like in the flat/round earth metaphor, it is going to take a change in perception to realize the new paradigm of an integrated model of vision that successfully deals with prevention. These are some beginning steps to take:

i) Whatever is happening in the eye is a message of something more complex than just a long eye or you are getting old.

ii) The biology of the body/eye never lies. Each biological change carries a certain truth. This coded message must be deciphered. The deeper meaning reveals a different effective solution that is truly preventive.

iii) Even though the eye may not function at an optimal level there is no real problem. What is measured in the eye is a code, called the EyeCode®, for changing a perceptual reality so the person may succesfuly evolve.

iv) The Eyecode® can be decoded. Therafter, encoding the new perception helps the person move forward to seeing in a deeper way.

v) Information from the eye reveals the exact steps for a journey of being healthy during the person’s intended life cycle.

vi) The current model of treatment of eyes is too repair oriented. What is missing is the guidance along the journey. We also need to recognise that each stage of the journey, called life, different biological truths reveal them self through the eye. It appears that the doctors have become overly diagnostic in their approach, and they keep finding new problems, and continue providing newer ‘flat Earth’ treatments.

vii) There is nothing to repair in the eye. It is not necessary to focus our work on reducing diopters. The condition of the eye is calling our attention to a particular survival need that is rooted in the person’s consciousness. The self-healing in the eye begins with a change in perception that is directed from the inside.

The concept of prevention of eye problems is promoted as early recognition of eye disease and binocular problems in most western conventional vision care. What is often forgotten is the role of the patient in prevention. By deeper examining the role of the person and their life deeply impacts our current level of understanding of how vision problems actually develop, what can be added to the conventional way problems are treated, and to prevent further deterioration.

The statistics of significant increases of eye problems speak very loudly to the fact that modern medicine is not reaching the deepest level of finding out what exactly is the cause of people becoming less and less able to keep clear eyesight. More children, and often much younger, are being diagnosed with nearsightedness. Office workers and adults are suffering eyestrain from excessive computer use. The elderly are living longer and dealing with more eye diseases than before. Yet, the true cause of these afflictions is not adequately explained or dealt with. Why?

The difficulty lies in the application of the knowledge derived from science. Modern scientific principles are reductionistic and lack a holistic perspective. An analogy is that western vision care lives in a perceptual reality believing that the earth is flat. Yet, evidence exists that says the earth is actually round. What does it mean to improve vision?

Kahlu speaks: On the obvious level, to improve vision means to see more clearly. Well that is only part of the story.
The time has come on your Earth to deal with more complexity. What is obvious is only a fraction of what is true.

i) Understanding the reason behind the eye difficulty
ii) recognizing that what is happening in the eye is a code for living correctly
iii) to improve vision is to increase function, a fact already proven by Behavioural Optometry
iv) improved vision is to see more deeply into the very existence of life. This requires two well coordinated eyes

Once Upon a time there were no glasses or eye surgery....just your perceptions!

Kahlu speaks: It is amazing how beliefs are perpetrated on your Earth. Once upon a time, there were no glasses, no eye surgery, and the human race was not indoctrinated into the belief that eyes get weak or fail the person.

In life, the function of the eyes change in a specific way to suit the evolving life cycles. When we are young the focusing is fast and efficient, for a reason. There is lots of quick learning needed to manage surviving on the planet.

With age, the body functioning and eye focus is slower. Why? To accommodate the need for the slowness for appreciated what you see and offering gratitude.

In other words, what you humans need to see and feel deeply is the connection between your own nature and that of your planet Earth. You have been given many clues to this nature. One of the most powerful and visible codes of nature is in the unique aspects of your eye, the iris. Spend time looking at the patterns markings and discern similar shapes and colours when you next go for a walk in nature.

If necessary, look through the eye of a camera at the flowers, plants, animals, and even stones. You will discover your own nature. For more of this obvious reality, one you may have not fully experienced, watch this video.

The 'Midas' Touch

In the medical realm of vision, the science of glasses have taken over the natural artistic and intuitive way of perceiving. Young people are developing nearsighted ways of looking at the world at galloping rates that are not being controlled by science. What is needed is an appreciation of the biological truth of the eye. The retina is for the artistic mode of seeing, while the macula and fovea is for looking science. We need both, not one at the expense of the other. Kahlu speaks: It is a matter of where you are looking. You humans were given different ways to use perception. You can think and look. There is also see and feel. Finally, if you are emotionally dominant, then your perception will be deep into the invisible past thoughts and feelings.
Winter is the time for darkness. Yet if you see correctly, there is still light. Your season of Christmas is such light. So is Hannukah. Enjoy the darkness, soon you will complain there is too much light.

What you see is only the surface!

Kahlu Speaks: Your whole world is only seeing on the physical plane, that is matter that has been materialised. In the very same moment there is invisible non-materialised information that can be appreciated through the code of the obvious. In this video art piece,
