Nigeria defender Tyronne Ebuehi is happy to have featured in his first World Cup game for the country and has declared that the Super Eagles are ready to conquer Argentina in their last group game at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, Completesportsnigeria. com reports.

Ebuehi came in as a second half substitute for Bryan Idowu in Nigeria’s 2-0 win against Iceland at the Volgograd Arena on Friday.

It was also his first competitive appearance for the Super Eagles with his previous seven outings coming in friendly games.

The attention of the team has now shifted towards Tuesday’s crucial clash against two-time world champions Argentina.

A win against La Albiceleste will send the Super Eagles into the second round while a draw could be enough depending on the outcome of the game between Croatia and Iceland.

And the Benfica of Portugal new boy, who made his debut in Super Eagles 3-0 friendly win against Togo in June 2017, says they will give their all in the encounter.

”I’m so happy to have made my World Cup debut. We have put the last result past us and we are working hard for the next game. It’s the game of our lives,” reads a tweet on the Super Eagles official Twitter handle.

Oliver, who has the mental age of a five-year-old, has severe epilepsy, has severe autism, ADHD and a condition whereby his skin grows too thickly.
And because the Abbot's Lea pupil's condition is "medication resistant", doctors have to change it every few weeks to stave off any dips in his overall health.

Speaking for the first time about Oliver's fight fore survival, mum Jen, 48, told the ECHO: "Doctors can't introduce new medication if he is taking cannabis oil.
"So, we've had to stop it, three weeks ago.
"Sure enough, the number of his seizures has started to rise again.
"The government needs to legalise cannabis oil and let doctors do their job."
A full-time carer for her child, Jen added: "They say they don't know how cannabis oil will interact with the new medication.

"Oliver's condition is inoperable, he will never be seizure free, but it's about giving him the best quality of life.
"I'm going to contact my local MP next week.
"It's just because it's cannabis....call it something else. It's just a name. It won't make a person high.
"I don't know why, but cannabis oil works.
"It would work much better if the NHS was allowed to monitor its use.
"I'm not against Alder Hey at all, they've saved Oliver's life on a few occasions, and I'm eternally grateful, but doctors should be left to do their job."

The calls for cannabis oil come after the Home Office intervened to give a 20-day licence to 12-year-old Billy Caldwell, from Northern Ireland, to use the drug to treat his epilepsy.
Home Secretary Sajid Javid announced a review of the medicinal use of cannabis which could lead to patients in the UK being prescribed drugs derived from the banned plant.
A second child, Alfie Dingley, aged six, was granted a special licence approved for her son to soothe his crippling epilepsy after his mum Hannah Deacon appealed directly to Theresa May.
Jen said: "The use of cannabis oil is under review, but how long will that take?
"It should be available for all - how can you give out two licences, but not for anyone else?

A petition supporting the legalisation of the drug for patients like Oliver is set to go viral, and now stands at 233,000 signatures.
Two days after they stopped treating him with cannabis oil the 11-year-old had one of his worse ever seizures, leaving him with some of his teeth knocked out.

Lock Individual Android Apps Using Your Face

Locking individual apps on your Android device gives you an added layer of security by safeguarding app data from unwanted attention. I personally prefer using an app locker over a standard lock screen because my kids play with my phone, and they've completely disabled it after inputting the wrong PIN. So app lockers give me the right balance between giving my children access to my device, and the security of locking down my data from would-be intruders.
We've covered some great app lockers in the past, but those either used a password, PIN, or fingerprint. However, an interesting app called IObit Applock now uses facial recognition as one of its security measures, which makes unlocking your apps as easy as looking at your phone. The app is free, simple to use, and offers a lot of great features, so I'll show you how to set it up below.

Install IObit Applock

To get this one going, head over to the Google Play Store and download IObit Applock - Face Lock.

Create a Password & Grant Permissions

Once you've downloaded and opened the app, you'll be asked to set an initial password to get the ball rolling. After you've done that, input the email you prefer as a security backup, then tap "Bind." Android 5.0 Lollipop and above requires you to grant IObit Applock permission to access data, so make sure the box next to Allow usage tracking is ticked when the app automatically asks for permission.

(1) Set a pattern lock (can be changed later if you like). (2) Input your retrieval email.

Enable Device Administrator Access

Now that you've got initial setup out of the way, you should take this time to enable IObit Applock as a device administrator. This will ensure that someone else can't just uninstall IObit Applock to get around its app-locking features.

To do that, head to the app's side navigation menu and select "Security Center." Tap on "Avoid Being Uninstalled," and the app will prompt you to enable device administrator access. Select "Activate" on this message, and the app will now need to be disabled by the owner to be uninstalled.

(1) Tap "Security Center". (2) Select "Avoid Being Uninstalled". (3) Tap "Activate" to give the app admin permission.

Lock Individual Apps & Enable Face Scanning

Go back to the main screen and select which apps you want to lock by tapping them in the list. Once you've done that, swipe down to refresh the list. From here, you'll see three icons next to each locked app—to enable face unlocking for any app, simply tap the first of the three icons, then follow the prompts to let IObit Applock scan your face. When you're done there, you can go back and enable the face-locking feature for other apps by tapping the first of the three icons again.

Unlock Apps Using Your Face

From now on, whenever you open one of your locked apps, you'll be greeted by the face scanner. To unlock the app, all you have to do is line your face up with the overlay on the screen, then wait a second or two. However, if anybody else tries to open the app IObit will see that it's not you, then default to the password or PIN lock screen instead. After three failed attempts, you'll even get an email with a picture of the person who attempted to open one of your locked apps!

Use Your Android Phone as a Wireless Flash Drive for Windows or Mac

Copying files from a computer to your Android device has always been pretty straightforward—just connect the two devices with a USB cable, open your desktop file explorer, then move the files over. But what if you didn't need any wires at all?
A new app from developer AppCube takes Android file sharing to the next level by mounting your device as a network share folder in one simple tap. It operates over Wi-Fi, so there's no wires involved—but at the same time, it shows up in Windows Explorer and Mac's Finder app, which means you can still drag and drop.

Steps

Install Pocketshare

To get started with easy wireless file sharing, just install the app Pocketshare: File Transfer NAS on your Android.

Install Pocketshare for free from the Google Play Store

From here, Mac users can skip ahead to Step 3, but Windows users will have to do a tiny bit of initial setup first.

Configure Your PC (Windows Only)

If you're using a Windows PC, you'll just have to run a BAT file to set things up. So open the Pocketshare app on your Android device, then head to the settings menu. From here, tap "Configure Windows," then jot down the URL in parenthesis on the following screen and press "Save."

Next, open your favorite web browser on Windows, then head to the URL you copied from the Android app. From here, right-click the pocketshare_windows.bat entry, then choose "Save link as."

Next, select "All Files" from the drop-down menu at the bottom of this screen, then name the file "Pocketshare.bat" and click "Save."

When you're done there, double-click the Pocketshare.bat file to run it, at which point you may see a security prompt from Windows. If you get this message, click the "More info" button.

From here, click "Run anyway" to execute the BAT file, then you'll see a window flash on the screen and disappear. Once that happens, reboot your computer to save the changes, then you'll be all set for wireless file sharing.

Wirelessly Transfer Files

The next time you want to transfer a file from your computer to your phone, just make sure both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, then open the Pocketshare app on Android, and the server will start automatically. (Note that you will have to allow Pocketshare access to photos, media, and files on your device.)
From here, select your computer's name under Devices in Finder's sidebar if you're using an Apple machine, or if you're using a PC, head to "My Computer" in Windows Explorer. At this point, you should see a folder or network drive labeled "Pocketshare," so double-click this to open it. (Note that on a Mac, depending on your Finder preferences, you may see Pocketshare right in the Finder's sidebar.)

From here, you can simply drag and drop any file into this network folder, and it will transfer over to your phone automatically.

Once you've copied a file, just open the Pocketshare app on your phone or tablet, then head to the Files tab, and hit the refresh button. At this point, you'll see the file that you transferred—just tap it to open with any compatible app, or long-press to save it to a folder on your SD card or internal storage.

You can also copy images located in your Pocketshare drive on your phone over to your computer this way. In this way, it truly is turning your Android into a portable USB-less flash drive.

Security & Ejecting the Drive

To prevent any other computers on your network from accessing the files in your Pocketshare drive, you can (and probably should) enable "User authentication" in the settings, then choose a username and password that you'll enter on your computer when trying to access the files on your Android.
Also, if you were clicking away at "eject" on your computer to make the Pocketshare drive go away, it might not do anything. To essentially "eject" the drive, you'll have to hit "Stop Sharing" from the Pocketshare app itself.

Car Bomb in Southeast Turkey Kills 18, Wounds 27

ISTANBUL (AP) — Kurdish militants detonated a car bomb Sunday outside a military checkpoint in southeast Turkey, killing ten soldiers and eight civilians, the prime minister said. Turkey immediately launched a military operation against the rebels in response.

Prime Minister Binali Yildirim gave the death toll during a press conference in Istanbul and condemned the attack.

“For the stability of our country, we will continue doing everything we can to save our homeland and our nation from the forces of terrorism,” he said.

Cuneyit Orhan Toprak, governor of Hakkari province where the attack took place, told that private news channel NTV that 27 others wounded in the attack were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. Eleven of them were soldiers, the Turkish military said.

Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency, citing a statement by the Turkish Armed Forces, said the attack occurred at 9:45 a.m. outside a Gendarmerie checkpoint on the Semdinli-Yuksekova highway and was the work of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK. The checkpoint is 20 kilometers (12 miles) from the town of Semdinli.

Toprak said the attackers first opened fire on the soldiers at the checkpoint to distract them before driving up a minivan containing about 5 tons of explosives and detonating it. The explosion produced a crater 15 meters (50 feet) wide and 7 meters (23 feet) deep. An infantry station located behind the checkpoint also suffered heavy damage.

Turkish authorities imposed a temporary blackout on coverage of the attack, citing public order and national security reasons.
Energy Minister Berat Albayrak condemned the attack during a speech in Istanbul.
“I would like to remind all friendly countries that there is great need to take a common stance and display solidarity against terrorism,” he said.
Turkey has been rocked by a wave of bomb attacks since last summer that have killed hundreds of people and been blamed on either the PKK or the Islamic State group.
Fighting between the PKK and the state security forces resumed last year after the collapse of a fragile 2 ½-year cease-fire. Since then, more than 600 Turkish security personnel and thousands of PKK militants have been killed in clashes, according to the Anadolu Agency.
Rights groups say hundreds of civilians have also been killed in the fighting.

Judges’ Arrest: Judiciary Workers Union Summons Emergency Meeting

As condemnation continues to trail the arrest of judges and the invasion of senior judges’ houses, the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has summoned an emergency meeting slated for Tuesday in order to appraise the situation and forge a common front.

The union also declared the action of the Department of State Security (DSS) as unacceptable, stating that even though the body abhors corruption, the nocturnal method and the Gestapo style the security agency adopted was unbecoming in a democratic society and smacks of naked abuse of the rule of the law.

JUSUN described the brutal arrest of the judges, accused of corruption by the DSS, as uncivilised, and called for their unconditional release.

The union said the emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting slated for Tuesday 11, October 2016 will deliberate with a view to taking the next line of action if nothing is done to restore the sanctity of the judiciary as an arm of government.

I wasn’t in my right senses during operation – Suspected burglar tells court

A Lagos Magistrate’s Court on Monday arraigned a 22-year-old man, Jamiu Labara, over alleged burglary and assault.

The Police prosecutor, Sergeant Joseph Ajebe, told the court that Labara had attacked a shop in the Oniwaya area of Agege about 5am on March 18.

Ajebe said the accused inflicted injuries on the head of a resident identified as Olatunmise Odubite, who confronted him during the operation, adding that Labara and his accomplices, who are at large, fled with 10 packs of scrabble game, 21 toys, 23 photo frames, 18 wall clocks, snacks, among other items which valued at about N200, 000.

“The charges preferred against the defendant are punishable under sections 171, 285 and 307 (1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, Nigeria, 2011,” the prosecutor added.

The charges read, “That you, Jamiu Labara, and others at large, on March 18, 2016 at about 5am on Oniwaya Road, Dopemu, Agege, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did steal 10 packs of scramble game worth N35,000, 21 toys valued at N28,700, 23 photo frames valued at N73,300, 11 decorative flowers worth N28,600, 18 wall clocks worth N41,800 and snacks valued at N18,000 – all property of Mrs. Afusat Taiwo.

“That you, Jamiu Labara, did assault one Olatunmise Odubote by using a sharp object to inflict injuries on his head, which caused him bodily harm, thereby committing an offence punishable under Section 171 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, Nigeria, 2011.”

The accused arraigned on four counts of burglary and assault, admitted to the first three counts but pleaded not guilty to the fourth count, which bordered on assault.

He confessed before the presiding Magistrate, Mr. Oyetade Komolafe, saying he was not in his right senses when he burgled the shop.

He told the court that all the items had been recovered from him, adding that he was not in a good state of mind before he took to burglary.

Labara said, “It is true I stole the items from the shop but I did not take them away. I was arrested at the scene of the crime. I am sorry.

“I was not in my senses. I did not burgle the shop intentionally. I was holding an object but I didn’t injure anybody.”

Komolafe adjourned the case till July 8, for further hearing.

“I plot for revenge”
“What I don’t understand is why you can’t tell your group of thugs to find Liza”
“Liza is alright where she is”
“And where is she?”

“Why are you doing this?,can’t you just move on with your life,Tiara?”

“Tell me where Liza is”
“Liza could one day be used”
“Then tell me where she is”
“Liza is fine and she’s out of the street”
“She lived in the street?”
“Yes and she just got out two weeks ago”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Because you thought more of your shopping than of Liza”
“How can you say that,Tiara?,that’s an unfair thing to say. You…”,she said pointing at Tiara “…you knew where she was along and didn’t bother to bring her back”
“I had a plan”
“All you think about is revenge and nothing else!”,Fiona shouted
“I think you should have a rethink because the first thing I did after we received the money from the fixed deposit was locating Liza and you,the first and only thing you do is shop”,Tiara replied in that cold voice
“I shop because I feel depressed”
“You shouldn’t be be late on your fist of work and I want a full report of your day’s work at the end of the day and…”
“What!?,you can’t be serious!”
“I am and never interrupt me again. Now leave my presence”
As Fiona hit the road, she realized how much she missed Joshua. Joshua knew what would make her smile in times like this. She was sure that her day had been made in hell and Tiara is the devil herself. Joshua disrupted her thoughts again but Joshua had not for once in the past four years called after getting tons if her missed calls and email messages. She’d never knew Joshua would be like that,he had abandoned her when she needed him the most. He had been her comfort, her confidant but still, she would give anything and everything to see his face today.
As Fiona got to the office and stepped out from the car,she knew something has changed. If course, not that she could tell but she just had a feeling.
When she got to the reception, she the guy in the grey jacket at the receptionist desk,though his back was at her but she knew she had seen that figure before, she thought as she increased her pace,just then,the receptionist whispered something to him and he turned and Fiona stopped in her tracks,shock written all over her face.
As Joshua stepped into the reception room,he won’t deny he was having some sort of odd feeling. All he needed to do was check with the sales department, give the delivery man the company’s address, check with the manager and deliver his father’s useless message or threat rather, go back to his father and give him Elliott’s reply and after that,he would take the rest of the day off.
When he reached the receptionist desk,he decided to have a change of heart-maybe he should see the manager first
“Hi”,he greeted
“Good morning, Sir. What can I do for you?”
“Yes,Good morning. I’d like to speak with your manager”
“The manager’s not yet in. Would you like to drop a message?”
He thought for a while, he couldn’t drop the message with the receptionist
“Sir?”,the receptionist brought him back to attention
“Umm..no. Actually, my supplies were due like two weeks ago and I’d like to know what’s wrong”
“Are your payments complete?”
“What?,Yeah”
“What’s the name of your establishment and your name, I will make an entry and see what’s keeping them”
“PJ Group of Companies and I’m Joshua Green”
She recognized the name immediately. She cleared her throat and used the tone of a servant devoted to her master.
“Umm,Mr Green,We’re sorry. You’ll get your products within five hours, Sir. I promise”
“Can you make it two hours?”
“Yes Sir,sure we can”
“Good. Now,about your manager”
“What about the manager, Sir?”
“I’d like to see him”
“Umm it’s a she now”,she bent down and whispered to him “And she right behind you”
He turned,seeing that face,his body turned first hot,then cold, then hot again.
They both stood there unable to move.
Seeing her had brought back many memories. He stared at her as she stared back at him without battling an eyelid.
He knew if he didn’t make a move, she would just stand there, so he covered the space that separated them.
“Umm..Hi. This is you,I mean really you”,Joshua said
“I umm..I think so”,she stammered
“Fiona,this is you. What happened?”.
Fiona looked around and saw people already gathering, she cleared her throat
“I think we should meet in my office”
“Yeah,okay”,he said following her
After he entered her office and closed the door behind him,they just stood and stared at each other
“So what can I do for you?”,Fiona asked breaking the silence
“Fifi….”
“Stop”,she interrupted as she held up her hand. She wouldn’t allow him call her by that name with that voice of his that makes her knees weak
“Fiona please…”
“What do you want?”,she interrupted
“Seriously!?”,he shouted
“What do you want from me?”,she threw back
“How about an explanation?”
“What explanation….”,she said as she was moving closer to him where she stopped only an inch away for him and slapped him. She continued “How about you explain to me why you didn’t pick my calls or even reply my messages!”
“Oh my God,Fiona, I lost my phone for Christ’s sake!”
“Now that’s just a blatant lie”
“Except for the fact that I’m not lying, Fifi”
“Leave my office”
“What?”
“I said leave my office”
“Fifi…..”
“Just go”,she looked at him pleadingly
“I’ll go,Fiona, but I’ll be back. I’ll come back for you,Fiona. You’re not running away from me again, Fifi”,he said as he opened the door and left.

About two doors down, a lone figure stood with a nameless lab coat stood watching as Joshua and Fiona talked and watched as Joshua left. He remembered how he bumped into Fiona but hadn’t recognized him because of the disguise he wore but then he had noticed a glint of suspicion in her eyes
Her remembered all the plans that he had made. He had walked into hospital as a visitor wanting to see a relative. At first, when he entered GHH and saw too many doctors with different colours of uniforms, some of them running.
He remembered the plan for the job and it seemed simple. Get to the hospital, survey the place, keep your head low,get to the dressing room and put on a lab coat on,get to the drug room and steal the drug that needed to be stolen, do what needs to be done and get the hell out of there. It had seemed so simple then but he had had problems with picking out a colour from the variety of uniforms,he was confused so he settled with pink.

He watched as Fiona stood against the wall,he looked backwards and saw men with black uniform–of course it wasn’t a uniform of the hospital but of the police. He knew he had to make his move,he didn’t expect to see the police, he had to act quick and fast and he had to move in now.

He moved towards the nurses’ station and fortunately, there was nobody present, so he pick up a chart,checked his time and knew he had wasted five minutes, so he began taking quick strides to Paul’s room. When he got to the door,Paul was was clearing his throat,ready to make a statement. He took a deep breath,balanced the medicated glasses he wore and went in
“Good day gentleman, I am Dr Obika,your new doctor”,he said
“Where is Dr Amadi?”,Paul asked
“Dr Amadi has been assigned to another case”,he turned to the policemen “If you’ll excuse me officers, I’ll have to give my patient his dose”
“We’ll shall be back you then continue with your statement,Sir”,one of them and they left.
He brought out an injection that has ugly looking red liquid inside it
“You don’t look like a doctor”,Paul said
He pierced the syringe of the injection into Paul’s arm and said “No I don’t because I’m not”,but it was too late because all the dose were inside his body and he continued “And Tiara says hi”

“Joshua….”,Dr Amadi called “I’m sorry,we did all we could”
“But he was stable. How could this happen?”
“Joshua, your dad made a mistake of refusing treatment before talking to the police”
“So you’re saying it’s normal”
“Yes”
“But what’s the cause? why can’t he talk? why can’t he do anything?”
“His brain is damaged, Joshua, his brain can’t send signal to parts of the body”
“Can you treat him?”
“I’m sorry but no one can”
“Doc,could it be possible for a doctor to wear a non imprinted lab coat?”,Fiona spoke for the first time
“Yes,of course it is”
“Fifi,what’s the problem?, Joshua asked
“I think I saw someone with a non imprinted lab coat and looking suspicious”
“What do you mean?”
“Joshua, the guy was nervous”
“What was the colour of the uniform?”,Dr Amadi asked
“Pink”
“That explains it. He’s an intern,most interns are nervous because of the pressure”

“You’ll have to excuse me”,Dr Amadi said and left
Joshua looked at Fiona and knew she wasn’t convinced
“My love,what is it?”
“I don’t know, Joshua, but something happened to your dad and I think the brain damage was induced”
“And you want me to bring the police in on this”
“I think they should start an investigation”

When Tiara arrived at GHH,she saw why the plan was carried out easily without anyone noticing Joseph.
Paul would have been dead but thanks to Pedro he would live to suffer. She was sure he won’t be able to talk,write,he wouldn’t be able to do anything.
She thought of how his face would look like when he sees her and she smiled

He was The Greatest.
Muhammad Ali died Friday at age 74. He was hospitalized in the Phoenix area with respiratory problems earlier this week, and his children had flown in from around the country. A family spokesman said Saturday Ali died of septic shock "due to unspecified natural causes."
His funeral is scheduled for Friday afternoon at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The city held a memorial service Saturday that included a ceremonial lowering of the flags to half-staff under orders of the mayor.

#singing# today nah today u no go escape i go put u 4 corner am ready for u, that eldee’s song didnt stop playing in my head from the moment i set my eyes on her… She wore a black skirt wit a blue top, we eat together and then started gisting i told her about movies and i asked her what are u doin now? she said nothing i asked her over to my place that i had a generator and enough fuel lets go and watch a movie and she agreed…………………………….. She was excited entering my crib it was well pimped a home teatre, a fridge, micro wave and a big t.v and foam, she don belived me thats what i said to myself as i sloted in a movie for her, she lied on the bed while i got her a drink i usually have a bottle of alcohol in my house and that was her favourite………… We lied down together watchin the movie and drinking and while we talked about s£x and relationship, when the usual 926 demons took charge over me i started touchin her and i quickly found my hand in her panties fingerin her thats when she turned and kissed me and we both got Unclad i dont know if it was the alcohol buh we were both in fast forward mood….. It was saturday i was bored after doing my laundry i had no way to go, suddenly i rememberd i was invited my a friend for the launching of a magazine in school, so i tought that would be fun i called him on phone and asked he said he was at the venue and that i should come, i quickly got dressed and went i met my guy talking to a girl she was a big chic buh not too polished in her final yeah, her name was chidinma, we both way introduced to each other and i started my normal crackin of jokes she laughed and loved my company at the end of the show we exchanged numbers…………….. Gosh! Am late for rehasals, we had rehasals for our unity dance that day i quicky ran to the vanue i met all the contestants and our dance instructor she was cute buh unfortunatly for me i was a poor dancer sorry cheorographer i hope i got the spelling rite……. The steps were easy buh i was forming mistakes so the other contestants wouldnt see me as a treate until the day of the contest………… My plan was working well plus i was geting xtra atension from our instructor,. After rehasals i didnt waste time in colecting her number……………….. I called her later that night and asked her to take me to her church the next day which she gladly did…….her name is maggi, she has big features and is in same department with me buh year3.. She is average height buh so dam! Beautiful and i felt bein friends or havin an afair with her would boost my reputation as a play boy well so i taught.

How to personalize Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile

With the success of the Windows Insider program, Microsoft now lets anyone give them formal feedback through the Windows Feedback app. In our new series we’re breaking down some of the most intriguing feedback and suggestions. We’ll do our best to dive into the lists of feedback rather than just have “dark theme everywhere.” This week we look at personalization and ease of access.

Note that the links to feedback items work by opening the Feedback Hub in Windows 10.

Being able to customize what you see and interact with on your PC makes a big difference. While these may not bring overhauling changes, a steady increase of little nice touches makes an operating system feel significantly more polished. Here’s some nice suggestions for Windows 10 on the PC. All the links to feedback can only be opened if you’re using Edge. You’ll be prompted to switch apps and it will jump directly the specified feedback.

Transparency

Windows users have clamored for months for more transparency options. Whether it be requests for aero to return throughout the OS, or just more customization it’s something Microsoft should continue to take note of. A great suggestion is “add a slider to let us control [the] transparency of the Start Menu and have the choice to add transparency to our tiles and Windows.”

I’m under the opinion of “the more options the better.” Some people want to be able to fully customize how their PC looks. I say, give them the option and if people don’t like it they don’t have to use the feature.

Bring back the brightness slider

The heading explains this piece of feedback. Back in Windows 8.1 you could easily change the brightness of your device with a slide bar. That was removed in Windows 10 and replaced with clicking percentages in a box. While some things, such as the “0%” brightness option are nice, they don’t replace the exactness of a slider.

While many options and layout designs carry over, there are some elements that need to be mobile specific. Some features, such as music controls on the lock screen are already on the way and Gabe Aul teased us about bringing back double tap to wake. Here are some other nice bits of feedback for Windows 10 Mobile.

More ways to unlock your phone

The feedback for this only says “pattern lock” but I’ll take some liberty here and say they’re talking about being able to unlock your phone by sliding your finger in a pattern rather than pressing numbers. This is available on Android and would be a nice addition to unlocking methods for W10M.

Another suggestion is a picture password which is available on Windows 10 for PCs and could be a nice way to unlock your phone.

Landscape mode

In reality, this is pretty complicated and falls under more than just personalization but it is worth mentioning. It’s been teased before but apparently was too difficult to implement or didn’t have a demand. A landscaped Start Screen on phones would involve moving multiple UI elements and could be complicated if some apps don’t support a landscape mode. Still, it would allow users to fully utilize their large screens and is a good suggestion.

The hope for this being added is that it has been teased before and that since Windows 10 Microsoft knows how to make a Start Screen that is wider than a phone in portrait mode.

Self-Driving Taxis May Hit the Road Within a Year

The world could get a glimpse of a futuristic transportation system in which people get around in self-driving electric taxis as soon as next year.
General Motors Co. and Lyft Inc. will start testing self-driving taxis with real customers within a year in a pilot program that could include electric vehicles, a Lyft executive told The Wall Street Journal.
Those looking to cut carbon emissions from transportation have called the combination a “best case scenario” that could reduce pollution per mile by as much as 94 percent by 2030, according to a Nature Climate Change paper last year (ClimateWire, July 7, 2015).
“It’s much faster than I had expected,” said Jeffery Greenblatt, an energy researcher at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and an author of that paper, about the testing timeline proposed by Lyft. “I had said 2030, and here we are already with companies jumping in to be first ones.
“It shows that there is a strong business case,” he added. “I hope that pans out in testing and that they are as useful and low carbon as we estimated that they are.”
The pilot would represent a milestone in the partnership between General Motors and Lyft, which began in January with a $500 million investment by the automaker.
In March, the two companies launched a program in Chicago to let Lyft drivers lease General Motors cars, starting with Chevrolet Equinox crossovers. The program is set to expand soon to other cities and models. General Motors will release the Chevrolet Bolt, an electric car with a 200-mile range, later this year and aims to make Lyft drivers major customers.
Meanwhile, the automaker’s development of driverless technology sped up last month with an announcement it would try to purchase a San Francisco startup for $1 billion. Cruise Automation Inc. specializes in adding autonomous driving software to existing vehicles.
The driverless electric taxi pilot would occur in a yet-to-be-disclosed city. Lyft already has a prototype smartphone application that would let customers choose whether they wanted to be picked up by an autonomous car, according to The Wall Street Journal.
A General Motors spokesperson would not divulge additional details but wrote in an email that “GM continues to make progress on our previously announced plans related to an integrated on-demand autonomous network with Lyft. Similarly, we have said the Chevrolet Bolt EV is the ideal platform for ride sharing solutions. We believe electrification blends perfectly with autonomy when it comes to technology integration.”
Lyft did not respond to a request for comment.

Clean? Depends on where the plug is

The project comes amid a race to develop driverless cars that pits legacy automakers in Detroit against technology upstarts in Silicon Valley.
Uber Technologies Inc., larger than Lyft, has its own self-driving research center in Pittsburgh. Alphabet Inc.’s Google has already tested self-driving cars on public roads in California. This week, it struck a deal for self-driving minivan prototypes with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Mercedes-Benz, Audi AG, Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. and others are all developing autonomous driving technology. Tesla Motors Inc.’s electric cars have autonomous driving features like self-parking. Small electric driverless buses have started testing on European roads.
Last week, Google, Ford Motor Co., Uber, Volvo Cars Corp. and Lyft formed a group to push for federal action to speed up driverless cars called the Self-Driving Coalition for Safer Streets. The Obama administration has asked Congress for funding for research into driverless cars, and appropriators have responded favorably.
Researchers remain unclear about the technology’s effect on carbon emissions from the transportation sector. More efficient driving and reduced congestion from fewer traffic accidents could cut fuel use (ClimateWire, Jan. 19), but the convenience could invite more and longer trips, erasing those savings (ClimateWire, Feb. 26). The Department of Energy expects driverless cars to do anything from reducing emissions 90 percent to increasing them 200 percent.
Real-world tests like the one by Lyft and General Motors could bring some clarity, said Costa Samaras, an assistant professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. General Motors funds research into driverless technology at the university.
“One of the big real opportunities from companies’ perspective is they can measure user experience. They can measure what they’re willing to pay or where people are frustrated with the technology,” Samaras said. “That’s exciting from an engineering and design perspective.”
The added use of electric vehicles would slash fuel use to zero, but the overall emissions depend on the region. A car that plugs into a clean grid in New York would pollute significantly less than one that plugs into a coal-powered grid in the Midwest.
“That’s one of the reasons the electricity system needs to get decarbonized, is to hedge against a future where you have lots and lots of vehicle miles traveled,” Samaras said.

Delta: 16 suspected oil pipeline vandals arrested by Military

To check incessant attacks on the country’s oil pipeline, the Joint Military Force (JMF) in the Niger Delta said it had arrested 16 suspects who allegedly vandalised pipelines and engaged in illegal bunkering in Delta.

Col. Isa Ado, spokesman of Operation Pulo Shield, the task force, made this knownat a news conference at the 222 Battalion Headquarters in Ughelli in Delta on Friday.

Ado said that the suspects were nabbed in two separate operations.

According to him, in one of the operations led by Lt-Col. Mathew Oyekola, Commanding Officer, 222 Battalion, the force recovered 124 pieces of oil pipes valued at over N18 million at Otokutu village in Ughelli.

He said that the pipes, meant for a project at Aburah, were stolen from the oil fields operated by Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC), adding that four suspects, including an NPDC staff member, were arrested.

Other items recovered included a Toyota Sports Utility Van (SUV) kept at the 222 battalion headquarters.
Ado said that in the second operation “our troops from the Maritime Component, NNS DELTA, found and destroyed many illegal oil bunkering sites between April 22 and 24.

“The sites were located around Tagola community, near Egwa 1 in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta.

“Items recovered include six 10,000 litres capacity storage tanks, 30 drums and plastic tanks containing substances suspected to be stolen crude.

“Also, 12 suspects were arrested along SPDC-Forcados Line with two large boats carrying 39 plastic tanks filled with illegally refined diesel and 13 pumping machines.

“The items and suspects are in custody of NNS DELTA for preliminary investigations,” he said.

The spokesman reiterated that the JMF, under the command of Maj.-Gen. Alani Okunlola would continue to carry out its operations professionally as enshrined in its mandate.

He urged community leaders to discourage their youths from vandalism, “which sabotages the economy and assist the force with credible information that will lead to arrest of culprits’’

ELECTIONS 2016: Red is the colour for Cannock Chase Council and Rugeley

LABOUR has retained overall control of Cannock Chase Council following yesterday's election despite losing a seat.
UKIP also lost a seat, when Ann Bernard came second to Conservative candidate Dan Snape in Hawks Green.
In Hednesford South the Green Party's Paul Woodhead – also a candidate in yesterday's Staffordshire Police and Crime Commissioner elections – was elected after winning 618 votes. He took the seat from Labour's Brian Gamble, who polled 298 votes and came third. In second place was Conservative Olivia Lyons with 322 votes.
In Brereton and Ravenhill Councillor Alan Dudson held onto his seat by just three votes. The Labour candidate netted 478, while Liberal Democrat Paul Fisher came a close second with 475. Fellow Labour councillor Carl Bennett won back his seat too in Western Springs with 503 votes.

Etching Hill and the Heath's Conservative candidate Justin Johnson also remained on the council, with 500 votes – 49 more than UKIP's Danny Davies, who was second with 451.
Hagley remains in Labour hands, but Andy Lovell did not stand for re-election. His seat went to colleague Chris Martin, who gained 409 votes.
Cannock Chase Council's elections are held "in thirds". This means a third of the council seats are contested each year, and elections take place three years out of every four.
Stafford Borough Council and Staffordshire County Council elections are held once every four years.

WHY DO WOMEN CHANGE AFTER MARRIAGE?

A very long time ago, women married at the age of 15 and 16, and anyone above 20 years of age was seen as already too old to bear children and "on the shelf". These same women, if unlucky in their marriages, either stood on the sidelines and bore the pains of a bad marriage or they opted out of the marriage by committing suicide at the risk of been buried in unconsecrated ground. As the decades rolled by, and the female folks were allowed into the school rooms, the new ideal age for getting married moved to 25 years. I remember how I used to get worried about aunts who did not get hooked by age 25. Today, we have women empowerment and feminism and the new age target for getting married is 30 years and some even say above. Also, these new age women mostly have a source of income, so they can easily say to a potential husband, "be gone, I do not need you, I can take care of myself" over very trivial matters. These days, you would hardly find girls who are thinking of marriage at 20 years and if the thought does cross their minds, they have handy friends to dislodge such a "crazy" notion immediately. These friends, I guess always mean well even when their excuse for you not to get married is "we never rock life finish".

Enough of all my rantings, and on to the reason for today's post. I noticed the high rate of divorce and separations in marriages, and truthfully, it is alarming. It begs for answers to the question, "how did our parents do it?" Many of our parents have been married for over 25 - 40 years. I do not think I've ever heard my mother tell my dad that she could cater for her own needs, or rub in her family background or education. Somehow, they are able to resolve their issues amicably. It then brings me to these questions;

Did our parents not bring us up as well as their parents did them?
Did we just refuse to pay attention to their words of advice?
Are we too concerned with the butterflies in our stomach and "fireworks and sparks" in the name of love, than the real issues?
Is it a modern generation thing?
Is it because women now have jobs outside the home?
Did You Get Why Married (The Reasons)?

Guess what? It does not matter what the answers to these questions are, because when a marriage is broken, it is automatically the fault of the woman (whether we like it or not). It's either she works too much, does not take care of the home, disrespects her husband, she is now fat and the list is endless. Bottomline, she has changed. She was not that way when he married her. Amazing! I often wonder if the man did not change. Something very important from my research, is that many young ladies enter into marriage with unrealistic ideas. The worst of these ideas is the "I can change him" syndrome. I actually believe that this is a possible mission, but only for the lucky 1%. Adults (men and women alike) who are usually set in their ways done change unless they consciously decide to or there is a divine invention. So ladies, if you think you can change him, think again.

Another thing is certain, most men are chauvinistic by nature and want to be on top everytime (right or wrong). By this, I have concluded that men do run the world, (don't pay any to mind that Beyoncé's song), but we color the world. I have come to realize that, even though I may not want to accept it wholeheartedly. One quick example, George Clooney remained a veritable bachelor till last year when he got married at 53 years (If you do not count his 1st marriage). He could afford to bet that he would not have kids till a certain age. This did not stop him from dating (and now marrying) hot women.Women on the other hand, would start counting how long we have till our reproductive life is over. We just do not have the luxury.

Now to the reason why I say women change after marriage, these are just a few observations I've made concerning women and marriage.

We act all nice and lovely while planning to show our true colors once we have been married. It's no wonder the male folks say 'she was not like that when we were dating'. If you can not be your true self when you are with someone, why would you want to marry that person? Why try so hard to please him when you are dying to explode inside? It's no use. So, My First Rule To A Successful Marriage Is BE YOURSELF.

If he slaps you once a month before you marry him, be sure to start getting a daily dose once you are married. Like I said, men do not change after marriage. However, I think it should be the other way round. Men do change after marriage, majority of them for the worst. I do not know why, but I guess they also feel it's time to do whatever they want since you can almost not threaten them with a breakup. So secondly, if you know you can not tolerate a habit or behaviour when you are dating, why do you think you can live with it for the rest of your life? Do not marry a man for the wrong reason. Screen and separate the seed from the chaff before making the decision of who to marry. CHOOSE WISELY.

Many women are hot before they get married, then they get married and start tying wrapper at home. I mean, did he ask you out when you were shabby looking? We think we are now married, no need to dress up. I tell you solemnly, men are like babies, if you fail to keep his attention on you then he would focus it elsewhere. LOOK ALWAYS HOT !!! ...

My mother always says the way to a man's heart is through his belly. Well anatomical, that does not pan out, but there is some logic in it. Men love great meals. I think it's ancestral or something. COOK TASTY MEALS.

I listened to a song once and the singer (a man) wanted a woman who could be a lady by day and a freak by night. I laughed but it is the really we live in. A man wants a woman who can be his mother, sister, friend, wife and baby. Ladies if you would allow yourselves think about it, we too want a man who can be our daddy, brother, bestfriend, husband and child. It's just the way the world goes. BE PREPARED.

Why do we complain about working and doing all the house chores while he watches TV while sipping a cold beer? Find a way around it. Do not nag, do not criticize, ask for help. Find ways to involve him in some of the homework. Explain how tired you are at the end of each day. If you must criticize, then there is a formula to that - The SANDWICH. Place the criticism between 2 positive statements; Like honey, I know how hard you work to provide for me and you must be tired, but if you could just keep me company in the kitchen, help me maybe dry the plates, I'd be very happy, I miss being with you all day. BE CREATIVE

Now to the breaker of many homes - SEX. I know some men are what we call dogs, (no offense). They chase everything that looks like a woman. Sometimes though, it is our faults. Men are sexual creatures, so they can wake up at 2am and want to go. Women on the other hand are romantics. We want him to understand what we are not saying because we expect him to read our body language. Well, I think we better start talking and stop signaling. I know how tiring it can be to wake up way early to meet up with morning preparations, especially if you have children who need to be fed and be at school early enough. Yourself, who is a working mother and you have to come home and continue the process till midnight everyday. Sex would be the last thing on you mind (that's if it's even there). Despite these mirade of issues, try not to deprive your man of sex or he will look for a place to get it and it would only hurt you in the end. EMBRACE YOUR SEXUALITY

We are human beings and we are bound to disagree on issues but I have learnt that even though the violent taketh it by force, silence is golden. It is best sometimes silent and to avoid any words that could be impossible to take back once said. Also, sorry never hurt anyone. Learn to use these very important words. SILENCE AND SORRY

Friends can be good, but they can also be destructive. Friends have been some known to be the destruction of many marriages, their tactics range from giving you bad advice to outrightly stealing your husband right from under your nose. Mind the kind of people you invite into your home. And on no account should you allow a 3rd party into your marriage. CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS WITH CARE.

Lastly, not everyone is happy that somehow, in this difficult world of 7 billion people you were able to locate your missing rib. BE PRAYERFUL.

Women! We are extraordinary creatures, we may not run the world, but we make it go round and we sure do color it. Happy women's day

The low quality of the VR video showing the incident happening in real time makes it hard to study the details. And it’s easier to hide the telltale signs of computer graphics in low-res footage. You’d be right to raise an eyebrow with only this as evidence of the encounter.

pheeeeew! “It is not in my place to say. Everything depends on your father and how willing he is in fighting for his life”

“God! how’s Segun,the driver?”

“His legs got stuck and there was little time to try and pull it out so it was amputated but he’s losing a lot of blood”

“Jesus!!”

“If you don’t mind,Mr Green,I will go make my rounds on my patients. Excuse me”,he said getting up

“Thank you”

“Please make yourself comfortable, there are fruits in the fridge”

“I’ll be alright. Thank you,Amadi”

He had to call Fiona,she had asked for the name of the hospital, she wanted to come and having there with him seemed like the best thing.

Good Hope Hospital is a three-storey building. Among the best in Port Harcourt, situated at the South side of the city. It has over eight hundred working ranging from doctors to nurses to lab attendants to cleaners,making it difficult to know all workers.

Good Hope Hospital employ over hundred interns every year that would be placed under the supervision of a resident,this resident would be responsible for everything the intern does. After the year runs out,fifty of the interns would asked to leave,twenty-five would be kept on trial and after six months,twenty out of the twenty-five asked to leave.

Working in Good Hope was every medical practitioner’s dream in Port Harcourt, it has won the best hospital in the state for five years in a row.

“I think we should get the police to investigate”,Fiona told Joshua.

“What? Why?”,Joshua asked shocked

“Because I think I know who did…..”

“Mr Green….” Dr Amadi interrupted “Can I have a word with you,please?”

“I’ll be right back,Fiona,wait for me. Don’t leave me”,he said and followed the doctor

After the two men were out,Fiona thought of what had led her to saying that. It had started the moment Tiara had silently ended the conversation they were having in the kitchen by walking out of the kitchen, Fiona had wanted to ask her a question regarding the paper company, so she went to look for Tiara in her room,she was about opening the door when she heard “GHH”. She went into her room thinking what it meant and then Joshua’s call quenched her curiosity, Joshua told her his dad was at Good Hope Hospital, she then put two and two together and realized “GHH” was actually the abbreviation of Good Hope Hospital and she remembered Tiara’s word “He’ll live but there’s more to come”. Getting into her car and driving out of the compound, she summarized everything and the answer was put into a simple sentence—Tiara is planning an attack on Paul’s life in the hospital. But then there are questions she asks herself,the first one,if Tiara planned the accident, why didn’t she arrange to have him killed in the accident? why wait to kill him in the hospital. The second question; how was Tiara planning to murder Paul in the hospital, could it be through a paid doctor?, a paid nurse? how?. The third question; can that kind of crime be committed in the hospital without the doctors and nurses knowing?. No,Tiara’s plan won’t work this time,the plan was doomed to fail and Paul would live because he deserves to,he deserves a second chance, everybody deserves a second chance,even the devil.

Taking a ‘U’ turn, she realized that all those years that Tiara and she grew up together as kids,she never really knew who Tiara was but now she knows who that being in the name of Tiara was ;an authoritative, cold and devilish girl.

When Fiona reached the hospital and got out from her car,she stepped into the hospital, she realized it was like a carnival,there were lots of people dressed in white lab coats with different colours of uniforms; blue,pink,green,and she wondered why.

She pressed a group of doctors and noticed their names were imprinted on their lab coat.
