<itunes:summary>The slow Spain Spanish language podcast is really the hub of what we are all about. As a language teacher for more than 15 years I have observed that the main problem of language acquisition is consistency. I have had many students who have been studying for more than 20 years! Why? Because they stop and start, get depressed over their learning, take 3 months off from classes over the summer, never listen to original source material or watch movies in the original version and a very long etc. You need daily contact with a language and if you’re not living in a country where the language you are learning is spoken, this has to be by “artificial” means. In the past this was difficult, but with the advent of internet it is now within everyone’s reach. There is a wealth of material out there - radio shows, tv news, movies, podcasts, blogs... there is now no excuse NOT to have some daily contact with Spanish. Our podcast is created so that you can have an authentic listening “lesson”, one that you can use over and over again and listen to in the car, on the tube or at the beach. It’s real Spanish spoken at real speed and yes, it’ll probably take a while to get your ear tuned but that’s what it’s all about. Even if you come on one of our language holidays you will need some backup to maintain the level you’ve acquired practicing for a whole week. That’s why we give you the podcast, blog and newsletters - so that you have constant contact with the language. So get on over to iTunes, subscribe to our podcast and start listening to real Spanish. There’s no excuse not to.</itunes:summary>
