This is good news for those who own the Xperia Arc, Neo or Pro. Sony is going to roll out the Android Ice Cream Sandwich to the these Xperia 2011 line up within a week time. The Xperia 2011 line ups which will get ICS upgrade are Xperia arc, Xperia neo, Xperia mini, Xperia mini pro, Xperia pro, Xperia active and Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman.

There is still no any word on how user will get this update, but users can have it either from Sony Pc or MAC companion. The new ICS upgrade to Sony Xperia will bring Android ICS 4.0.4. Sony also states that the Xperia Ray, neo V and arc S, which have got the Android 4.0.3 update recently, will also get the Android 4.0.4 update soon.

The only bad news is for Xperia Play users as they need to wait more time to get ICS upgrade on their device. The reason? Testing revealed that PLAY couldn’t deliver a competent gaming experience when running an ICS build.

Digitimes reports suggested that Apple is going to use G/F2 thin-film touch technology on their most awaited 7inch iPad mini. It is also rumor to be launch by the end of 2012. This new thin-film technology on touch will enables iPad mini to be thinner as it has less layer than current structure.

Cyanogen Mod developers has ported Cyanogen Mod 9 (CM9) firmware on Galaxy Note N7000. The new Cyanogen Mod 9 for Galaxy Note is based on Android ICS 4.0.4. To use this custom ROM on your Galaxy Note N700, you must have unlocked and rooted device.

Updating Galaxy Note to CM9 ICS

1. Connect your Galaxy Note to system where you downloaded the files via USB Cable, then copy both files to internal memory. Please keep in mind that the package should me in root directory otherwise it is undetectable.

2. Now put your device in Recovery Mode which can be done by holding down three buttons: Volume Down, OK, and Power buttons. Please keep in mind once again, you must have rooted Galaxy Note.

3. Once you are in Recovery mode, the first thing is to wipe your data and bring your device to factory mode. For this select “Wipe data/factory reset” then “Wipe Cache partition.”

4. Now, select the “install zip from sd card” followed with “choose zip from sd card” and browse through the directory where you put the packages. Select the CM9 ICS package first then the Google Apps package.

5. The whole process will takes 5 to 7 minutes, however is can be longer. Meantime get some coffee.

Finally, you device will reboot automatically with Cyanogen Mod 9 brand based on ICS 4.0.4. Incase if you device does not reboot, then remove and re-insert battery and switch on device.

Twitter has said it joins Mozilla in a bid to give its users the ability to opt-out of being tracked in any way through Twitter.This comes as a good piece of news for the users needing more privacy since the browser prevents websites from using cookies to track the user’s behavior and personal info.

Twitter will implement the Do Not Track feature in the Firefox browser that enables people to opt-out of cookies that collect personal information and any third-party cookies, including those used for advertising. The Do Not Track functionality will only work if a Web site agrees to acknowledge it. Users will still see ads, but not ones geared specifically at the user. A Do Not Track HTTP header is transmitted each time a user’s data is requested from the Web.

Twitter said that it supports Do Not Track, at least on its Web service. "The Federal Trade Commission’s CTO, Ed Felten, just mentioned Twitter now supports Do Not Track," Carolyn Penner, a Twitter spokeswoman, stated via Twitter. "We applaud the FTC’s leadership on DNT."

Meanwhile Mozilla said that they are excited that Twitter now supports Do Not Track and global user adoption rates continue to increase, which signifies a big step forward for Do Not Track and the Web. Mozilla noted that the adoption rates of Do Not Track are now 8.6 percent for desktop users and 19 percent for mobile users.The highest percentage of users turning on Do Not Track are located in the Netherlands, France, and the United States, Mozilla added.

Firefox users can go to Tools > then Options then Privacy. And finally check the Tell websites I do not want to be tracked option.

HTC One X is hottest android smartphone by HTC with best processor and the user interface. Some users using HTC One X faces minor glitches on Sense 4.0 based launcher. Pre Requisites:

• Minimum battery charge level must be above 40% in your HTC One X. So make it sure that you have enough battery backup before applying this fix.
• Enable the USB Debugging in your HTC One X which can be done via “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. The USB Debugging option should be checked.

Guide to Fix Launcher Issue in HTC One X:

• Please make sure that your HTC One X is rooted and installed with Cock Work mod recovery. Then download either Super Smooth Launcher or Ultra Smooth Launcher to your computer.
• Now connect your HTC One X to the system and place a required zip file to the your phone. Just be sure that the file is not placed in deep into sub folder or else it won’t detected.
• Switch off your device to entered in boot loader mode which can be done by pressing Volume UP Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button.
• In recovery mode, select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then choose the placed zip file launcher in your HTC One X which will take 4-5 min.

New version of iOS email app Sparrow has been released today. The app becomes upgraded to version 1.2 with lots of good features. The new version has landscape composing, can edit/create labels, and can swipe between email threads.

Other features of iOS app Sparrow 1.2 include vertical message navigation and localisation in nine languages i.e., French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Dutch, Russian, and Chinese. We can also see the updates to the contact picture-rendering engine pictures will show up quickly next to emails in your inbox even if you have hundreds of contacts. The new updates fixes scrolling issues and bugs that displayed drafts as empty cells in the mail view and poor contact suggestions.

Users can navigate messages by swiping up and down, with a separator indicating when you’re entering a new conversation. They can write emails in landscape mode and create and edit the folders and labels can directly from within Sparrow.
