When writing something for the web, don't type  it in your browser using whatever text editor that's provided on the site you're writing and posting to. Use a text editor on your computer first, save it, then copy and paste into the browser/site text editor when finished. You'll save yourself many headaches by not getting logged out or having browser crashes.

Lets see, you have a mac, and you want a stylized signature. Do you want something more than just text, but are annoyed by "attachments" when you include a graphic file of some kind? If this is the case, I've got the solution for you. Read "Creating an HTML signature in Apple Mail" by Tyler Tate on the Paradigm Reborn website. You won't be disappointed.

Working on my portfolio

It's simply amazing to be in this process I'm in of collecting files for my portfolio. It's the first time I've done this digitally. I've had my standard one for interviews forever, but I'm just now getting to my digital version and I have to say I'm simply shocked at how much work I've done over the past 10 years at Catalyst. I've been working on this for days now and I only hope I can finish up tomorrow, but It's not looking very likely. We'll see.

It appears I'm making progress finally on this cms thing. I'm gradually getting an understanding of it all and how it all fits together. I've made more progress using textpattern than any other source I've tested, so I think that's the one I'm gonna stick with for now.

cms search delay

My dennishughett.com was launched two weeks ago and I've been seeking a cms to run the site and blog through. I've had limited time to search, but I'm gradually determining which one is best for me. Tried Wordpress and I'm not sure it's the right solution for me. I'm now taking a closer look at Joomla. We'll see how that progresses. I'll keep you posted.

Ok ok, I know. It's been a long time since my last post. Well, I'm going to try to do better over time. I'm currently trying to get my web sites in order and designed. The first of which will be on my dennishughett.com domain. I've more to do, but it shouldn't be long now. I'll update here when it's complete.
