老朽化が進み取り壊しの話も取り沙汰される黒川紀章による中銀カプセルタワービル。1970年代のメタボリズム建築の思想に則って建設された中銀カプセルタワービルだが、デザイン先行で住み心地は悪そうで、ドアの外には私物が溢れている。需要に応じて時が経るごとにカプセルを取り替える方法もあったが今までカプセルが交換されたことは遂になかった。住み心地の悪いさに加え老朽化でほとんどの部屋は住む者もなく空き部屋となっている。黒川紀章は最近では2015年の完成を目途に進行している中国の鄭州のマスタープランなどに参加していたが、こういったトンデモ建築は中国でこそふさわしいと言えるだろう。

Consisting of 140 individual capsule apartments that were intended for people who worked in Tokyo during the week, they were all connected to the central beam by just 4, high-tension bolts. An element that was a key component of its Metabolist design, meaning the capsules could be replaced over time, allowing the building to adapt and meet changing demands. At least that was the idea, but in reality the capsules have stayed where they are, and a lack of maintenance has left the tower looking extremely worse for wear. Both the actual structure.

No doubt due to the tower’s increasingly desperate state, a good number of the rooms are now unoccupied ― something that the continued speculation about its demolition will presumably increase. International backing for it actually remains strong, with architects all over the world expressing their desire to keep the building as it is, or better still finally replace the capsules. But within Japan, and more importantly amongst residents, support appears to have wained, and although it is still standing despite numerous threats in the past, the Nakagin Capsule Tower seems unlikely to survive for much longer.

中国のビデオサイトであるyouke（優酷）とtudou（土豆）が100%の株式交換によって合併する。合併後の会社名はyouke tudouとなり中国でのビデオサイトの市場占有率において約50%を占めることになる。今後、中国のネットユーザーがビデオを見る場合にはひとつのサイトだけに行けばよくなるが、これまでyoukeとtudouはコンテンツの内容において微妙に異なっており、日本のテレビドラマなどの扱いがばらばらだったが、今後ひとつの会社になれば規制がかかるのが容易くなるだろう。

Youku and Tudou have just announced that they will be merging into a single company today, in an agreement that would see the two companies engage in a 100 percent stock-for-stock transaction. The marriage between the two online video giants results in a new (and unimaginatively title) entity called Youku Tudou Inc. The move means netizens in China now have a single web destination that combines a huge cache of content, licensed, unlicensed, amateur and otherwise.

中国大陸と台湾の中国語の差異を集めたデータベースである中華語言知識庫がオープンした。このデータベースは台湾の馬英九総統の提案によって中国大陸と台湾の共同作業で行われた。また同様の共同作業によって中国語の差異を収録した小辞典である「両岸毎日一詞」も発表されている。

グーグルの中国語ピンイン入力法が更新されたことでもあるし、北辞郎から抽出した広東語の単語語句を一気に中国語ピンイン入力法のユーザー辞書に導入するためのファイルを作った。しかし導入にあたっては正しいピンイン綴りに従わなければならないために、hold住やK仔やO嘴などの広東語特有の英語が混ざった単語やheaやOutなど純粋な英語綴りのものは導入できない。hold住やK仔やO嘴などはよく使うのだから、グーグルには例えばv+hold+v+zhuというように、vをトグルとして使って、いちいち英語と中国語を入れ替えなくとも、一気にhold住を入力できるようにしてほしいものだ。このファイルを導入し終えるとある単語は導入に失敗したとアラートが出るけれども、例えば一句唔该使死人がyjwgshsrと打つだけで出てくるし、一啖砂糖一啖屎がydshtydshと打つだけで出てくるようになる。広東語を粤拼でなしに普通語のピンインで打ちたい時などに役立つかも知れない。

1990年代後半から雲南省では地元の少数民族の文化を観光向けに商業化するプロジェクトに多額の金を投資してきた。その中で最も成功した例は麗江の玉龍雪山を背景にしたチャン・イーモウによる音楽とダンスによるパフォーマンスである印象麗江だ。観光的には常に麗江の影を踏んできた大理も印象麗江に対抗し、大理古城の北東の貯水池を取り壊して、ディレクターに雲南にも関係が深い映画監督のチェン・カイコーを迎え、希夷之大理を去年の夏に開始した。

しかし蓋を開けてみると客数は伸びず、冬場の寒い時期にはパフォーマンスの役者の数と観客が同数の日々も少なくなく、売り上げ収入が危機の状態にある。希夷之大理は夜8時45分から10時30分にかけて毎日行われていて周辺住民に大音響をぶちまけているほか、貯水池を取り壊したために周辺の農民の灌漑用水も奪った。良い点と言えば、果子園の前の道路が再舗装されて綺麗になったことぐらいだろうか。

もともと希夷之大理はチャン・イーモウが指揮をとるはずだったが、印象麗江との契約で雲南での他のパフォーマンスを監督できないことからチェン・カイコーに白羽の矢が立った経緯がある。自分も実際にパフォーマンスを見たけれども、音楽監督を久石譲がやっていたり、中国人歌手の劉歓が主題歌「無縁今生」を歌っていたり、後方の大スクリーンにコンピューターグラフィックの映像が流れたりして、決して内容は悪くはないのだが、冬を過ぎてもこのままの状況が続けば大理が麗江の印象麗江の成功を真似することは極めて難しいと言わざるをえない。

A recent Kunming Information Hub report has declared that the performance has reached a "box office crisis", noting that most nights the Eye of Dali Dream Theatre, where the show is held, has few audience members, with the number of attendees roughly the same as the number of performers. Nevertheless, the show goes on nightly from 8:45 to 10:30, creating substantial noise and light pollution that can be felt throughout much of the old town. Prior to annoying many local residents with its loud nighttime performances and morning rehearsals, Mysterious Dali already rubbed many people the wrong way by destroying a reservoir that had been used by nearby farmers for irrigation. With a total investment of over 370 million yuan (US$58.6 million) and the backing of a government-owned company, Imagining Dali is an expensive and high-profile tourism investment. It was originally hoped that Zhang would create an outdoor performance for Dali, but due to an exclusivity clause in his Impression Lijiang contract, Zhang was not allowed to create such a performance elsewhere in Yunnan.
