Zap2it’s source says nobody’s in the lead just yet considering talks only began on Tuesday (May 29). Actors are still reading for the role, and the studio is strongly considering bringing in an unknown to avoid ego clashes on set. It’s easy to understand the mix-up — someone probably got their hands on the confidential memo going around that reveals the three men are currently on the shortlist of dudes we’d love to marry in a fantasy dream world. (Honestly, any list with those three guys on it is a win-win-win situation.)

The scenes the actors are reportedly reading for the role include the sugar cube scene where Finnick first meets Katniss and the scene where he hears Annie’s scream.

So, while we may not be near the end of Finnick casting, it looks like it is in full swing with actor’s currently (like right now!) reading for the role!

Liam Hemsworth has been chosen as co-winner of the 2012 AIF (Australians in Film) Breakthrough Award. The award which honors Aussie actors for their international success will be given out at a benefit dinner in LA on June 27, 2012.

From Inside Film:

Hemsworth’s breakout performance was in The Hunger Games, which has now grossed more than $650 million worldwide and is the second most popular film so far this year in Australia, having sold more than $30 million worth of tickets.

He is expected to also appear in the sequel, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and is also attached to Paranoia, alongside Gary Oldman and Harrison Ford, Arabian Nights, with Dwayne Johnson and Anthony Hopkins,and The Expendables 2, with Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Jet Li. Liam is younger than both his brothers Chris and Luke, who are also actors.

Remember, once again this is all rumor, but it looks like we are in line to board the casting roller coaster once again. Everyone be sure your hands and arms are in the car and your seat belt is securely fastened, sometimes these rides get bumpy!

A source tells us at that the top three names being bantered about right now are Armie Hammer, Taylor Kitsch and Garrett Hedlund.

The source also says that a final decision from the studio may be announced as early as this week.

However, another source says the studio may also be looking at unknowns à la Brad Pitt in Thelma & Louise.

Filming is scheduled to begin in the fall with Francis Lawrence taking over the directing reigns from Gary Ross.

Reps for the three did not comment.

A Lionsgate rep said, “As with the first film, we won’t be confirming, denying or commenting on any casting rumors for this title. We will announce news wide when there is official casting news to announce.”

Now, remember news from a “source” should be taken as RUMOR at this point, but still it’s exciting to think that things may finally be happening. What do you think of these supposed 3 top choices? Let us know in the comments.

This past week Lionsgate revealed that The Hunger Games will be available on DVD/Blu-ray on August 18, 2012 in the US.  There are a few different versions to purchase, from the basic 2 disc edition, to the Walmart and Target Exclusive Editions and all are available for online pre-order now.  The release at 12:01 am on August 18th also brings the possibility of midnight release parties at stores as well and we have heard rumblings that Walmart is all ready making plans to host them at some of their stores.  Of course you could also just head to the store on 8/18 to pick up your copy as well.  So many decisions, which version to pick up and how to purchase, which brings us to this week’s question.

Where will you be purchasing your copy of The Hunger Games DVD/Blu-ray?  Do you have plans to do an online pre-order, hope to attend a midnight party or are you content to pick up a copy after release?

By 1991, a good part of the world was already under the spell of Lenny Kravitz’s psychedelic brand of rock by way of his 1989 debut Let Love Rule.  Now Kravitz was back with a groundbreaking album, Mama Said, a collection that took the listener on a musical journey filled with brutally honest recounts of love, failures, hope, spirituality and acceptance. It notably featured a resounding 7 singles, including several definitive Kravitz classics such as  “Always On The Run” and “It Ain’t Over Til It’s Over.”

Among the Deluxe Edition’s previously unreleased recordings are several unfinished songs from the Mama Said album sessions, as well as home demos from late in the Let Love Rule era, which would later be finished for inclusion on Mama Said. Others, including “Riding On The Wings Of My Lord” and “Framed, Lying, Crying,” would not be released in any form – until now.  Also included is the previously unreleased “It Ain’t Over Til It’s Over” remix 12” (sides A and B) and an unissued five-song live EP recorded in Rotterdam during the Mama Said tour.  Official live and studio B-sides are also included, completing the commemorative reissue of this epic classic album.
