Ok as you all maybe have noticed we haven't been writing much on our blog for some time.
Updating the blog and website have unfortunately been a little to far down on our To Do list. We will try harder.

Maybe some of you know that we have been working on a Pilot to a feature film. So with that in mind you can find us at Cannes film festival this weekend. If your there we'd love to meet you possibly over a G&T and have a chat.

Crickey we've been busy and the Hippo needs to go and lie down and eat some mince pies (other pies are available) at Christmas. It's been a brilliant year and our New Year's resolution is to blog more in 2013 and let you know more about what we are upto.

One thing to blog about is we just received this certificate from Doctors without Borders for helping them with some of their visuals. We are only to happy to help and congratulate them on their brilliant work and also thank Fredrik Försling of Special Branding Project for giving us the opportunity.

Yesterday 28th of October Varian medical system launched there new EDGE radiosurgery system.
We created these images completely in CGI. These images are a small selection of the work we produced.

The Hippo has been in the Gym quite a bit lately. He'll need to be fighting fit as we are entering an intense period of production on some really cool projects. Which we will share with you once they have been completed.

He's also been eating a lot lately and needs to expand so if you know anybody who's good with Animals give us a call. If they are also good with CGI, Post production and toilet cleaning that would be a bonus.

The Hippo is now back from a photo shoot in Gothenburg shooting for Volvo.
It was a tough shoot with allot of images so we were up agains the wall.

The best enviroment for the Hippo is amongst friends on happy occations, so there was no suprice he could be found on "members night" at the Fotografiska Museum in Stockholm. This film, produced by Hungry Hippo (Gustaf von Kantzow) was to run behind the photographer, singer and songwriter Jacob Felländer and his band during their performance on stage. It was a fantastic night - the Hippo found many fans in the cheering crowd. The film is a compilation of Jacobs photos, creating perfect synergy with his music. It was a pleasure to work with such great material.

Hungry Hippo Eats into the Pied Piper

The Hippo loves Children's Storys but He's not so sure about the Scary ones. So when Fredrik Forsling (Special Branding Projects) & Joakim Svensson (Mass Creation) asked for his help to give a new twist to the Pied Piper legend he immediately sat up and took notice. The idea was to use the Pied Piper story as a way to show Children the danger of Smoking for the organization *Non Smoking generation* & he loved it.

The image was created by mixing real studio based images of the models photographed by Adrian Burt (Hungry Hippo) with a CGI background which was supervised by John Andersson (Hungry Hippo) and created by John (Hungry Hippo) & Marcus Kjellberg (at MFX).

The re-touch was done by Adrian Burt (Hungry Hippo) and the repro by Bertil Israelsson (Mosebacke Repro). The cool model styling which the Hippo loved was done by Karolina Olson Haglund. Also a shout out to Adrian's Kids Hanna & Christopher who along with the Child Models from SYNK casting helped create an unsettling tone to the image. Last but by no means least Nicholas Ulfsberger at Mikas who helped bring the Pied Piper to life with His brilliant character performance (Still gives Adrian nightmares to this day)

The Hippo has been well and truly fed and is having his afternoon sleep but when he awakes he'll be as hungry as ever.

This is Adrian on his Daily commute. Sweden where the Hippo likes to live can be a bit tricky to get around at times.

Ok it's actually for a job we filmed for one of our good friends & clients. During the filming we closed down the Arlanda International Airport for 10 min. So if you where catching a plane last Thursday sorry.

We recently had an Entertaining Evening recording interviews here in Sunny, Stockholm, Sweden for one of our US Clients, Fraser Edwards at Six Degree Productions in San Francisco.

We where asked to interview an assortment of people working for a leading Telecommunications Company about how they viewed the future of mobile connectivity . The answers we got where unexpected & hilarious. No CGI was involved but it ended up non the less very animated.

The Hippo always enjoys a chat so enjoyed his new friends and had a very good time.

We will try and upload a few out takes in the coming weeks

Cary Grant & the HH Film Shoot

In July we where in New York shooting a promo and had a great shoot. Got some lovely looking images of NYC from some very high Up and some very low Down locations (directions and Heights). Basically shoot the City from dawn to dusk for three days.

One of the location we shot from was in Mid Manhattan, the balcony from the apartment had a great view. We where told when we where there that Cary Grant had lived in it for 12 years.

It wasn't a huge space actually it was quite small but location, location.

The colleague I was with was rather quite when I started getting excited about being in Mr Grant's old apartment.

I thought it was really really cool.

When we where finished and back on the street it was only then that I realized he didn't actually know who Cary Grant was. Ahh the Youth of today. Recognized his picture though in the Hotel Bar that Evening and in the Cafe the next day.

But it's surprising how many People don't know who He is or James Dean or.... Time marches on. Here is an up processed shot of how the location looked.
