Seriously tell you, i am not excited for this chinese version of sangokushi taisen ver 1, as SEGA remake this ver into chinese language, with combination of games system modes of ver 1 + 2 and the card also in ver 1 + 2
althought some of the art drawing of card is still follow with SEGA, but the ability has slightly a bit change ..... (see below, click pic to enlarge)

*left side is japan card version, right side is chinese version

obviously UC fa zheng has up 1 int to 9 compare with jpn ver

it's been 2 years old of street fighter iv since 2008, and now capcom announce again the super version of street fighter iv

it's gonna been release at mid of april, in xbox 360 and ps3, ya its home console, sorry for those arcade addict as capcom has not yet announce the release date of arcade version, even in pc version, or may be, it will not going to happen, so if u are not a console fans but as a loyalty fan game of SSFVI, then u have no choice to get a unit of console

so far for the updates of this SSFVI as below
1. add 10 new characters, featuring

excel : massive complicated subtotal formula in respective section

as follow to the data validation in excel that share with you last time, here i gonna show u how to make a sum calculation using complicated combination formula

as i thought my assignment is done at data validating, but here got another request by my client, that he/she required to build up a subtotal for each of every section, and show the result at the next column instead of bottom row of each of every section, as picture show

the main priority condition and concern
1. the subtotal is located at the next beside of the amount instead of bottom of each of every section
2. each section devided by one empty rows as a partition
3. each of every section is lead by running no and item, and contains multiple description, so subtotal will be perform according to the multiple description in each section
4. the subtotal is only take counts by its respective section, and show the output at the beginning cell of each section.
5. the subtotal calculation cannot overlap with other section.

if the subtotal is placed at the end of each section, it will be easy by determine the last empty rows of each section, but for this case, the position has been change to the begining section, thus we need to think how to make excel to determine the last empty rows of the amount column then the calculation will be take place

After do some research, found out there is a multiple formula that can solve me a problem, but with just a little "massaging", then the subtotal data will be miracle to appear on the screen

here we going to use the following formula

1. =CELL("address",[cell location])
this is to determine the absolute cell location inside a sheet, eg:$a$1
2. =ADDRESS([row number],[column number])
this is another formula to determined the absolute cell location inside a sheet, eg:$a$1
3. =MATCH(criteria,range,match type)
this is a formula that do comparison of the cell value, and the result will be the cell location within the range specify, with absolute match or variance match provided, this formula will be use here as nested in ADDRESS
4. =SUM(cell1,cell2,cell3:cell4......)
most common formula, here is going to use it as subtotal
5. =INDIRECT([value / creteria])
here is the interesting part, most of the time when several excel formula cannot determine the nested function, especially SUM, whereby SUM only calculate the amount according to absolute value, and cell location value only, but nested formula does not supported, thus INDIRECT will be going to save your life today
6. =IF(creteria,value if true,value if false)
last but not least, the last stage to determined the cell condition and defined the exactly section that the calculation takes for.

with this formula, i gonna to combine all of this into one, to become like this, eg:
=IF(A2="",#N/A,SUM(INDIRECT(CELL("address",D2)):INDIRECT(ADDRESS((MATCH(0,D2:D21,0)-2)+ROW(),4))))

so can everyone understand wut is the flow of formula about? well, lets go for the walkthru

1. to avoid any confusing, insert several column and use the formula one by one, start from the beginning little portion

2. here i gonna start with cell location, CELL, first, determine the very first of beginning of description in section, make sure the cell you point is under amount column, input the formula like this
=CELL("address",F2) - output : $f$2

3. 2nd column, i gonna determine cell location of the last line of the amount in this section, thus, i gonna use this formula
=MATCH(0,F2:F21,0) - output : 4
this is to check the very first of the cell location that contains "0" value in "amount" column, within F2 to F21, and exact match

4. but thats not enough, we need to determine the exact last line of this section, so i gonna add the match formula into address formula, to built up nested formula.
=ADDRESS(MATCH(0,F2:F21,0),6) - output : $f$4
althought it seems it is no problem as i can get the result what i want, but be caution that this formula only serve for the first section, if you have multiple section, then the next section will get wrong result (try use fill handle to drag the formula and see if u can get what i mean)

5. so here is the tricky part, try to add a little bit of calculation to adjust the formula back to relevant position, so i put this
=ADDRESS((MATCH(0,F2:F21,0)-2)+ROW(),6) - output : $f$4
here is the explanation, if i substitute the every formula result in this nested formula, it will become like this
- result of =MATCH(0,F2:F21,0) , output : 4
- then, =ADDRESS((MATCH(0,F2:F21,0)-2)+ROW(),6) will be
   =ADDRESS((4)-2+ROW(),6)
- and row() equal to the current row that is located, eg if the current formulated cell is I2, means row() = 2, so
   =ADDRESS((4)-2+2,6) - output : $f$4
- and the most important part, the -2+ROW(), the reason to add this is for cell location calculation, to shift the figure backward twice, and add the current row location number, this trick is to apply the next section and the following, to make sure the formula can able to determine each of every last description in every section, for eg:
  refer to formula in cell I6
   =ADDRESS((MATCH(0,F6:F25,0)-2)+ROW(),6)
  whereby value for =MATCH(0,F6:F25,0) is 3, row() is 6, subsitute result is
   =ADDRESS((3-2)+6,6) --> = ADDRESS(7,6) = $F$7
====================
wrong example:
so if u can imagine without "-2+row()" formula in nested address formula, the result for I6 will be :
   =ADDRESS((MATCH(0,F6:F25,0),6)
  whereby value for =MATCH(0,F6:F25,0) is 3, subsitute result is
   =ADDRESS(3,6) --> $F$3
====================

6. so for the breakdown, please refer below

7. now, i gonna to consolidate all formula into SUM, so just simply copy and paste the formula inside sum, to become like this
=sum(CELL("address",F2):ADDRESS((MATCH(0,F2:F21,0)-2)+ROW(),6))
but, hey, i cannot get the value, instead, i get error as below

8. so it means, sum cannot support direct nested formula, to avoid that, let us use INDIRECT formula to add inside SUM, like this
=SUM(INDIRECT(CELL("address",F2)):INDIRECT(ADDRESS((MATCH(0,F2:F21,0)-2)+ROW(),6)))
tada, value shows up!!!

9. now, let us compare by using IF statement to determine and put result at the beginning line of each section, so for IF statement, i want formula to check for me whereby the each row under first column, column A, contains and value or not, if yes, then run the sum formula, otherwise, put 0 as output, so the formula looks like this
=IF(A2="",0,"formula") - whereby "formula" will be replace to the sum formula
means that, if A2 is empty, then put 0 as output, otherwise, run the formula
after that, drag the formula to validate.

10. finally, consolidate again by copy the sum formula and paste into if statement, and then, move the if statement to the subtotal column, remove the those breakdown formula, as like below

you're done, if u wanna tidy up by not showing those 0 figure, or if any formula output as error code, use con ditional formatting to hide it, or use excel option to replace those uncountable formula value

but....

===========================
there is some condition that must meet in order to use this

1. this formula to determine the section is based on cell content at the very first column, means that you only allow to put one value in one cell in each section, otherwise, if the first section line has value, and also for the second line in same section, you may get 2 subtotal result in each of every line that has value in first column, under the same section

2. this formula will determine the last section based on empty cell at the description column, means that you have to differentiate each section by skip one empty row as your section partition, if not, the calculation will take place for multiple section instead of single particular section
=============================

this method has a little bit drawback:
1. if the subtotal section consist more than the line that match formula specify, the calculation cannot take place, will be result in error code, and you need to increase the range in match formula, my example given above is ranged about 20 cell, if not enough, you need to increase manually

here i gonna share one extra knowledge that i forgot or not utilize the features at all, that i suppose know it, it's data validation.

i know how to settle within same sheet, but forgot the method when the data list is located at another sheet

here is how :

although is old news, but i think is neccessary to share this info to you all

this time, i gonna teach you how to enable godmode in windows 7

"godmode"? what the hell is that? can it be that my lappy become invincible just like GOD when i enable it? haha, stupid, this godmode is to ease for all user who are prefer to do various setting but face difficulty to locate the proper section, like if do display settings, need to go to control panel > display, if do mouse setting need to go to control panel > mouse, if need to change layout of windows explorer, have to open windows explorer, go to tools > folder option, etc... bla bla bla..... phew, what the hell...

actually, you may call this godmode as your "one-stop" for all settings in windows 7, as most popular, and those setting that we never learn before, are found under this godmode list, so can we start now?

Step1: go to any place, Create a new folder
Step2: Name your new folder “GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}” (without quotes)
Step3: you're done when u can see the folder icon change to control panel like icon.

After successfully done, you can rename the godmode folder name to any name you like, as the godmode folder name moethod is to call for enable godmode features, after enable, the name can be change, but the godmode feature still there.

personal project episode I : shift cpu casing

so far, i have nothing to do in 1st day cny or 1st day after resignation from previous company, so i gonna find some stuff to do, like setup a desktop based hardware as server

but first, i have to migrate all old parts to new cpu casing, as required a medium tower casing for server, plus the new cpu casing i brought is specially for media player use at guest room

and the result, is very exhausting, takes me about 10 hours to finish migrating, start from 1pm

but you need to do the browser setting in order to use the keyword search function

first, make sure you are using either firefox, opera, chrome, or other browser that can do default keyword search setting (please refer the browser software developer website to find out more info about this), but sorry for IE user, i will try to confirm whetever the function is available or not

then, please add the url and apply the setting, if possible, make it as default search

SFEX2 : error bug in maniac mode

i have searching around but no clue on this error bug, or can it be considered this is something like bug created by game itself? whatever, just enjoy the vid.

this is SFEX2 in ps1 games, the vid show that kairi's to perform maniac combo in maniac mode, as one of sample by AI itself, and take note on the 22sec on this vid, where kairi execute "EXCEL" mode to continue the next combo after hit no. 27, but failed! and it get blocked by zangief.

but this incident is not always happened, sometimes it may done correctly.

i am using emulator for simulation, but this also happen in ps1 console, so try it out and see.

Akuma: After you unlock the 6 characters at the top, defeat him. To make him appear, have at least one perfect match and no continues.
Gouken: After finishing Arcade Mode with Akuma, defeat him when he appears. To do that, get at least a perfect, no continues, and two or more Ultra finishes.
Seth: Clear Arcade Mode with the other characters.
