Messengers – If you are interested in being a messenger to the Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting, please contact the church office by Monday, May 21st. The SBC Annual Meeting is June 19-20 in New Orleans, LA. We will have a special called business meeting to elect messengers on Wednesday, May 23 at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall.

Deacons Meeting – There will be a deacons meeting on May 21st at 7:00 pm.

Alpha Club – The Alpha Club will meet on May 22nd at 11:30 am. Bring a covered dish for lunch. Our program will be Jim and Joyce Cordell presenting a time of music and fun. Don’t miss it!

Graduation Party – HBC church family is invited to celebrate the graduation of our high school seniors on June 3rd at the Lake Forest clubhouse. Drop by anytime from 2:00-5;00 pm to wish our graduates well!

Fish Fry – Join us for fun, fellowship, and fish on Wednesday, June 6th at 6:30 pm in the East Parking Lot. Bring your own chairs/blankets! Please sign up at the church or call the church office.

The Mix – Coming again this summer! The Mix is a summer series where families can eat, worship, and play together. It will include a cookout supper, interactive worship, and recreation time. Wednesday nights at HBC, from June 20th to August 1st, from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. Make plans now to bring your family to The Mix!

Fred Tucker Offering - The Long Run Association’s annual Metro Louisville offering empowers ministries throughout the city. This year’s theme is “Let Your Light Shine.” Please help us reach our church goal of $3,000!

Worship & Music Ministry

God & Country Service – The annual “God & Country” service will be Sunday, July 1 at 10:45 am. Now is a great time to join the choir or orchestra in preparation for that service. We will also host the Kentucky Baptist All State Choir for a concert on Sunday, July 1 at 3:00 pm.

Vacation Bible School - June 11-15 – Please pray for VBS and let us know where you feel God leading you to help.

Leaders Workshop Today - Today, May 20th 4:30-6:00 pm in room 208. We will have decoration examples and catalogs available for you to order decorations and supplies. The order deadline is May 25th. We can also help you with any prep work you would like to get done.

Mission Camp – Hey kids (and parents) join us for mission camp this summer! We will take what we learned last year in our community and put it into action in a different environment on July 23-24 at Country Lake Retreat in Henryville, IN! The camp is open to children entering 1st grade-entering 6th grade. We also need chaperones! The cost is $55 per child with a family maximum of $100. Children’s Missions - GA, RA, and Mission Friends Recognition Service will be Wednesday, May 16 at 6:15 pm in the Worship Center. Come hear the many mission activities that these groups participated in this year. Congrats to the participants and thanks to all the workers for their leadership!

Thank You – Thank you, Hurstbourne family, for supplying lunch for the Baptist Campus Ministry at U of L. We received two blessings in serving and hearing our very own Allan Amburn give the devotion. God continues to shower us with blessings. The next opportunity for Missions Ministry is on May 21st on the backside of the track.
