Wish I could have made it to this event.

G seems to really know where the money is online.

His latest venture gWallet just launched a $20,000 guarantee that any vendor will generate more revenue when they switch from their current monetization platform to gWallet.

gWallet has facilitated 1.7 million minutes of in game video ads so far...

...I used to doubt the viability of virtual currency but after reading on the gWallet blog that the worlds Most Expensive Virtual Object recently sold for $330,000 USD I'm thinking G might just be on to something here.

Cheers,

I just got home, checked my mail, opened that exact letter (while remarking to my roommate that it was probably a Rogers ad), recycled it, then sat down at my computer and read this. I also get similar ads trying to con me into signing back up for their internet service (the previous residents used Rogers). I wish I could somehow opt out of these—we have absolutely no need for television or phone service, and we get 8x as much bandwidth and 1.5x the speed of a comparable Rogers plan via TekSavvy.

The unmarked envelopes are underhanded, and the constant barrage of junk mail is a waste of time and money.

I found some awesome videos of the ice-ball maker. Not surprisingly it's big in Japan. Should have gotten some Macallan scotch at Bar Track.

Ilan: hah, nice reference - embarrassed that I had to look that up.

Melissa: thanks!

Rob, if I were more pugnacious, I'd point out that a fisheye lens is slightly different. Compare: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Panotools5618.jpg (fisheye is the top one). My lens is just a standard wide angle.

Cheers and very nice to formally meet you last night, Andrew.

Nice shots, Andrew! 'fonly I'd been there when they were being taken; streetcar timing and candle lighting put a dent in my evening schedule, however.

Still, a pretty nice party, though for some reason I came in tenser than a slab of Yew at Crécy.
