As part of the launch, a runway show by Filipino fashion designer, Pablo Cabahug was showcased. The whole runway show can be described in one word perfection. The clothes came in the same shades as the ultra-savvy gadget: silver, black and white. The creations even fitted the models o a tee. Guests were amazed by Cabahug’s fashion genius.

Its thoughtful design goes beyond beauty. The 13.3-inch high definition display with slim bezel fits in a body size similar to the form factor of an 11-inch product. The carbon fiber composite base extends the design process, offering a premium visual appeal, and is lighter and cooler to the touch than aluminum.

The Dell XPS 13 also features bonded Corning Gorilla Glass for exceptional durability.

The Dell XPS 13 feels good as it looks good because of a comfort designed keyboard and a sleek, gesture-enabled glass touchpad. It also weighs less than 3 pounds making it comfortable to carry around.

With 2nd Generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, this Ultrabook delivers the speed and performance expected from the XPS family.

With the Intel Smart Connect Technology, it keeps your email, contacts, calendar and social networks up to date, even when your XPS 13 Ultrabook is in sleep mode. In addition, the unit turns on instantly and boots in as little as 8 seconds; resuming from sleep mode in just 1 second (4 seconds from deep sleep). A solid-state drive and Intel Rapid Start Technology makes this possible.

At the recent CP+ 012 Camera & Imaging Show held from February 9 to 12 at the Pacifico Yokohama in Japan, Canon unveiled newest imaging products for its EOS-1D Series and G Series, adding more delight to its customers.

The Ultimate EOS

Canon has brought the best of the EOS-1D Series of digital cameras into one phenomenal model: the new flagship of the EOS line – EOS-1D X. its full-frame 18.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor and all-new DUAL DIGIC 5+Image Processors deliver high quality images capture at up to 12 fps (14 fps in Super High Speed Mode) and a powerful ISO range of 100 – 51200 (up to 204800 in H2 mode) provides sharp, low noise images even in the dimmest low-light conditions. An all new, 61-Point High-Density Reticular AF and 100,000-pixel RGB Metering Sensor that uses a dedicated DIGIC 4 Image Processor, makes the EOS-1D z reach new levels of focus speed and accuracy delivering advanced tracking even for the most challenging shooting situations. Taken all together, the EOS-1D X’s improved HD video capture, numerous connectivity options, combination of processing power and durable construction, including shutter durability tested to 400,000 cycles, make it the ultimate EOS.

The Pinnacle of Powershot

Bright, fast, and more creative than ever: advanced technologies come together for an exciting new camera that moves beyond anything the G-Series has seen before. The PowerShot G1 X digital camera will inspire advanced amateurs who have embraced the G-Series to explore new realms of photographic expression, and give pros an excellent camera that complements their creative demands. The new 1.5-inch High-Sensitivity CMOS sensor approaches an EOS DSLR’s APS-C sized sensor, with a light sensitive area that is approximately 6.3 times larger than that of the PowerShot G12 digital camera. The new 14.3-Megapixel sensor, combined with a new lens and DIGIC 5 Image Processor, creates the HS SYSTEM that delivers image quality previously impossible in a compact camera, with beautiful blur, lower noise, and extraordinary resolution in low-light shooting and can shoot at ISOs of up to 12800. The PowerShot G1 X also has 14-bit RAW capabilities and Full HD Video recording. Manual settings and operability inherited from EOS cameras impart a high-level shooting experience, and open the door to new creative possibilities. Substantive luxury defines the designs: a neatly clarified sculpture with a firm grip, huge Vari-angle LCD and optical viewfinder.

In the online poker world there was hardly anything to be happy about since the Black Friday. But if rumors are to be believed then this is going to change as a website which was the main victim of the UIGEA will be active again shortly. PokerRoom.com had to pullout of USA was having really bad revenues from the business which resulted in the discontinuation of poker online to its players. However, it looks they may be back soon.

This story was first reported by Pokerfuse a couple of weeks ago when the tweet by one of Bwin Poker’s SEO manager came out stating that soon the website will start working. But when there were frequent queries both from online poker media and the players, the person pulled back his claim and clarified that they might have overreacted to a minor website update.

PokerNewsBoy’s James Guill after getting in touch with his sources at Bwin reported that they are planning on the reopening of the website as hinted by their tweet but nothing more was confirmed. Mr Guill who has been following up the story when it was first reported by Pokerfuse informed on the information received from the sources about the updating of the website. They thought the updating of the website was overdue, but this doesn’t seems to be a strong reason.

While Bwin confirmed nothing about PokerRoom news officially but all the rumors which are going on are giving hint that they are up to something. The previous banner of the Partypoker has been changed and this adds to all the speculations which are going on. In addition to the different changes which they have done in their website Bwin also recently setup their accounts on the social media websites: Facebook and Twitter.

According to PokerScout.com Ongame Network is currently ranked number 5 in the world and if PokerRoom reopens then it would be joining Ongame Network. During 1999-2009 they were a known name in the online poker world and during that time they were the first one to offer cash poker games. In addition, PokerRoom was one of the first online poker sites to offer online poker via a downloadable Mac client. In addition, since the site will be owned by Ongame, expect them to develop a mobile phone and iPhone client.

A digital locker service for music and films that have been produced by some of the major Hollywood studios and big recording companies, could be in the offing and that is to be done by none other than Amazon. This news comes from CNET who have sources in Amazon who have shared this information with them. The company’s server would store individual’s content of music, film and book collections.
It is not Amazon alone who is in this race for the digital cloud but also Google and Apple. Amazon however has a slender margin in this race and they are making all efforts to win this race. Google has started testing such a music service where users are able to store their personal stock of music and access it with any web connecting device like the mobile phone.
Mobile devices and making firms are looking on to this new process with moneyed eyes. It would sure attract a lot of customers and therefore means gain in the financial manner for both the mobile device makers as well as the service provider. One would not need to carry hard disk drives etc and just their mobile would be sufficient to download the stuff wherever they are and whenever they wish.
Amazon draws its experience from its electronic book store and its availability to subscribers with the Kindle e-book reader. The book is stored in the digital locker on behalf of the subscriber and only the subscriber has access to the book. There is also the Instant Video service from Amazon where customers buy TV shows or movies and access them whenever they wish to from wherever they wish to.

Microsoft is getting ready with its third-generation Xbox for the holiday 2013 season. The Manufacturers involved in this project expect the next generation game console to be unveiled at E3 2013, according to a report from the gaming-focused news site Develop.

It’s been a long wait — as many as eight years since the launch of Xbox 360, which caused a frenzy among gamers hoping to buy the one or two units available daily at retailers such as Walmart and the now-defunct Circuit City. After six years of strong sales, Xbox 360 unit sales slowed in the quarter ending Sept. 30. Microsoft has shipped more than 2.3 million units compared with 2.8 million during the same period as last year.

The gap between consoles has been punctuated by Microsoft’s introduction of Kincect , an add-on for Xbox players that uses the body as a controller. Most recently, Microsoft has added TV streaming to its Xbox Liveservice as it continues to position the console as the center for family entertainment.

Microsoft has yet to issue a formal statement regarding Xbox Next. “ The collection of data points to a 2013 launch for the system across all main regions, though early 2014 remains a possibility, ” Develop concluded on its web site.

SEEN THAT??? Just by the look of the phone makes me crazy. I am using my Samsung Galaxy 5 only since February and I know I still have lots to learn about this phone. The last time I had a new phone before this Samsung Galaxy 5 was like 4 or 5 years ago? And making myself own a galaxy 5 now makes me feel like a techie BUT stumbling upon this new gadget that’s way beyond the latest Iphone model and Samsung galaxies, I’m not sure if I could still cope haha. . .

Though owning an android phone today does a lot of work, I am a music lover and having the kind of phone with great battery life makes me enjoy music every time I’m out of the house, reading articles, having little conversations with mom before bed doesn’t wanna make my buy an MP3 or Ipods. I couldn’t understand the need to buy an Ipad when you have the laptop. Same way why I can’t understand myself every time I go online on phone that costs me Php 20.00 every hour when I have my unlimited internet access on my laptop.

I got my Cannon digital camera 4 years ago I thought it was a dream come true and will make me stop wanting another cam, now there’s all these DSLRs coming out that’s making all these beautiful, colorful and lively pictures. What would I want next?

If you are the proud owner of a Samsung 4G Android Phone or a Samsung Galaxy Tablet, you just may be looking at devices that may no longer be on the market in a few months. In June, Apple filed a lawsuit to sue Samsung over the Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Tab stating that the two devices were practically identical to the iPad and iPhone.
Apple’s recent lawsuit is no big surprise. With the release of the year’s latest smart phones and tablets, Apple is already fighting to win a patent over a touchscreen design that would practically put every other smart phone creator out of business, and Samsung’s, as well as HTC’s, mobile gadgets have provided the greatest rivalry for the iPhone and iPad. What is surprising is that Apple and Samsung are continuing to do business on other levels. Samsung provides flash components to Apple, and Apple still intends to use Samsung’s products in their new MacBook Air.
Samsung’s Galaxy S2 and Tab have by far been the best new releases this year, and many users have even suggested that these devices may even be better than any Apple products stating that the Galaxy S2 has been the “greatest smart phone ever created.” With accolades such as these, it is no wonder that Apple came after Samsung. It just seems that Apple is throwing a fit to maintain the top position on the leaderboard for mobile devices and to remind other smart phone creators that it is ready and willing to take action against anyone in order to do so.
Regardless, Samsung is still a company to watch for the best advances in Android based smart phones and tablets. They have the best displays and greatest features as well as some of the fastest processors on the market. With the release of the Galaxy S2 and Tab, Android users were once again reminded of why they didn’t choose Apple, and it restored the faith of many in the Android operating system. Their releases also made many consumers realize that the market was no longer Apple vs. Android, but Android vs. Android, and that the latest and best advancements would be seen in Android, not Apple.
Apple, while still the industry leader, has taken notice of this shift, and is clearly unhappy about it as it has recently become very lawsuit crazed. Could Apple become the industry second to Samsung. Good chances are that in the next couple of years, that answer will be yes. In fact, even with the upcoming release of the iPhone 5, there is a good chance that by late next year, Android phones will become the industry leaders.

This post on Dialect Magazine talks about TechCrunch Disrupt and Sonar: Tech-enabled Telepathy says:

At SxSW and again at TechCrunch Disrupt, I saw lots of fantastic social applications. At least, I think they were fantastic, it’s hard to tell without a userbase. I think I could use the LiveShare photosharer to create hilarious group photostreams after a party, but without a base of real life friends using the same app, I can’t tell.

New location-based social app Sonar.me, though, takes that into account and works as an add-on over your existing social profiles. Sonar’s goal is social telepathy, an app showing your Facebook and Twitter connections to people around you. You might walk into a party or a conference, and check your phone to see if you share any mutual friends with the strangers in the room.

Sonar’s online-offline integration also leads to a fascinating social question: What’s the etiquette around this new connection? Is it socially acceptable now to walk up to a Sonar connection, and introduce yourself?

Its amazing to know that most of the analytical programs which are designed and meant for space research are helpful to our daily chores, comforts and usage. Let us have a look at the utility of such gifted items provided by space research:
Teflon which prevents food from sticking on to cooking utensils was developed by the American Scientists for the space program.
Integrated circuits now used in motor cars, television sets, stereos and other household appliances are products of space research.
Freeze-dried food is a result of space technology. Electronic watches, pocket calculators and other devices are applications of space technology.
A structural analysis computer program developed by the American Scientists is being used to design railway tracts, automobiles, bridges and other structures.
Hospitals and industry in the West now used and store ‘liquid oxygen’ and other gases using insulation developed for space use.
Polyurethane foam installation systems, originally developed to insulate fuel tanks of the Saturn V Rocket are now used in the shipping industry. These help to contain liquefied gas besides meeting other cold storage insulation needs.
Satellites going round the earth in orbit makes easier telephone, television communication. They provide services far cheaper than the old-technology cable method. They also collect weather information, locate land and water pollution, detect underground water, oil or mineral supplies, spot crop diseases and forecast harvests.
