The Veronicas is a pop-rock band based on 23 year old twin sisters Lisa and Jessica, they are from Australia.

The song i fell in love was “Untouched” and you can watch their music video here ——> Untouched.

Jess and Lisa also co-hosted the MTV’s New Years eve bash , and they did a great job!

we at Hyperstatik have been kinda slacking off about posting for a while. (tiff* like no posts for months) yeah, well we are going to do a redesign of the site and are going to be posting more. (we have just been busy with life and shit like that.)  so the new site should be up in a few weeks… (i hope)

The EP hit the store shelves the 28th. iTunes though, did NOT put it up for sale. But I’ve got my hands on a copy so I’ll tell you what I think about it.

Now I really like Linkin Park. I think Hybrid Theory (debut album) is one of the greatest albums ever. Meteora was great too, though not as good. Their latest - Minutes to Midnight, is too slow overall in my opinion. They also just recently released “Road to Revolution” a live collection from the concert at Milton Keynes (that’s some city in England).  Well now on to the EP:

All are neat songs. There are many no-vocals just beat parts. Qwerty is harder rock than normal Linkin Park and probably my fav from this thing. So ya, I like that they did this, it’s very neat and fun, but I’m really looking forward to some serious new LP in the near future.

You guessed it, I think this sucks. But it does. (Remember to listen to the tracks I posted at the bottom of the post and see what I mean.)

Well I can’t just say I don’t like it and that’s it. So, let me explain.

Ok to start let me say I think the guitars and drums sound good in certain parts, although a little outlandish. What ruins it is the absolutely horrible vocals. It’s not that I don’t like weird sounding vocals sometimes, but this is just too much. Axl Rose belts out high-pitched screechy yell sounding crap that we are supposed to understand as singing. It doesn’t work at all. When I tried to listen to the songs my head started hurting from the sound. That’s about as best as I can describe it.

The only song I remotely could consider liking is “Better” (in that song Rose’s voice is more normal). So that’s about it. Remember to post your opinion in the comments.

Well now my opinion.

Nickelback has a lighter sound then their old stuff and I like this lighter sound in “Gotta be Somebody”, “I’d Come for You”, and “Never Gonna be Alone”.  But they don’t sound good at in all the other songs.

And they talk about sex in most of the songs.

1. Something In Your Mouth - (guy talking to gal, I think we can all imagine what that means.)
2. Burn It To The Ground - (ok song.)
3. Gotta Be Somebody - (great song!)
4. I’d Come For You - (good song that got up to #1 on the Rock iTunes list.)
5. Next Go Round - (”i wanna do it till the sun comes up.”  not a very good song.)
6. Just To Get High - (ok song, but talks about some kid stealing “just to get high”)
7. Never Gonna Be Alone - (good song)
8. Shakin’ Hands - (good music but talks about a prostitute.)
9. S.E.X. - (ok music “say yes to sex”)
10. If Today Was Your Last Day - (ok song)
11. This Afternoon - (ok song)

Ok, all the songs are slow but it works for #3, 4, 7. I don’t really like all the sex ref but that aside, I don’t like the music very much either.

I wouldn’t buy the album, but I would buy: Gotta Be Somebody, I’d Come For You, and Never Gonna be Alone.

Well I don’t know, but the song just doesn’t do anything for me. Again it’s all about personal taste, but the song is just weird. To go with the strange vocal’s of Axl Rose, we have very “modern” sounding guitars. It’s just strange to me. There is good guitar solo but it just sounds kinda weird.
