After following the forums for most of the year and reading endless stories of doom and woe about upgrading to Vista I decided it was time to take the plunge and upgrade my humble Dell Inspiron 6000 now that the SP1 version has been released. I checked out the Dell website and downloaded all the drivers that the Dell upgrade advisor said I would need, and backed up all my files in preparation for a long night of nail biting and hair pulling (if you have ever done a fresh reinstall of XP you will know exactly what I mean!). I also installed 2 gig of RAM (oo-ah that cost peanuts). As all the forums state very clearly, the upgrade package is only an upgrade from a lower version of Vista, so I knew the installation would be a fresh install. So, I inserted the disk, answered the usual questions about proceeding, and waited around 30 minutes for the entire installation just agreeing with all the recommended options. What happened next was something of an anticlimax - Vista started and my machine was ready to use. Despite all the dire warnings from the upgrade advisor about all the hardware and applications that might not work everything except the sound card did, and that worked after the wizard searched the www for the correct driver and miraculously found it - that’s a first! My verdict - full marks to Microsoft on a fab product that was absolute simplicity to install. Now my 2 year old laptop has a new lease on life.

Here’s how to do it:
Click Start the button.
Select Settings.
Click Control Panel.
Double-click on the Modems icon. performance
Select your modem.
Click the Properties button.
Click the Connections tab.
Click the Advanced button.
In the “Extra settings” field, type S36=7
Click OK to save your settings.

This will force your modem to try to stay connected at high speeds in two different ways before dropping back to an asynchronous mode with auto speed buffering.

1. Right-click an empty spot on your desktop and then click Properties.

2. Click the Screen Saver tab.
3. In the Screen saver list, click My Pictures Slideshow.
4. Click Settings to make any adjustments, such as how often the pictures should change, what size they should be, and whether you’ll use transition effects between pictures, and then click OK.

Now your screen saver is a random display of the pictures taken from your My Pictures folder.

“The Windows Installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance.” The ms website knowledge article 324516 gives 2 methods as a way of fixing this problem, but if anyone can solve this this problem without see that then i think he or she is a lucky one! However, this problem you can face for different sort of reason but if you can fix that problem then you can easily solve that. ok, let’s see how can you solve this problem

>right click your root windows installation drive i.e drive where you installed windows

> click properties at the bottom

> select security tab

> click Add and scroll down to SYSTEM account click add and click OK.

>allow Full control permission and click Apply and then OK.

This should solve your problem with windows installer.

Although, system restore has more benefit for your computer but one hurt for you. Sometime you will lost your some software that time you need again install those software.  On the other hand if you make a system restore point then you won’t lost your installed software. Moreover if you think your some of software is important then you can get them by take re-system restore.

However, now i am showing how to system restore in your computer. Well, this is a easy process- first go to your start menu, click on prgrame menu then go to accessories, click on system tools, in this menu as you can see system restore click there. I think you are already on system restore windows so choose date and time then clicl next , will be start system restore.

There are some web proxy site you can use any of them. I used to use proxy.org it is better one or if you can use other such as- anonymous proxy, smarthid and so on. Moreover, if you use personally use a softower it will eassy to hide your ip all time. Indeed, whenever you want you can do that so i think that will be great for you if you use a ip hide softower. Install the program and disable Windows Defender by going to Start, All Programs, Windows Defender. Click Tools, then Options. Scroll down, untick everything and click Save. Vista will flash up a Windows Security Alert in the System Tray. Double-click this to load the Security Center. The Malware Protection strip will be red. Click the down arrow to open it. Underneath, where it says ‘Windows Defender is turned off’, click ‘Show me my available options’ then select ‘I have an antispyware program that I’ll monitor myself’.
