In this iCore post, I would like to showcase a mind blowing collection of master pieces of an artist named Gavin Worth. These are sculptures made out of nothing but black steel wires. By bending wire into freestanding line drawings, the artist creates unique sculptures.

Gavin Worth was born in Zimbabwe and lived in San Francisco for 8 years, where he first became interested in wire sculpture after seeing an exhibit on Calder at the SFMoma. His abstract 3D sculptures would become drawing-like images when viewed from the right angle. Here are some of his master piece sculptures:

Most of the desktop wallpapers these days are either photoshopped or 3d designs, but there are a few that are original photographs and “Bliss” is one of them.

The scenic beauty of the wallpaper is so magnificent that its hard to believe it is a real photograph. It was taken by Charles O’Rear, a former National Geographic magazine photographer. In fact it is the most iconic photographs ever taken and also the second most expensive photo ever licensed.

Charles O’Rear took this photo while walking from Napa, California, to San Francisco to visit his girlfriend. He was stunned by the beauty of the vineyard that he passed along the way. It was a January, and the garden green looked really good so He decided to stop the journey and take pictures before continuing.

Men who worked for 25 years for National Geographic was so impressed with the blend of vineyards stretch of green and blue California sky with white clouds parade.

One day he got a call from the Corbis photo agency reporting that Microsoft wants his original photo. O’Rear realized that something extraordinary had happened. And that’s how it got into the hands of the tech giant Microsoft.

Those beautiful rolling hills are no longer green and grassy. Since then they have been turned into a vineyard. Quite a far cry from the relaxing view that it originally had.

I’ve been searching all over web for the last few weeks to find an app with which i can finally use my iPhone as a flashdrive when connected to a PC. Of course there were many magnificent apps but unfortunately they were not for free and also need to follow a lot of installation procedures and steps just to transfer a file to & from PC using iPhone.

Since my phone was not jailbroken I didn’t want to risk downloading apps from places other than iTunes. But by the time I read the description of the last app in iTunes, I lost hope and started googling. BOOM!!! Thats when I hit upon this magnificent yet simple software - iFunbox.

Its just a 7Mb file which doesn’t require any installation, just copy the executable file to your PC and you have a software to explore your iPhone in place of HUGE and BULKY iTunes like softwares. It was just a software too good to be true in this world, works like a charm, no heavy requirments and best of all its FREE!!!
