It is simple you know, I see Icompositions as a musical social network, so yes... you scratch my back I scratch yours probably works here as well.

Of course being nice to people and still being honest while encouraging them helps too.

I love music so for me its all good you know, I barely play the guitar but am having allot of fun with the loops at the moment.

It is amazing what you can do with Technology these days.

Yeah, Davis was the one that said to play the notes that aren't there, so he may have said that too.

But only Monk was known for playing the wrong notes so right which was an art within itself If Davis said it he got it from Monk ha ha ha

This is a very interesting topic because I thought about changing some glaringly obvious errors in "1968" like the opening of the Mic a little too early in the beginning of the piece and the most obvious 1 minute of pure silence that I didn't catch in Garageband.

But the more I thought about it, after discovering it yesterday, the more I said to myself, You know what? It is what it is. Cindy Crawford never got rid of the mole; Madonna and Dave Letterman never got rid of the gap in the teeth; Aaron Neville sports that keloid and life goes on.

I now think it's a pretty good idea to just make a second version if you discovered the error after the comments are made. I find it a learning experience.

This is the first time I recall plugging one of my pieces here but I am pleased enough with how this turned out I thought I'd share my enthusiasm with you.

Ghost Wharf originally began last May as an improvised keyboard "guitar" solo over the "Tomorrow Never Knows" beat I programmed in MIDI.

More recently, leaving the improvisation mostly intact, I decided to give the music a different arrangement -

I agree. I usually just archive previous versions of songs. The comments for them remain on the original song page if I want to refer to them.
If we were to just update song files, depending on what changes occurred, the comment may no longer be applicable and could be misleading. I've sometimes completely re-arranged music between the original sketch and later versions. It wouldn't be fair to the commenter on the metal version of song X to have her comment attached to the ultimate merengue arrangement of song X. It could also be confusing to the later readers of her comment.
