I have long loved this track...as a child it was due to (like it was for so many others) the ambivalent storytelling that left one wondering...why did he jump?
As my appreciation for music grew and particularly my love of blues, my love for this classic never waned.
Chris has taken the blues influence to another level with his music, and it was my absolute pleasure to work with him on this. Chris as always thank you for putting up with me xx

Back in the late 60's Cheatin' songs were big as were soul songs and this is one of them. Clarence Carter was the singer/songwriter on this song. I have done this song for years and thought it would be a piece-of-cake. Not so! My voice for one thing is shot and it was hard to translate the song without losing the essence of it's groove. I kept at it and I hope you like it after all.

Pharmakeus Chris reached out to me a few days ago with a concern that perhaps i was going through some sort of artist crisis (hence my short songs) and i reassured him i was doing fine. i thanked him for reaching out to me (i mean, come on, how nice is that?!?!) told him i would write a song for him to lay down a guitar track on. i set out right away to write the most ANGST filled song i could (just because i thought it would be funny!!!) and this is what i came up with...

it was really tailored to fit his guitar sound, and i think the marriage is quite perfect...ye, that's his guitar SCREAMING in the bridge...and in honor of his efforts i have broken the cardinal rule of my last set of compositions. i have allowed this song to go on for 17 seconds beyond my one minute rule...so THERE!!!! no more complaints about my songs being too short!!!!

Phase I-Partying down-here i took an organ loop and stretched the hell out of it--like half speed. I put my drums and bass over it w/various other sounds.
i fade all the sounds except the drums and bass to lead into...

Phase II-Big Regrets-the party-er recuperates. This is just me and my friend, Eddie and NO loop.
me: same bass, different effect.
Eddie/Dim Witness: all synth noodlings (tho i mangled one or two parts in the background).

Phase III-Sam puttering in the "studio." ???

Ph.I:
me-bass, programmed drums. i tried to "pop n snap" on the bass but couldn't pop very well, so i just snapped all the way thru.
Ph.II:
Me: i play the same bass from Ph.I, but automated effects in this part.
Eddie-all synth noodlings (tho i mangled one or two in the bkgnd). THnks Eddie!
Ph.III-???
me: same bass w/no effects and guitar.

A bagatelle is a short piece of music, typically for the piano, and usually of a light, mellow character. The name bagatelle literally means a "trifle", as a reference to the innocent character of the piece.

After a bit of a compositional break, I wrote these five movements in January 2012. Unfortunately, due to file size upload limitations at iCompositions(.wav file is 141 Mb at 1411 kps, and .mp3 is 32 Mb at 320 kps), I can't upload here the entire five movements as they are intended to be heard.

This is just a short sample from movement three.

However, you can listen to the entire five movements complete at Bandcamp.com recorded as a .wav file at 1411 kps. I've enabled the 320 kps .mp3 (and other file formats) as a free download there should you want to grab a copy of the entire piece.

I loved the recent Woody Allen film "Midnight in Paris" - a glorious time travel affair back to the 1920s, with all its glamour, fun and pathos, set in the beautiful French city. Here's my swingy, jazzy take on the movie - it's in no way meant to be an authentic jazz number (not a style of music I know at all, really), but I hope you enjoy it nevertheless.

John Coltrane composition and tribute. I dont share Coltrane's faith yet I feel there is some kind of connection between meditating/praying and creating art. Some of the all time greats like Bach or Coltrane knew how to get that idea across in a very compelling way.This song was also a good vehicle for blasting away on different instruments.

A fast-paced, jaunty variation on a theme of Greensleeves. The original is a waltz, in 3/4 time, but I've done my variants on a 4/4 time. I hope you enjoy the result. It's one of my all-time favourite English folksongs: timeless, classic and deeply romantic.

I did this song a few weeks ago and then my dear friend Sven asked me if he could remix the track. I was honored (of course) and here it is.

He totally transformed it into a maxi single remix with a very cool new arrangement and new sounds. His daughter is also a star as she's added her voice to this piece.

I think most people feel like the guy in this song sometimes. Redid this one I recorded a week ago after my earache finally cleared up, 23 tracks and all. Tried to create the momentum like a tain as the song develops.

I left the other one posted for anyone who cares to listen to the difference.

Yes Jibes was RIGHT!I overlooked the reverb on the sax! OK had to go in and remove the effect so now it sounds uniform. Some nice blues one more time before I go to work on another tune. SG special used on both rhythm and lead......I also played electric bass and MIDI sax. Drum track was a sliced and diced loop staggered on 2 tracks.

Played and singing beautifully
But the sound on the track do not sound so good, all the sound came from the left channel only.
So I decided to help her a bit and fix the sound.

She never put up the remix, but I like the song, and the performance is so good that she deserves that you listen to it.
