This is a song Nels sent me to do.When I first heard it I loved it.Nels suggested Anto for the lead,but I was way ahead of him on that one,because I just finished a song with Anto and knew he would be an excellent choice.I truly appreciate working with these two fine gentlemen and outstanding artist's,It was a wonderful musical journey.This song is about two people that see each other every day and know that if they were sexually involved it would be magic.Theres only one problem.....she or he's with some else, and so are you.Things being as they are,all they can do is check each other out.

"Autumn Leaves" is a much-recorded popular song. Originally a 1945 French song "Les feuilles mortes" with music by Joseph Kosma and lyrics by poet Jacques Pr�vert, the American songwriter Johnny Mercer wrote English lyrics in 1947. Jo Stafford was among the first to perform this version. Autumn Leaves became a pop standard and a jazz standard in both languages, both as an instrumental and with a singer.
The film Autumn Leaves (1956) starring Joan Crawford featured the song, as sung by Nat King Cole over the title sequence. The French songwriter Serge Gainsbourg paid tribute to this song in his own song "La chanson de Pr�vert".
One of the most referred-to instrumental versions of this song is the one on the Cannonball Adderley album called "Somethin' Else" released in 1958, whose personnel included Miles Davis on trumpet and Art Blakey on drums.

I've always loved this song.

Inspirated by a still now playing Dutch commercial, i thought it would be nice to make my own...
Originally from Ronald and Ruby (real names Beverly Ross and Lee Morris), a racially mixed duo, an unusual sight in the USA in the 50's. "Lollipop" was their only hit as a duo. Later in the UK, this was the Chordettes biggest ever hit. A rival version by the UK vocal group The Mudlarks did better - peaking at #2.

Minimal house...the idea was to set up a rhythm and jam to it with unusual instruments not associated with house, so this boarders on ambient as well, I think in the end it has a decided Euro feel to it, in a slightly retro way..anyway it is what it is a slow groove tune for slow dancing...

Waffly version: It's that time of year again... I've actually been hard at work on an album this year, which is close to being ready but not quite there yet, which goes some way to explaining why haven't uploaded anything since last Christmas. But I didn't want to let a whole year go by without any apparent activity at all, so I decided to throw this together very quickly just for giggles. Originally I was going to try a different song, but then I heard herrsolera's excellent Christmas medley, which amongst other things included the tune I was going to use, and decided not to compete with him.

The track was mostly done when my girlfriend Maple came along to listen to it and started pointing out problematic areas in the mix. This developed into a kind of 'producer' role, with Maple also adding the final layer in the last section, so we're uploading this as a collaboration.

This was my first 'put together' the night I downloaded Mixcraft.. Had no idea what I was doing ( still don't) This piece is mostly instrumental with harp, slide guitar, percussion..just a few sections of me and the Hooligans trying to 'channel' Bo Diddley, one of my favorite r&b artists. Being inexperienced, I just kept the instrumentation centered. When I post Part 2, there will be an improvement. During my trial period with the software, I was able to create instrumentals of several genres as well as backing for my lyrics.

With all the grief that I've been waltzing with these past two years it's nice to escape with the help of my collaborators. been down with the flu (& stuck in the house) the last few days, with nothing better to do I decided to do a house remix of Kate's tune (which she sang & composed). The title literally means "All Sea", I'm not sure if that's correct though.
you will notice some hiss in the vocals & a little white noise in the background w/c I couldnt clean up. some clipping too. (*sigh*) the vocal track contained both the lead & backing vocals which ideally should not be the case. anyway, hope you guys enjoy.

I think back to the days of my youth..where on Christmas Eve my father would tell us the story of the Nativity.....My Dad spent many a year running from his strict Pentecostal Christian upbringing.. and while he gave us the choice to believe or disbelieve....He wanted us to know the meaning behind Christmas... when I get in a tizzy over money this time of year....I see with such clarity.. those long ago Christmas eve's that even while there was little under the tree...I was truly blessed because I had the love of my family... the most precious gift!

Garni sent me a piece of music to improvise on and this is the result - I improvised the vocals and lyrics in a single pass through (his music really inspired me) and then I improvised a choir track to fill in some harmonies I heard in my head. The thing I'm most proud of is that he liked my mix!!! Coming from him, that's high praise. I really love the lyrics on this so, if you don't follow them easily by ear, please take a look at the lyrics section...? Thanks! Hope you enjoy it.

When I first heard this backing I immediately thought of Norah Jones. Jeff's backing has inspired a lot of people...Claypotts, Taylormade, Fatchance...just to name a few. I was inspired enough to want to try and write lyrics and have a go at my first arrangement.
It is a very average attempt compared to the other fantastic people that have done versions of this track...but like I said the music inspired me and I decided to have a go.
At first I only wanted to do it to prove I could and the only people to hear were to be J0j0 who created such a great backing. But Jeff asked me to upload it if for no other reason than to challenge others in the same position as me...to just have a go.
