i felt like mixing again and pulled out an oldie to revamp. Nebula turned out to be too much of a pain to work with, so i ditched it on this one and used my regular plugs.

this was an Indian flavored song that Imadesenta helped me out with on tablas, everything else is played by me. this is only one of two songs i've ever played lead guitar on and when you hear it, you'll know why! i just get others for that with Gadzooks as one of my top favorites. if i EVER come up with a new song, i'll try some other icomp'rs.

Imadesentana: tablas
Me: bass, guitars, keys, a thousand vocals and Addictive drums programming--made them dirty and mono.
Sitar sounds are EMM Knagalis synth played on my old, old Oxygen8.

I finally decided to upload this very pompous piece after wondering a long time if it was worth it... The main theme is a reminiscence of something I found a long time ago when I was young (I am still young in my mind but not on my skull).

When you work too much on a piece, you do not know if it's good or not anymore So I give this piece to the judgment of all my dear friends around.

Mary and me love the Fab four a lot.
We never did together a song in dedication to one of the most famous pop band of the twentieth century. It's done now !

An absolutely beautiful piece of music that I first heard years ago, when I was watching "This is England" - a gritty film at odds with this delicate melody from Ludovico Einaudi. I've resisted arranging it, as I would have loved to have composed it - but finally I could resist no longer.

The title means "Not of this World".

Here's a lovely song with an air of sad contemplation and fears of war, that I'm sure we all feel.
It was written, played and mixed by' Thetau' (Russ) who messaged me to ask if I would like to sing it and was also kind enough to alter the key quite a few times too, to accommodate my seemingly ever lessening vocal range.
Russ describes this song as a 'Civil War ballad 'and I'm sure the plaintive and atmospheric melody will stay with you, as it has with me; I keep finding myself humming it as I go about my day.

This Leonard Cohen Cover was originally recorded in Logic. I transferred the stems to Ableton Live, converting my original audio guitar part to piano midi using Live's new audio to midi feature ( I couldn't have played the piano live!)..
Do enjoy...such a fine song...I hope I haven't destroyed it!

National Anthem - in B - recent rendition and performance . . .

The second part is a bridge and then an acoustic "Star Spangled Banner" in more a renaissance style.

Tuned = low D, G, D, G, B, E . . .

well i have this 1942 Lapsteel Slide guitar - which - hey i put some new parts onto it -
it is tuned differently . . . . somewhat - than a conventional guitar -
i use it here as a solo instrument - taking the melodic line - for a while -

three minutes long - - -

i used a bent backwards stainless steel soup spoon to play this first half - on the "Epitome" Slide Lapsteel.

you can also use a spark plug socket or any number of conventional slides sold in music stores -

At fist i toyed around with using piano as a back-up -
' was not right . . . tried Orchestra - ' was not right sounding, ' tried cello = ' did not sound right either . . .

- so i wound up using a little flute and acoustic guitar . . .

it has a distinctive 'cheetah / cracked / crinkle' black and gold paint job.

I honestly found this instrument in the dumpster
by the door of the underground parking . . . in a crappy old case. It has 27 frets which are usually used for guidance purposes but you can slide higher . . . .
and you can get tone by bearing down to the fingerboard with your fingers like a regular guitar as well but then the intonation sharps - as the strings are set high.

As one can tell - i am a newbee at this instrument -
having just first tried it 10 days ago - trying to stop twangs - implement some vibrato and tremolo - find the optimum string diameters etc.

I wanted to do something different and did so many builds for the harmonies on this, it's almost a Phil Spector. I wanted to do an original song for my Birthday this year, but I was stuck for lyrics, so borrowed them from a previous reggae song I did a couple of years ago..... and this is how it turned out.... it's different alright ha ha.
