I just love cake recipes where you never have to turn the oven on.  Smitten Kitchen’s chocolate icebox cake caught my eye while Flickr-ing one night. No-bake and with only a few required ingredients (store-bought cookies, whipped cream and chocolate shavings), this is perfect for noobs like me. I’m gonna have to try the mini-version soon.

And you my dears, do you also see ice box cakes in your future?

Now this is a craft I can see myself doing in the near future! Plain glass vases or candle holders get an easy and inexpensive makeover with just a simple wrap of natural handmade paper (from cucumbers to kohlrabi, there’s endless possibilities!).  Check out the tutorial from Natural Home Magazine, found via Mod Podge Rocks.

Seeing these fantastic pretties from Float Paperie (uh, while DIYdreaming of our holiday cards this year), I got reminded of one of my fave theatre marquee-looking fonts– the wonderful Budimo Jiggler font by Ray Larabie. Why yes, you can download it for FREE. Enjoy!
