Shinhwa, new models for Chicken Mania

Korea's long-lasting idol group Shinhwa (神话; 神話), who was chosen as the new CF model (replacing f(x) ) for fried chicken franchise brand "Chicken Mania", recently finished their photo shoot in October 2012 for the company's special-edition 2013 calendar that will be issued out to chicken lovers who order from their restaurants from December 3rd until the calendars run out of stock.

Each member was given a different concept during the shoot, such as Sweet Guy, Confession Man, Autumn Man, and New Year’s Greetings.

According to a staff member on set, the six members brought a cheerful and passionate atmosphere during the photo shoot that can’t be seen with younger idol groups.

Chicken Mania will be starting a new brand campaign with Shinhwa called "A Delicious Legend, the Shinhwa of Chicken" with new dishes to be launched on the menu.

Hyun-a and Psy dominate YouTube music chart

4Minute's Hyun-a, best known for her cameo in Psy's "Gangnam Style" music video, is now seeing her own YouTube video go viral.

A clip of her latest single "Ice Cream" has amassed more than 20 million views just 10 days after its release.

Given that Psy's viral hit only chalked up 10 million views in 19 days, Hyun-a's agency is expecting big things from the girl group member's latest solo endeavor.

On YouTube charts as of yesterday, the title track from Hyun-a's new album "Melting" was the second- most-viewed video in the music category on YouTube behind Psy's "Gangnam Style".

The third-place video on the chart is the alternate version of "Gangnam Style" featuring both first- and second-place artists, with Hyun-a playing a bigger role.

Thus, the top three places on YouTube are dominated by the K-pop acts, besting Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift.

Meanwhile, in just over three months, "Gangnam Style" has become the second-most-viewed video in the history of YouTube, behind Justin Bieber's "Baby".

Episode 17 of "NarutoSD: Rock Lee no Seishun Full-Power Ninden" (24 July 2012, Tuesday) is simply awesome! Although Naruto has no screen time except for the last scene, it's still packed with action, melodrama, humour, love, horror... with performances by Rock and the rest of his pals, just to promote upcoming "Naruto Movie: Road To Ninja" which shows in theater from 28 July 2012 in Japan.

最近我异常地迷上了一部台湾偶像剧。所谓异常，意思是，一向不屑台湾偶像剧的我一如反常，竟然会看，甚至于迷恋! 到底是哪部剧集虏获了我的芳心呢？那就是。。。（鼓声~）

话说，有一天，我闷得发荒，就查阅了一下 www.mysoju.com 网站，看有什么可看的连续剧。Skip-Beat! 这英文名立即吸引了我的目光。查看之下才知道这原来是一部改编自日本同名畅销漫画的台湾偶像剧。但特别的是两位男主角都是 Super Junior 成员，Choi Si Won 始源和 Lee Dong Hae 李东海。只有女主角 Ivy Chen 陈意涵和 Bianca Bai 白歆惠才是台湾艺人。我想，既然是改编自日本著名漫画，剧情一定不会go wrong吧。

一开始的印象是，女主角好夸张，但挺可爱的。演得够放。但导演方面，节奏有点怪。但随着剧情的演进，以及男主角始源和东海的出现，剧情越来越精彩和有意思。我也逐渐看到女主角陈意涵的演技实力。她把“宮囍”的角色（漫画中的 Kyoko Mogami / 最上キョーコ / Mogami Kyōko）演得活灵活现，杀气中带点傻气，纯真中充满邪恶的念头乱窜，有着非常矛盾和复杂的内心。她在戏中，有各种不同的诠释，时而感性、时而疯狂、时而邪恶、时而纯真、时而凶巴巴、时而甜蜜蜜。想不到拥有玉女外形的她竟然能诠释地这么放，这么好。她开始变成我的偶像了呢。我还为了看她看了她的成名之作《痞子英雄》（Black & White）。没错，我不是因为赵又廷或是仔仔，而是为了陈意涵才看这部戏的。:) 但这部所谓的年度大剧不怎么样，竟然还能摘下年度最佳剧情，还真是匪夷所思。

再来是 Super Junior or Super Junior M 的成员：崔始源和李东海。我从未看过东海演的戏。这回算是头一遭。东海真是越来越帅了! 他演坏男孩，也算当之无愧吧! 而始源，我看过他和蔡琳在《Oh! My Lady 愛你喲》（오! 마이레이디）韩剧中的演技：平凡。但在《华丽的挑战》中，不知道是不是因为与意涵之间的化学作用的催化下，他显得特别有魅力，导致我忍不住继续看完没看完的《Oh! My Lady》。嘿嘿~

我目前已看到第 13集了，正心痒痒地等着看第 14 集! 这集精彩啦，敦贺莲和宮囍私下彩排美月与嘉月之间的对手戏时，环抱了宮囍，还问她：“你接过吻吗？” 宮囍说没有，他就问她：“要我教你吗？” 噢，太浪漫了! 他们有真的吻吗？我迫不及待看这一集啊!

Lee Joon-ki (李准基) has just completed his mandatory military service yesterday on Feb. 16.

Two years ago, Lee Joon-ki entered the Nonsan Training Base in the South on the 3rd of May 2010 and served duty at the Public Relations department in the Department of Defense.

Yesterday, Lee Joon-ki (30) was discharged. His management IMX announced, "Lee Joon-ki will be greeting fans who have waited for him for so long in front of the Yongsan Department of Defense this morning at 8AM.

There will be about 1,500 fans, including some from China and Japan, waiting for him in the "Reunion JG" event being held at Sangmyeong University Art Center at 3PM. It will be a one-hour event. Tickets for the event went on sale on Jan. 10 and sold out in one minute.

IMX said, "There have been many questions from foreign and Korean fans about his future plans. He should land with a good project soon".

Lee Joon-ki rose to stardom in the 2005 movie "The King and the Clown" and starred in dramas like "Iljimae", "Time Between Dog and Wolf - Drama" and "My Girl".

Lee Joon-ki just came back and his agency already has a jam-packed scheduled prepared for him.

First, Lee will release a new album in Japan next month, betting that his popularity there outlasted his military service.Titled "Deucer", the album is comprised of four new songs selected by the entertainer."The new single will mark the second phase of my life after conscription", Lee said.

"The title track 'Together' encapsulates the feeling of optimism that I have about the future".

Later in the month, Lee will travel to Japan and hold fan meetings there from March 16 to 19.

He will also hold promotional events for the new album.

Shinhwa confirmed their 10th Album & Comeback Concerts in March 2012

Finally, all the five members of Shinhwa have come together (after their discharge from military service) to officially begin preparations for their comeback in March 2012. Woot~

After a four-year hiatus, Eric Mun, Kim Dong Wan, Lee Min Woo, Shin Hye Sung, Jun Jin and Andy Lee are currently preparing to release their 10th album in early March, and they will also be holding concerts in celebration of their 14th anniversary on March 24th & 25th. Travelers to Korea don't miss them!

The five big boys will also be holding their 10-city Asia tour right after that, that includes China, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan. On the 27th, the organisers for Shinhwa Taiwan Concert released the ticket pricing for the concert, with the most expensive costing 6600 NTD (appx. 240 thousand Won; appx. 280 SGD), resulting it being the most expensive concert ticket in 2012 till date. Shinhwa will be holding "Shinhwa 2012 Asia Tour - Taipei" (神話2012亞洲巡演台北站) concert on 12th May 2012 at TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall. Ticket sales has commenced on 29th Jan 12pm. Last year, Shinhwa Company was established to maintain a systematic and independent activity for the Shinhwa as a group. In July 1, 2011 Shinhwa became the first pop group as a substantial shareholder, president of their own company in the Korean music industry history. Shinhwa Company is run by leader Eric as of now, however, after release of Min-Woo Lee from Korean mandatory military service in the February 2012, Min Woo and Eric will be co-representative to lead the entire activities expected to take in the Shinhwa Company.

Shinhwa Company just launched their official website (http://www.shinhwacompany.co.kr/) on February 1st. Along with a Shinhwa logo introduction (watch 1st trailer below), the boys also included a teaser for their upcoming 2012 concerts (watch 2nd trailer below). “Just like we have for the past ten years, we will continue to keep our promise with our fans,” they said in the footage. “10 years, 20 years from now, we will not disband.”

FT Island's Asian tour ends with crowds screaming for more

FT Island wowed fans in Malaysia and Singapore over the weekend when they performed at the Max Pavilion in Singapore and Stadium Negara in Malaysia in front of screaming crowds.

The boy band took to the stage and sang hit songs such as "I Hope", "Hello Hello", "Love Love Love" and "Flower Rock".

"It feels so great to perform for our fans in Malaysia and Singapore. We were so happy to meet with them all. Thanks to everyone who came", the band said after the concert.

The five-member band is currently one of the hottest K-pop acts in China, Korea and Japan. Its members won two awards at the 26th annual Golden Disk Awards on Thursday in Osaka, Japan. They were presented with the "Fun & Fearless Musician" award as well as the "Rock" award.

Leader Lee Hong-gi was the host of the show.

The band is set to release an album in early February and will participate in promotional activities nationwide.

Japan International Star Tatsuya Fujiwara To Promote 'KAIJI 2' in Singapore from 10 to 13 Nov 2011

It's been announced on 6th September 2011 in Singapore that, one of Japan’s most recognized international star Tatsuya Fujiwara (藤原竜也) will be coming to Singapore to promote his upcoming new movie KAIJI 2 . This is the first time Tatsuya Fujiwara is coming to Singapore for a movie promotion.

Tatsuya Fujiwara will be joined by 200 lucky Japanese fans from his fan club in Japan and crew from renowned Japanese TV station, NTV in Singapore from 10th to 13th November 2011.

The press conference will be held on Friday, 11th November 2011 where the star will field questions from our Singapore media regarding his role in the movie.

The movie is a sequel of KAIJI: THE ULTIMATE GAMBLER (released in Singapore on 11 March 2010) and also an adaptation based on Noboyuki Fukumoto’s hit manga series.

Katy Perry shot a segment for Sesame Street -- which was supposed to air on New Year's Eve -- in which she sings a cleaned-up version of her song, "Hot N Cold" with Elmo.

The song made its way to YouTube Monday and racked up nearly a million views. But some parents started complaining her cleavage was too front and center. We've learned producers have decided not to air the song on the show.

Among the parental comments:

-- "You can practically see her t*ts. That's some wonderful children's programming."

-- "they're gonna have to rename it cleavage avenue"

-- "my kid wants milk now"

The fact is ... what looks like Katy's bare chest is actually flesh-colored mesh that covers her chest all the way up to her neck.

Cecilia Cheung Saves a Girl from Committing Suicide

She might be tired from her hectic filming schedule, but Cecilia Cheung (张柏芝) does not hesitate when doing good deeds.

The actress, who is currently filming in Inner Mongolia, one day was resting in her hotel room during her break, when she discovered a girl outside the hotel window. She saw the girl standing on top of a building, trying to commit suicide.

Cecilia immediately took a taxi to the building along with her assistant. When they arrived, her assistant asked the taxi driver for help, and the taxi driver told the security guard to call the police. Police arrived in time and pulled the girl back from the edge of the building.

The 30 year old's quick actions saved a life, and that is not the only good thing she has been doing. She once traveled back and forth from Hong Kong to Taiwan to visit a 15-year-old girl with cancer. Unfortunately, the girl passed away this month, left Cecilia having some deeper thoughts about life.

"Life is precious, and I hope everyone can cherish it. Some people don't even have a chance to live. Those who are able to live, must live it well. Don't give it up that easily."

To demonstrate her quick wits and kindness, they even drew a comic of how she saved the life of the girl.

More than 80 per cent of tickets to Jacky Cheung's 1/2 Century Tour - Singapore concerts at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in August have been sold. To accommodate the over-whelming response, the organizers have added another show.

Fans can buy tickets for the new Aug 28 date via Sistic from Thursday, 27 January 2011.
