iLiver is a useful, well designed free app for those who are interested in liver disease. Its pure focus on this can be a drawback and there are certainly one or two areas of improvement. Despite this, it is still a first-rate app and worth downloading.

FCC’s decision opens up frequencies for such networks, allowing patients to rid themselves of some of the wires that presently connect them to medical monitors. This app helps to allows a practitioner with a basic knowledge of Spanish in an emergency setting to quickly assess a potentially critical patient when an interpreter is not rapidly available.

FCC to allocate spectrum for wireless medical sensors, could open up a large new market

In 2010, the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) issued its first national broadband plan, which included a proposal for a “medical body area network” (MBAN). Specific frequencies would be assigned for medical wireless monitoring. In May, 2012, FCC issued proposed rules for these MBAN systems, providing a platform for wirelessly networking patient sensors. After initially raising concerns about radio interference, the Aerospace and Flight Test Radio Coordinating Counsel (AFTRCC) appears now to be collaborating with health institutions to allow spectrum allocation for MBANs, an important and positive development.
