How to create a smiley logo

Here you will learn how to create a smiley logo.

Step 1: First of all start with a new 350 by 350px white document.
Step 2: Create a new layer and fill it with #e2e2e2 using the paint bucket tool.

Step 3: Using the Rounded rectangle tool (or simply press U) create a rectangle with a radius of 21px holding shift down to create a square shape.

Step 4: Press on the layer thumbnail and change the color to #aeff00.
Step 5: Right click on the layer with the shape and select Blending Options, apply the following settings:

You should now have something like this:

Step 6: Using the text tool add your own text. To rotate the text after appling it, press Ctrl + T to access the transformation tool.

Step 7: Add the folowing settings to the layer (Right click on the layer and select Blending Options):

Color masking, a great thing you can do in Adobe Photoshop. I took a screenshot of http://trainmephotoshop.com and "blackenize" it, then I "deleted" some of the black standing over the design, simple and nice !

Creating a domino card

In this tutorial I will show you how to create a nice domino card (take a look at the end of the tutorial!)

Start off by creating a new document 400px x 400px with a white background.

Get the rounded rectangle tool and make a rounded rectangle with a radius of 5px as in the image below:

Next, apply the layer settings to the layer we’ve just made creating the rectangle (right click on the layer > blending options):

After applying the layer settings you should have something like this:

Now get the line tool and using the next color, #262626, create a line in the middle of the card and apply the same layer settings we used before. You should have something like this:

Next go to filter blur, Gaussian blur and apply a blur of 2,5 or what goes for you. You would also consider deleting some blur that got over the picture background using the Eraser tool.

You should now have something like this:

Next, using the ellipse tool create some white dots as in the image below, rasterize and marge all the layers containing dots (to make this: select the layers using the SHIFT key and right click on them, rasterize and marge):

Apply the next layer settings to the layer with the dots:

You should now have something like this:

Set #262626 as the foreground color and black as the background color, take the gradient tool and set it as in the image below:

CTRL + Click on the layer with the card, this will make a selection of it, play with the gradient tool and with the layer opacity until you get this:

In this tutorial I will show you how to create a nice and unique logo

Start off by creating a new document 450px*450px.

Set the foreground color to fff000 and with the paint bucket tool create a new layer and fill it with the color.

Next using ffb400 as the color create a rounded rectangle with a radius of 17px.

With f2c795 create a custom shape.

You should now have something like this:

Apply the next blending options to the rectangle:

And apply those settings to the shape:

I finished adding a reflection and this is my outcome:

In this tutorial I will show you how to create a nice hate it design

Start off by creating a new 400px x 400px document.

Using the rounder rectangle tool set to a radius of 17px, create a new rectangle as in the image below:

Lower the opacity of the layer down to 53%, apply the next settings to the layer:

You should now have something like this:

CTRL +Click on the shape (in the layers palette), this will make a selection of our rectangle. Create a new layer and fill it with white. Apply the next settings to the white rectangle layer:

You should now have something like this:

CTRL + Click again on the rectangle shape to make a selection of it. Create a new layer and with the foreground color set to white and the background color set to black get the gradient tool and play with it until you get something like this:

Next with the custom shape tool I made a flame with black and a “No symbol” with 99221e as the color.

You should have this:

After this I added the layer settings used before to the rectangle (the drop shadow with an opacity of 75%), you should have something like this (Lower the opacity of the fire shape to 64% and of the No sign to 70%. ):

Create a new layer and with the gradient tool set to black to white mode and radial gradient apply a gradient to a single row selection made using the single row selection tool. I also added some text and a reflection, enjoy!

Creating a multiple coating logo

In this tutorial I will show you a great multiple coating technique for you designs.

Let’s start off by creating a new 450px x 450px document. Using the Rounded rectangle tool I’ve created a rectangle with 4b4949 set as the foreground color. I have deleted a part of it and created a new rectangle with the next color d3df11. You should have something like this:

Apply the next settings:

You should have something like this:

Now the crazy part, the multiple coating. CTRL + Click on the layer we applied the layer settings. This will make a selection of the rectangles. Go to select > modify > expand and chose a value (2px will be ok). Create a new layer and fill it with d3df11. Apply the next settings we used before. Take the eraser tool and start deleting from the coat. You should have something like this:

I added a reflection and a text and I hope you like it:

Creating a nice spade desing

In this tutorial I will show you how to create a nice design of a spade.

The pattern: To create a pattern we will create a new 3px x 3px new document with a transparent background. Zoom in to 1600% .Using the pencil set to 1px make 3 pixels as in the image below:

Go to edit > define pattern > set the name and press ok

Now let’s create the spade. Create a new document 400px x 400px.

Create a new layer and with the gradient tool set to black to transparent make a gradient from up to down. Reduce the layer opacity to 56%, you should have something like this:
Using the custom shape tool set to spade card and the foreground color set to 484747 create a spade as in the image below:

Apply the next layer styles (right click on the layer > blending options):

You should now have something like this:

Now duplicate the layer 3 times (right click on the layer > duplicate layer). You should now have 1 original spade and another 3 layer containing the same spade. Thos 3 layer we are going to rasterize and flip them vertical. To rasterzite the layer press right click on the layer > rasterize type and to flip it vertical go to Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical.

One of the spade move it as in the image below (set the opacity of the layer to 35%):

Than the second duplicated layer move it as in the image below (the opacity is also 35%):

The last spade move it just below our original made one. Set the opacity to 45%.

Creating a nice magician hat

In this tutorial I will show you how to create a magician hat.

Start off by creating a new 400px x 400px document. Fill the background with ffc600 (To fill the background just set the foreground color to ffc600 and get the paint bucket tool, press on the canvas.)

Now we will create a magician hat, here is how to:

Using the rectangle tool and changing the foreground colors, follow the steps in the image below to create the hat:

Rasterize and marge all the layers so you will have only one layer with the hat. Apply the next settings to the hat:

You should have something like this:

Ctrl + Click on the image of the layer with the hat (in the layers palette). This will make a selection of the hat. With the elliptical marquee tool set to substract from selection make a selection of the right part. Create a new layer and fill it with white. You should have something like this:

Apply the next settings to our layer with the white shine, after this reduce the opacity to 23%:
