Some of the best results in VIEW Magazine are the interactive articles/features. In the sixth and latest issue of VIEW, Nate Larson and Marni Shindelman's geolocation photography project becomes an interactive project in our magazine. In this project the artists use publicly available embedded GPS information in Twitter updates to track the locations of user posts and make photographs to mark the location in the real world. Each of these photographs is taken on the site of the update and paired with the originating text. In VIEW Magazine the text is hidden until the user taps the twitter icon. The text then appears over the image in a large font size, creating a bold new visual image. The artists select texts that reveal something about the personal nature of the users' lives or the national climate, while also examining the relationship to physical space and the ways in which it influences online presence.

Another interactive project in this issue is Chris Dorley Brown's project "Spot the Difference". Chris took a photo at the same location (and sometime of the same people) over the span of nine to thirteen years. With a click of a button on the iPad or iPhone the viewer can see the two different photos of the same location with its varied degree of change, from subtle to extreme.

Other projects show views of places that fade often too quickly from the news. A good example of that is Toshiya Watanabe's personal photos of his abandoned home in Fukushima, Japan which he was able to visit 18 Months after the earthquake and nuclear disaster that followed.

With issue six we switched the system we publish VIEW Magazine with to a more robust publishing platform called AppStudio. The result is a magazine that is significantly less heavy so it takes less time to download and is more optimized per your particular device (iPad 3 and 4 owners will now enjoy images in retina resolution while previous models, including iPad mini, will download smaller image files to match their screen size).

This change also brings one more improvement. VIEW Magazine is now universal and for the first time available on the iPhone/iPod touch. While we know it's not the same experience as viewing larger images on the iPad there is something quite attractive in being able to possess works by very talented artists and photographers in your pocket!

CoinMad introduces Find The Movie 1.0 for iOS. In the app, players try to find the name of a certain movie, based on a distinctive screenshot of the film. The app features a variety of movies, from blockbusters to lesser known European and Asian films and from classic drama films to spaghetti western and martial arts movies. Back in the early 80's, in Athens, Greece, there were only 3 channels on TV for someone to watch. One night, at the age of 7, Manos Koufakis, saw a black and white movie on his TV. The movie featured a guy trapped in a basement that kept getting smaller and smaller as time went by. The movie was one of the most exciting things Manos had seen at that very young age but due to lack of information at the time and as he didn't see the movie from the start, he couldn't find out what the title of the movie was.

As years went by, all he could remember was a scene where the main actor of the movie was chased by a giant cat. He started asking friends, relatives and even some guys into movie films, but no one seemed to know what that movie was.

After the internet explosion, Manos posted a small description of that scene in a movie forum and he received numerous answers related to what that movie might be....and after a few days someone came up with the answer! The movie was named: "The Incredible Shrinking Man". And that ended a "life-long" search!

That was the original idea behind, "Find The Movie" App. To get people to find the name of a certain movie, based on a distinctive screenshot of the film. But to make it a bit more accessible to all sorts of film fans (from the die hard to the casual ones), it was decided to turn the App into a multiple choice type of movie game.

WeezLabs, Inc. recently announced the release of SamsungCNC 1.1 for iOS. WeezLabs specializes in the design of mobile applications for iOS and Android smart devices and their portfolio was a clear indicator to Dynamic International that WeezLabs was able to take their SMEC machine tools app concept and extend its feature set. Dynamic International contacted WeezLabs and the app was quickly enhanced, made more graphically appealing and transformed into a spec assisting tool that machinists and engineers should cherish. The business presents the customer with a tablet or places it in a visible location. "It's just too much work for most people to pull out their phones, type in a code, or remember after the fact. Junk Punk 3D is a universal game, so when it is purchased, it will instantly be available to all iOS devices without any extra purchases.

Junk Punk 3D is a fast-paced action game about free running, fast reflexes and competition. As the player, your ultimate goal is to get as far as you can, without falling down, in which case your only option is to try again. The game was entirely developed by Pauli Jokela (CEO of Eerie Studios and Didstopia), excluding the music, which was done by John Cape (Juha Niemi).

Tiny Utopia, LLC today announces the launch of its newest mobile game, Soda Star 1.0, a fast-paced sorting puzzle game for ages eight to adult. It is currently available for $1.99 USD on the iTunes, Android, and Google Play stores.

Soda Star lets players control a soda bottling plant gone haywire as they grow their soda empire by unlocking levels in a constantly expanding bottle factory. Players sort bottles and pack them into similarly colored crates by switching levers to ensure bottles get on the right conveyer belt. They progress through increasingly challenging levels that reveal new and rare items such as magic soda, coffee breaks as well as pitfalls and difficulties.

Anna and Ava, LLC is excited to announce that its Animal Alphabet Book 1.0 app has been approved for release in all regions. Developed by a father and his two daughters, Animal Alphabet Book is a stylish new learning app designed to help young children learn the alphabet in an easy and entertaining way.

Animal Alphabet Book was developed by Aaron Williams as a supplementary teaching material to help his daughter learn the alphabet. The app helps children learn the alphabet by sight and sound recognition. Each letter is associated with a colorful retro-inspired animal illustration. The interface is child-friendly, allowing children to simply 'turn' the pages with just a swipe of their finger. The alphabet is 'read' by one of three voice options, two of which are Williams' own daughters.

Animal Alphabet Book features vibrant colors and outstanding graphic design. Children can choose from three audio voices: a pre-school teacher, a 7-year old, or a 5-year old (letting children hear other children read the book makes it very relatable and is encouraging). They also have the choice of three learning styles: "A" (the selected voice reads the letter sound only); "A is for Alligator" (the selected voice reads the letter sound and the associated animal word); or "Alligator starts with" (the selected voice asks the user what letter the animal word begins with, leaving a pause for the user to supply their own answer). Once the user has chosen their preferred voice and style settings, the user activates the audio voice by 'turning the page' or by pressing on the letter on the screen. The sound can also be turned off when silence is preferred.

"My goal in developing Animal Alphabet Book was to create an interactive alphabet app that was easy for very young children to use, yet also stylish enough for older children and parents to appreciate," said Williams.
