Well that was fast. Just a day after Diane Campbell was denied an iPad because she wanted to pay in cash, Apple has changed their wicked ways, and decided that they DO want your money. In what should come as a surprise to no one, all of the negative press surrounding this story prompted a policy change at Apple. Now you can pay in cash, as long as you set up an Apple account in the store when you buy the iPad.

Apple’s Senior Vice President Ron Johnson told ABC 7 (the ABC affiliate that broke the story originally) that “We want to make sure it’s as fair as possible for people to get iPads,” He went on to explain that they still didn’t want Diane Campbell’s money – they gave her an iPad for free.

If you walked out of the bank today with six crisp new hundred dollar bills in your pocket hoping to pick up an iPad, you’d better prepare to be disappointed. Dian Campbell, a disabled Californian, tried to do just that, but was turned away by the staff at her local Apple Store. They told her that, due to people buying iPads to resell overseas, Apple could only accept credit or debit cards as payment for the iPad. We’re not business gurus of any sort, but we do have a small piece of advice for Apple: if someone wants to buy your product, you should probably let them – it’s a good way to boost sales.

Boxee has inked a deal with payment processing company Vindicia to allow premium content providers to sell you fresh content right through Boxee. While it’s good to know more content is coming to Boxee, the announcement dropped a not-so-subtle hit about the shape of things to come.

Vindicia’s flexibility also makes it possible for us to enable payments on our website and across mobile platforms like the iPhone, Android and iPad.

It’s not a straight out promise of mobile Boxee, but it is a pretty strong indicator that we’ll probably see Boxee on the iPad in the near future.

So just how many individual touches can an iPad recognize? Given the number of fingers we all have, you might assume Apple stopped at ten, but you’d be wrong. Matt Legend Gemmell discovered that the iPad can in fact handle all ten of your fingers, and then some.

Now that we know the iPad can recognizes eleven individual touches, we can only make one assumption: Apple is planning to launch a new product called the iFinger. The iFinger will likely be a sleek, white eleventh finger that you can glue (or staple, your choice) to either hand, allowing you to unlock the full potential of the iPad. We just can’t wait for this year’s WWDC where Steve Jobs will give all his adoring fans the iFinger. It will change the cult of Apple forever.

If you’ve been using the iPad keyboard to make your couch surfing sessions just a little more productive, you’ll probably be interested to hear that you can bring a mouse into the mix too. BTstack is an app available only for jailbroken iPads that allows you to connect a bluetooth mouse, such as Apple’s Magic Mouse, to the iPad. Redmond Pie has a video up showing the Magic Mouse in action, as well as all the info you’ll need to bring bluetooth mouse support to the iPad.

Is mouse support something you’ve been missing with your iPad, or does it defeat the purpose of having a touch screen device? Let us know in the comments!

Lucky Americans have already been enjoying the “magic” of being an iPad owner, but overseas they’ve still got until the end of May. But we live in a global world today and if Americans can get a hold of bootleg movies from Hong Kong before they’re out on DVD then obviously it works both ways.

It’s really no surprise the that latest and greatest Apple gadget is hot on eBay, but according to The New York Times 65% of those sales are to early adopters in other countries. In the United Arab Emirates the iPad sold for $537 over retail, which is enough that you could sell yours and still have enough for a new one. However as it gets closer to release date in a lot of countries the prices are coming down. Yet there are still plenty of countries with no news on a release date, who might be watching some auctions.

Online dating isn't just for lonely nerds any more—everyone does it. And it's not about sending tons of lengthy messages and traveling 3 states away any more either. These days so many singles meet online that you're bound to find someone cool in your area.

Online dating isn’t just for lonely nerds any more—everyone does it. And it’s not about sending tons of lengthy messages and traveling 3 states away any more either. These days so many singles meet online that you’re bound to find someone cool in your area. And now thanks to Scout on the iPad, you don’t even have to be in front of your computer.

The Scout iPad app isn’t just scaled down rehash of their website; it’s loaded with features that help singles get together faster and easier. The app has a HotMap feature that gives you a live view of where the most singles in your area are right now.

According to an article on Time more dating sites are expected to follow suit and create innovative new ways for people to connect on the iPad in place of boring personality quizzes. That means folks who are looking for love on the iPad can expect to see stuff like the visual quizzes found on <a href=""http://www.youniverse.com">Youniverse.com. David Evans, editor of Online Dating Post says that there are even plans to add facial recognition software to dating apps through an added webcam that would suggest profiles based on your emotional reactions.

While visual cues and facial recognition sound like really innovating new features, it might subtract from what makes online dating appealing in the first place: reading about someone before you meet them.

Admit it, owning an iPad is partially about the prestige of owning an iPad. Sure, it’s convenient, useful, practical but it’s also way sexy. So why not splurge a little (okay a lot) more and get yourself an equally sexy (and priced) designer iPad case by Louis Vutton? This gorgeous light-weight case will be available in signature monogram and the monochrome Damier Graphite sometime in 2011 for $366.

If you’re a T-Mobile customer who want a 3G iPad, but doesn’t want to pay for a separate 3G account with AT&T, you’re in luck. One crafty Youtube user discovered a simple hack that allows you to use your T-Mobile SIM card in an iPad. All you have to do is cut off the part of the T-Mobile SIM card that won’t fit in the iPad’s SIM tray, and you’re all set. Just be careful not to damage the chip on the bottom of the SIM card, and you shouldn’t have any problems.
