iPhone 5s hardest to manufacture says Foxconn Executive

Recently tech journalist and bloggers noticed a very interesting change on Apple's online store. Namely, the iPhone 5s model used to take a week or two to ship, but the time has been significantly reduced now to only 3 to 5 business days. The reason behind this is that Foxconn Electronics has allocated a lot more manpower and energy into their iPhone 5s production line and they are now able to ship as many as half a million units every day.

Judging by the news from Taiwan the iPhone 5s has officially taken the crown as top priority even in front of other companies. On the other hand, the production of the iPhone 5c has decreased and slowed down. Nonetheless, the news we are focusing on today are the recent statements of a Foxconn executive for the Wall Street Journal which reveal a lot of information about the iPhone production line and about the difficult process behind the manufacturing of the iPhone 5s.

iPhone 5s and Foxconn: In Numbers

The factory as Zhengzhou has employed around 300,000 workers who are all dedicated to just making the iPhone 5s and various components for other Apple products. That's a giant number and I honestly wasn't expecting to read that 300,000 people are part of the iPhone 5s production line!

The executive also revealed that the company needs 600 workers per production line for the 5s model, while only 500 were needed for the older iPhone 5 and the iPhone 5c. This followed by a statement about how the iPhone 5s is rather complicated to manufacture and that it was honestly a fairly difficult challenge for the company at first.

Complex Doesn't Equal Quality, in Fact...

A lot of people then went out to say that the iPhone 5s must be "the best" considering how complex it is to manufacture. However, I really disagree about this and I hope many of you will take my side on this one! The fact that it is hard to make doesn't really tell us much and in all honesty it can only be a bad thing.

The new iPhone 6 needs to be less complex so that it can be faster to manufacture. This means that we will have smaller waiting times and better availability not just in the US, but worldwide!

iPhone 6 Concept Fun - Make it Rain Colors!

So lately, everyone is being very analytical and serious (including myself) when it comes to the new iPhone 6. Everyone is talking about elegance, style and the latest hardware which is all good, but what happened to... fun? Remember that old commercial where Apple is breaking the wall and those cheerful, colorful iPod commercials? It's not like only serious business people are using the iPhone, in fact a lot of people who are using are more interested in the entertainment aspect of it - gaming, browsing the web, listening to music, enjoying multimedia etc. So, this post will be dedicated to having more fun with the new iPhone 6 and as you can guess from the title, I do want to see more colors!

Let Me Choose the Design

Apple is known for its brilliant design, but it's time to get to next-gen stuff - letting the user choose the design! For now, this can be limited to just the color of the back body, but it in the future more trinkets and customization options might be a possibility. Honestly, I'd probably still go for either a black of white body, but I find it rather boring and monotonous and perhaps (if given the chance) I would probably go for a different color. I certainly know that the female population would be interested in having more colors as a possibility. In fact, Asia would be a perfect market for this as a recent poll showed that women in Japan and Korea thing that color is quite an important factor as far as design is concerned.

Include Variety in Size - Let Us Choose!

People seem to want a bigger iPhone 6, but then again the fact that (hypothetically) 60% of people want a larger screen doesn't mean the rest need to be left without a say in the matter. I use Android as well, and if the iPhone 6 were to go beyond 4.7 inch I'd completely go for another OS without hesitation. So, let's talk about variety!

Currently, Sony is working a phone called Xperia Z1S where the S stands for "small". This is a 4.3 inch version of their Z1 which is 5.0 inch phablet. Both devices have the same specs and hardware, but their screen is different and the size is obviously not the same. Is is that hard to get the idea guys? Give people the same hardware, but let us choose which model (in regards to size) we want!

Keep Innovating, Don't Just Follow the Trends

As soon as curved phones and smartwatches began to be a thing everyone jumped the gun saying that they expect this from Apple as soon as possible. My question is - why? Why do we need to see the same thing but with an Apple logo on it? Is brand loyalty that important? How about expecting something better from the new iPhone 6 - something unique? The curved screen thing doesn't have so many benefits and currently the price of these devices is just silly. Did you hear the Galaxy Round went for a sale at a price of over a $1,000? The LG Flex is more affordable, but still too much if you ask me.

We want the new phone to be different and unique, but we don't want it to give us stuff we already have on the market unless it is done better!

iPhone 6 Release Date in Q3 2014 with large, curved display

Recently the media has been building hype by constantly telling us how the new iPhone 6 release date is just around the corner and that Apple wants to jump the gun and beat Samsung and LG in the "battle of curves". If you don't know the story, then I recommend you look up a phone my the name of LG G Flex. It is an Android-powered smartphone with a curved body and a "self-healing" back body. You can apply a lot of weight and pressure on it and the device will become flat, only to go back to its curved form. The "self-healing" feature means that it will automatically repair small scratches on the back body using a similar technology that some vehicles are using. But this is just the tip of the iceberg, let me continue!

The LG G Flex

This G Flex also comes with amazing hardware specs and it is a true flagship device. It features 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage that comes with included SD card support. Then, there is powerful Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset with a Krait 400 quad-core processor that's running at 2.26 GHz. For the GPU LG chose Adreno 330 which is currently the latest technology available from Qualcomm when graphics are concerned. You would have to be a horrible fan-boy/girl to say that the LG G Flex doesn't sound amazing.

However, this doesn't mean that everyone needs or wants this latest technological marvel, especially not for the price of a brand new, high-end tablet (with money to spare)! Apple doesn't need a "large curved" screen for their new iPhone 6 unless the consumers really want it. So, do they? There is no reason to expect this nor to feel like it is the most logical response on their end. Yet, the rumors keep popping up and suggesting this stuff, so let's go over through the latest info.

Sapphire Glass & Curved Display

Basically, what the press and the "respected insiders" are saying is pretty much the same as we've been hearing for the past couple of weeks. This if of course that the new iPhone 6 will come out early next year, that it will have a large screen and that there is possibility of using sapphire glass for the displays. The flavor of the month at the moment is "curved display" and media is still spinning the first story, but adding this extra rumor into the mill.

Bloomberg, however, has information that is a bit different. They claim that Apple has noticed and analyzed the rise of interest for larger screens and (in particular) the effectiveness of the Galaxy S4 + Note 3 comobo. According to their source, Apple might create a similar duo with a larger and smaller iPhone device that would be based around the iPad Air concept rather than the idea of something such as a curved phone. In addition to this, they claim that the new iPhone 6 release date won't be so early and that the device will come in Q3 2014, something that I would also predict myself.

Also, AppleInsider believes that a 5.0 inch screen is the max that Apple is willing to go, but that even this is highly unlikely. He predicts that 4.5 is the most logical and reasonable screen size for the iPhone 6.

iPhone 6 to follow the iPad Air Concept?

Now that enough time has past for the euphoria surrounding the iPhone 5S to decay I will be dedicating more time to my iPhone 6 blog and this is just one of the many "possible concepts" posts that you will be seeing! Either way, the story today got me inspired by Apple's new iPad Air design because really love this new tablet. Anyway, I guess we should skip the formalities and just get on with it, I will also be using awesome concept photos made by brilliant artists to support the theories presented in this article so bear that in mind!

Anyway, the idea behind the brand new "iPhone Air" concept isn't anything new. As soon as the iPad Air showed up a lot of people wondered how the new iPhone 6 would look like if it were a lot thinner, lighter and larger in screen size. Another interesting feature that this concept would propose is more focus on edge-to-edge design which isn't something that we would be expecting to see from Apple anytime soon. Honestly, I wouldn't want that either because I know it is bound to have durability issues.

Ciccare Design's new iPhone 6 concept

As I mentioned I will be using some awesome 3D renders in this article and the one that you are currently seeing was done by Ciccare Design. It tries to blend well with the current iPhone 5S style, but makes it larger and tries to approach the iPad a bit more. There is no edge-to-edge display which I am a fan of, but I do have some issues with a render such as this one. The first is the the thickness of the device. It looks alright, but I honestly think that a phone based on the "air" concept should be a bit thinner. The second is the back which looks too generic and the round edges remind me of something that HTC would make and needless to say I am not the biggest fan of it. However, if it works well I have no problem in dealing with it.

So, once again let's give props to this guy! You can see quite a bit of dedication to detail there even though it is just an early-concept render without much details. The back is actually brushed aluminum which is something that iPad users would certainly appreciate on their new iPhone. The front has an interesting fingerprint sensor shown and it is a bit larger than I think I would have liked it to be. If, for technical reasons, the size cannot be reduced then I understand of course.

There are of course other elements worth mentioning on this model such as the speaker grills and the lightning port on the bottom of the device, and of course, the headphone jack. However, we already take these things for granted and we usually don't give them much attention. The screen isn’t as flamboyant as some of the other concepts that we’ve seen but the size still works well with the overall design.

Improved Fingerprint Sensors and Touch ID

The introduction of Touch ID and the fingerprint sensors really started a whirlwind on the Internet and brought in a lot of media attention. The current scanners and sensors work perfectly fine and like I said the only thing I would hope for is to see them smaller. The real improvements come on the software side because this is what runs the whole thing and it was the only thing that actually proved vulnerable.

Remember the current layers of the fingerprint sensor are:

Laser-cut sapphire crystal
Stainless steal detection ring
Touch ID sensor
Tactile Switch

Larger Screen

In the end this somehow always ends up being the final topic of the day when the iPhone 6 is concerned. Everyone is expecting a larger full HD retina display and it seems that the flavor of the hour is 4.8 inches. I am pleased that people are no longer requesting to see 5.5 inch iPhones, but it is probably only a matter of time before this hysteria strikes again.

LG G Flex Shows How Its Done; Apple Please Take Notes!

LG is currently making a couple of new, powerful devices including the new Google Nexus and the LG G Flex, a smartphone that has a curved screen. Now, I don't really care about this feature/ gimmick/ patent that this company has created, but I am really impressed by the specs and performance of this new device. In general, LG seems to be a completely new/reborn brand which will have a lot more value and reputation as time goes by. In this article we will discus some interesting lessons that Apple could learn from this and possibly use for their own iPhone 6. Of course this isn't some silly LG G Flex vs iPhone 6 battle, but if you like silly stuff follow my blog, there will be a lot of it in the near future.

So first of all let us talk a bit about LG and their current strategy and position on the market. The company has recently released a Q3 financial report which states that they have made 27% more money than they did last year in Q3 which is a major improvement. They are hopping to make even more by the end of the year. This all sounds amazing, but honestly LG isn't making such a major killing as the figures seem to tell you at first glance. In the Q3 period they shipped a total of 12 million smartphones which earned them a total of $196 million in profit. This doesn't really compare to Apple or Samsung which are the top two manufacturers on the market. However, there is reason to fear that LG is coming their way!

Powerful LG G Flex - A Real Flagship

Currently, it is still unknown whether or not the G Flex will be just a test device or an actual flagship/product but so far the device and its rumored hardware looks really amazing. The inside configuration of this smartphone is something that Apple should examine closely because this device has beaten every single smartphone on the benchmark test provided by AnTuTu. There are a lot of other tests you could check out as well, but you can just stop here and take my word for it - this phone really rocked the house! That is something I would expect from a flagship, premium device that costs as much as a solid laptop and I hope Apple won't disappoint us with the upcoming iPhone 6. If their new phone turns out to be mediocre even I'm not sure if I will be buying it!

iPhone 6 - the first Apple phablet?

The title seems unthinkable, but for all we know the new iPhone 6 may indeed by the first Apple phablet device that could compete with Android devices such as Xperia Z1 Ultra, Galaxy Note 3 and the Oppo N1. The fact on the matter is that this is a very popular market right now and Apple has done absolutely nothing to get their share of the profit. However, how would the creating of a large 5.5 inch iPhone be accepted by current iPhone users? While a lot of people complained about the treansition from 3.5 inch displays to 4.0 inch that did not stop sales for skyrocketing. However, this seems like a much more radical change in planning and therefor it is unlikely that Apple won't have a separate flagship for their current userbase that enjoys smaller screens.

Adopting the Samsung Galaxy Concepts?

In my personal opinion this idea wouldn't be half bad - create a main flagship model and a larger phablet device. You see other companies that use Android doing this all the time and the best example is Samsung. Sure, their Note 3 is now a name of its own, but it all started as a spin off from the Galaxy S license as this was the most popular, top-selling and most loved series that Samsung had at that time.

So, how about a iPhone 6 that won't exceed the 4.5 inch size and a iPhone 6X or something which would be a phablet? I don't know about the rest of you, but that sounds like a brilliant idea to me and I think it to be fair towards everyone's needs and requirements.

New iPhone 6 Phablet Display

As always the Internet is loaded with rumors and speculations about the new upcoming device and most of them come from people who don't know much about the industry to begin with. Nonetheless there are a lot of interesting concepts and rumors out there and some of them actually seem believable.

For example, Patently Apple reported that the Japanese company Sharp will be creating big IGZO displays for the new iPhone device. This company already has a very large partnership deal with Apple and there's no doubt that Sharp has the capacity and technology to handle the workload that the iPhone 6 would bring.

iPhone 6 vs Galaxy S5 - Early Concept Analysis

Here we got folks, it's time for a fresh, original and awesome battle between the iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S5...yeah, yeah I've heard enough of this already. Recently, I cam across an article that was written in this way on ibTimes and I was quite disappointed to find out that this is what contemporary web journalism has become. While the article starts out nice, it quickly became obvious that this was classic click-bait material that was poorly researched.

I mean, for heaven's sake, the author of this article wrote that (in this battle of concepts) the Galaxy S5 would have Android Key Lime Pie as its OS. For those that do not know, Key Lime Pie was supposed to be the name of the latest Android OS, but instead it will be called Kit Kat. Based on this fact we can assume that the journalist on this site is at least 3 months behind on his data.

However, I will give credit to the artist from DeviantArt for this great concept design.

While this certainly looks impressive I would not like the new iPhone to have such a huge screen as I explained in the post about what I expect from the iPhone 6. Anyway, since we are already here and talking about early concepts, let's see what my iPhone 6 vs Galaxy S5 analysis is like.

I've had a chance to use all of the phones in the Galaxy S series and I honestly liked the first one more than the others. Yes, the specs have improved dramatically, but my general feeling while using them has declined. I expect that Samsung will continue the trend and there is hardly anything to analyze. You can expect everything to get bigger/better - the screen, the Mpx on the camera, the processor... However, what I would like to see improved a step further is the included software that the Korean giant did very well.

This is what I expect from the S5 and on the above link you saw what I expect from the iPhone 6, so the question on your mind may be - where's the comparison? Where's the amazing Galaxy S5 vs iPhone 6 battle you've been scrolling down to see? Well, there isn't, because it would be very stupid for me to write about something like that. When we see the actual devices we will discus them, until then stop buying into rumors and fan-fiction written by sites like IBT, AndroidAuthority and Mac Rumors!

What I expect from the iPhone 6

Now that I've seen the iPhone 5S I will say that it was exactly what I expected and that I will not be trading in my old iPhone 5 for it. Instead, I will be waiting for the iPhone 6 and it is the next phone that I will be adding to my arsenal. So, in this article I will list the specs and features that I expect from the next generation i-device. Anything less than this and I will be a bit disappointing, but my expectations aren't anything too exciting and are actually really realistic.

Display and Screen

I was a bit skeptic when the new iPhone 5 had a 4-inch screen. However, since I've also been using Android devices (I am a web and mobile developer) a part of me has grown to like a bigger display. While I find a 5 inch (and larger) display very unpractical I would gladly see a 4.5 inch iPhone 6. However, I would certainly dislike anything larger than that. If you want a larger screen than that, get an iPad or something! Seriously!

Improved Camera Optics

A lot of people criticize Apple for not playing the megapixel game and for offering 8 Mpx on their latest devices. Personally, I never cared for the actual resolution of the photos and this is what I use my digital camera for. Instead, I would like to see the quality of the camera optics improve. Photos in low-light condititions could be better and the new iOS 7 should bring in some powerful new software for the camera app. Higher quality image stabilization is also a feature I look forward to seeing on the new iPhone 6.

Better Battery Life

I cannot say that the battery life of the iPhone 5 was horrible, but this is a general complaint I have about any smartphone. I just want batteries to get better and for the software to be better optimizedso that it doesn't burn so much power. This is an endless request, but so far Apple has satisfied my wishes.

Better WiFi & NFC

The new iPhone 6 needs an upgrade to Wi-Fi 802.11ac but Appleis probably waiting for the IEEE to approve the new WiFi specifications later this year. Since the latest MacBook Air has this tech we can be sure that the new iPhone will also follow. As for NFC chips, I personally don't need it but it is one of the features that a flagship such as the iPhone 6 should have.

128 GB?

I see other blogs and tech portals talking about this but I don't really care much about it. The current 64GB model serves just fine and cloud storage is something I am certainly taking major advantage of. However, an SD card would certainly be really nice, but is highly unlikely.

Leaked iPhone 5C Photos

Press photos of the upcoming budget smartphone from Apple known as iPhone 5C have been leaked according to T3 and their design corresponds to many of the rumors. Aside from this the overall look of the device also fits the cases and accessories that were leaked as well. Is this just an organized promotion or the worst kept Apple secret? Either way, the latest leaked iPhone 5C photos still leave much to be desired.

Leaked iPhone 5C press photos

Like several other leaks this one was also provided by Romanian retailers but the details of how they obtained these photos have not been revealed. The iPhone 5C has been in the public eyesight for a long time now and it appears that the release is getting closer as the hype builds up and the rumors swirl.

The current news on the wire, however, is that this budget phone will not be so affordable and that it will take the iPhone 4S place in the lineup. The general idea is that by mid 2014 Apple will create a series that will look something like this: iPhone 6 > iPhone 5S > iPhone 5 > iPhone 5C. The idea is that they plan to slowly stop the production of older models which means that we will finally be rid of the 30pin connector!

As far as the price and the release date of the iPhone 5C you can say that there are as many leaked photos as there are pricing options which is obviously quite a lot. The general opinion is that this phone will be aimed towards the market in China where Apple is looking to improve their market share after a devastating drop. The price of the phone can be anywhere in the $399 to the $499 range which obviously means that it will not be such a "budget" device.

Either way, it seems like the release date for both the 5C and the iPhone 5S will be somewhere in mid September. This is based on expert analysis and leaked rumors that suggest that Foxconn has already received the order and started the production of two brand-new models. However, as there are no possible ways to confirm these rumors we will back away from any further dialog and just wait it out.

iPhone 6 With a Big Screen Comming in 2014?

As CNET reports, Citi recently made a note to Apple's investors with some general ideas about where the company is going with their products. The investment bank commented that the iPhone 5C will be a very possible new addition to the family this year and that an iWatch could possibly land in stores by the end of the year. The company has also made some interesting comments regarding the release of the iPhone 6 which are very intriguing to say the least.

So, let us cut right to the iPhone 6 news shall we? According to this source the next generation iPhone 6 release date is likely to be somewhere in the first half of the next year. Aside from using better technology and stronger hardware, this new device should be also quite larger than previous models have been so far. It is a high probability that Apple is looking to expand their offer by providing larger devices, but they are expected to stay true to their previous user base by providing phones that do not exceed the 4-inch display margin.

Another important note passed on by Citi is that the newly expected iPhone 5C will probably have a $450 retail selling price. Since an average smartphone costs are ~$225 this is rather expensive and it can hardly be considered a low-budget device. However, we all knew that Apple isn't exactly interested in creating a low-budget product, it is more a case of "lower" budget.

Impressive iPhone 6 Concept Design

How will the new iPhone 6 look? At this stage it is honestly anyone's guess, but it is fair to say that we are very interested how the new device will turn out. A lot of designers and concept artists took this opportunity to once again let their creativity do its thing and today I will proudly present you with a lovely iPhone 6 concept design that was recently published to the Internet. The unique design was posted on the popular website for designers - Behance - by the user called Johnny Plaid. Let's have a look at the initial design and have a bit of discussion.

Classic design!

This concept design of the new iPhone 6 is rather clean, minimalistic and classic - in the true nature of Apple's style and their iPhone brand. While we must admit that it isn't very innovative, the core style is there and done very well. After all, many users of the iPhone don't really want the next generation to be a radical change. We are quite satisfied with a 4 inch screen and the choice between a classic white or black design.

However, if you look at the photo closely you will see that the artist did indeed allow himself to innovate on the design. His version of the iPhone 6 is a lot bigger than the previous model and it features the illusive edge-to-edge display. Another key note is that the designer included his own specs of the phone. He says that his concept includes a brand new aluminum carbon fiber unibody enclosure. This changes makes his model almost 40 percent lighter, and 60 percent stronger than the iPhone 5.

We should also imagine that his design includes the "Retina 2” display that includes a graphene protective layer. We have actually heard rumors about this feature coming to the next-gen iPhone and it would be great if this prediction were really to come true.

iPhone 6 Processor Already In the Works

While the latest iPhone device was great, Apple still left a lot to be desired and everyone is hopping that the upcoming iPhone 6 will not leave us hanging dry. Luckily, rumors are already spreading that Apple is working on a next-gen processing chip for their new devices. Reports suggest that Apple has picked the A8 chip architecture powerhouse, which uses 20nm processes nodes.

Say goodbye to the old generations!

The source of the news is DigiTimes and their reporters state that Apple has awarded a three-year contract to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). While most people haven't heard of TSMC, it is actually a big name in the tech industry since many famous Western companies outsource their work over to them. In the past 24h their stocks went up by 3.5% which no doubt due to the news of the new contract. Anyway, TSMC has been contracted to manufacture the A8, A9 and A9X processing chips. These will be used in 2014 for a new series of devices. This would suggest that the iPhone 6 will not be coming out this year and that the upcoming iPhone that we heard about is actually the iPhone 5S.

According to DigiTimes, the A8 will be installed on the next-gen Apple device during early 2014 which means that our wait for the new iPhone 6 will not be as long as we might think. However, Apple also contracted the company to start the creation of A7 chips next month, which means that the iPhone 5S might get these under its hood. The device is rumored to come out in September so the time frame fits great!

Facility Upgrade

The company from Taiwan managed to grab a great deal and in order to fully keep to their side of the deal they plan to upgrade their facilities. As My iPhone 6 reporters have found out, the facilities in Taiwan are getting upgraded in order to achieve a capacity that will lead to the production of 50,000 wafers by Q1 2014, starting off with 10,000-wafer output capacity by December this year.

Rumors also suggest that Apple will quickly come up with an entire line of products to combat Samsung. Apparently their iPhone 5S will be an advanced version of the previous model that will be fully upgraded to combat the Galaxy S4 and HTC One. On the other hand, the iPhone 6 is rumored to have a 5.7 inch display so that it can be suitable competition to the Galaxy Note series.

Now, if there is anything I have learned from reading tech blogs that is that rumors and leaks are usually not true, however I have to say that this iPhone 6 leak looks rather interesting. So what is it? Did an “insider” or anonymous source announce something juicy? Not quite, in fact, it is even better! We have several leaked images that are supposed to be the leaked iPhone 6 prototype. However, the devices looks so similar to the latest iPhone 5, that I would rather say that this looks more like a iPhone 5S then a whole new device.

Previous rumors confirmed?

Rumors from a few weeks ago suggested that the new iPhone will be coming by the end of September to replace the iPhone 5. It appears that the latest Apple flagship has done great, but the sales are slowly dropping. Even Samsung and their Galaxy S4 are having trouble when it comes to keeping up the competition.

After all, technology is advancing very quickly these days and a phone that has been out for three months is already considered a bit outdated. However, the iPhone 5 is still a bit ahead of the game and thus Apple won’t be needing a new flagship for at least a few months. Thus, one must ask, why are there rumors of a new model already?

Either way, there is a lot of detail floating around the Internet and the leaked photo above seems to be in-line with these stories. The website Mac Rumors has done a great job at analyzing the photograph posted above. The green boxes indicate the parts which confirm previous stories, while the red boxes are placed around the parts which are unknown.

Both of these photographs suggest that the new iPhone (iPhone 5S or iPhone 6?) will finally have the much rumored dual-flash camera. Aside from that it appears that the logic board has been improved which should result in faster performance according to some reporters. However, from what I know about these things, this is something that they cannot conclude from photographs alone and this is just an empty speculation.

What I find most interesting however, is the CPU unit on the first photograph. The processor has the Apple logo, but it has no markings or numbers. Is this proof of a new generation of processors? I wouldn’t bet on it as the print looks rather old and worn-out to be honest.

Another interesting thing is located on the second photo in the small red box. The text is supposed to represent the model version and reads “A1214" which is a pattern never before seen on an iPhone. What is that supposed to mean? Well, original iPhone and iPhone 3G bore "A12XX" model numbers and this changed with the iPhone 3GS that carried numbers in the "A13XX" range. This once again chanted with the iPhone 4S that moved into the "A14XX" tier, which continues with the current iPhone 5. This means that “A1214” would be something that a very old iPhone would carry and certainly not the iPhone 6 and/or iPhone 5S. Of course, it could just be dummy text.

Either way, I am almost 99% sure that this can be labeled as a rumor. However, it looks like a very nice early concept prototype for the iPhone 6 and this is something that makes me rather happy!
