iV Plus iPhone Battery Pack Works As A Universal Remote

One iPhone owner, Martin Schrotz decided he didn’t like the plastic casing on the back of his iPhone 3GS so he set out to re-design it. Martin spent over three months coming up with the final version, he tried it aluminum but that didn’t work out so well, so he came up with this awesome titanium design.

Martin measured the iPhone casing digitally and then drew the cover in CAD. The final case ins constructed from titanium alloy, and this is by far the coolest iPhone mod we have seen.

Personally I think Martin should start selling these replacement cases for the iPhone 3G and 3GS I would buy one, it looks so much better than the one that comes with the iPhone.

The BirdBox iPhone Alarm Clock, comprises of a cardboard box and a custom iPhone application, set your alarm on the application and then place it into the BirdBox and you will be woken up to the sound of birds, you can see it in action in the video below.

It seems like a fun idea, the application is available as a free download from iTunes, but if you want the BirdBox that is going to set you back between $11.95 and $12.95, I am sure you could probably make your own a lot cheaper.

So basically if you have a wireless cycling computer on your bike, the Pedal Brain iPhone app will be able to communicate with your existing sensors.

The Pedal Brain application will record data and also show you your current performance in real time on your iPhone screen, and you will also be able to upload the collected data to the Internet for a detailed analysis.

The Pedal Brain iPhone App and hardware accessory will be available in March and it will cost between $130 and $190, on top of that you will have to pay a subscription fee, there are no details as yet on how much the subscription will cost.

The ION iType is designed to be used by travellers and people on the go who want to use a larger keyboard with their iPhone for emails, texting and web surfing.

It certainly seems like a useful accessory if you are the sort of person who doesn’t like the iPhone’s tiny touchscreen keyboard, although I have got quite used to it myself and am capable of a very fast four words per minute on my iPhone.

There are no details on pricing as yet for the ION iType, it is expected to go on sale later in the year.

Blackra1n For Mac iPhone Jailbreak

The SmartScreen iPhone App has been developed by a company called MediaPhone, who will also be releasing an SDK for it so users and developers will be able to program their own widgets, check out the video of it in action after the break.

The application will work on all models of iPhone and iPod touch that run OS 3.x, unfortunately due to the nature of the product it will not be available for purchase in the Apple AppStore but will be sold to customers of jailbroken phones via alternate means.

A SmartScreen SDK will be available to everyone in November 2009 but widget developers are being selected to participate in a Beta programme.

We wont see SmartScreen in the iPhone App store anytime soon, if you want to use it when it is released you will need to have a jailbrokemn iPhone, head on over to MediaPhone for more details.

The Dahon iPhone Bike Mount can be mounted on your bikes handlebars, and it is waterproof and shockproof, so it will protect your iPhone whilst you are cycling.

The iPhone can be swiveled 360 degrees on the bike mount, so you could watch videos or send some emails whilst cycling (not recommended as you will probably crash).
