iQuest has opened a new office in Switzerland, located in the Blue Lion Incubator Centre in Zürich.

Following more than 10 years of successful partnering with Swiss clients, the new office in Zürich comes as a natural development. Built around the iQuest LocalNearshore model, it is part of our growth strategy in Western Europe. The Zürich office brings us closer to our Swiss clients, serving also as a platform for developing new business opportunities.

We will focus on our experienced position in the telecom and life sciences industries, and we will also offer our full portfolio of solutions and services.

iQuest’s presence in Zurich will also be the start for partnerships with local and global companies based in Switzerland in order to expand our service offering and continue our co-IP development.

We have registered a 35 % growth compared to 2011 while also opening a new office in Silicon Valley, US and joining the Cluj IT Cluster. Recently, iQuest has extended its management team with former executives from Microsoft and Nestlé and opened a new development centre in Craiova.

If at the beginning of 2012, we were estimating a moderate turnover growth, of 20% compared to 2011, in reality we have achieved a 35% growth for 2012, well beyond what we had expected, with an advance on all our strategic segments.  Above 90% of the business came from the Western market while our quality-focused strategy and in-depth business understanding are reflected in our client retention rate of well above 90%’, said Cornelius Brody, iQuest CEO.

iQuest’s main markets are Germany, Switzerland, the UK and the US in such industries, as: life sciences, telecom, finance, energy, logistics, and media. The first two mentioned generated the largest part of our revenue in 2012. To support the extended strategy on the international market, iQuest opened an office in Palo Alto, US and extended its management team with former managers from Microsoft and Nestlé.

’In addition to our strong organic growth we embarked on a strategy of specialisation in key verticals and domains, as well as the expansion to key markets in Western Europe and USA. Our extended executive team will be one major ingredient for making this strategy come true. We are excited to take a significant step together with Thomas Wittig and Thierry Malbrancke towards expanding iQuest’s business to a broader set of services, markets and partners’, added Cornelius Brody.

On the local market, iQuest joined the Cluj IT Cluster, the first IT Romanian Cluster. Also, to enhance its internal capabilities, the company has opened a new development centre, where it will hire 40 IT specialists.

’The Cluj IT Cluster represents a development solution for Romania we wanted to be part of. We saw the opportunity to use a different business model, in which we could use IP developed in our area, to deal with larger projects than we could accept as one company alone, and to develop and implement them together with the other companies in the cluster’, added Cornelius Brody.

The Estimated Growth for 2013, 25 mil Euros

The iQuest representative estimates a growth for 2013, too: ’We always prefer to be cautious regarding predictions and then surpass them. Following the same principles, I expect a turnover of 25 mil Euros this year. We will develop new competences, which will assure competitive advantages on the markets we approach with our software solutions and services’, added Mr. Brody.

The company will continue to invest in its personnel. New employees will be hired not only in the development centre Craiova, but also in the ones in Cluj-Napoca, Brasov, and Sibiu. Currently, our team has more than 450 employees, 20% more than at the end of 2011.

’We are constantly searching for talent in all our development centres. Among the technologies we want people for are Java, SharePoint, .Net, Mobile and Testing’, added Razvan Voica, HR Manager.
