Anyone watching the Lakers vs. Heat game last night might be wondering who provided the soundtrack for the NBA halftime spot featuring Kobe vs Lebron. Meet Kayla Brianna, Interscope Records’ latest signee, who premiered her video for “If You Love Me” intercut with highlights from the game’s biggest stars. Kayla, a rising R&B star, can already call celebrities like Keri Hilson, George Lopez, Chris Rock, Ice Cube, and Kobe Bryant fans. The stars have been tweeting their support for months now, and “If You Love Me” was even a trending topic last night on Twitter.

With the video’s premiere, the talented young singer is gearing up for the release of her debut single “If You Love Me,” which is inspired by influences like Brandy and Aaliyah. Kayla, the daughter of basketball legend and NBA commentator Kenny Smith, hopes that her music will speak to young girls around the world who are transitioning to adulthood. “It’s about growing up, succeeding, experiencing heartbreak and self-identity simultaneously,” says Kayla. “When you add those messages to undeniable tracks, it becomes a message that you can move to!”

Los Angeles electro-hip hop group, Far East Movement, have just released the official music video for their new single, “Jello” featuring Rye Rye. The video, directed by Matt Alonzo (Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy), shows the group crashing a political event with Tiger Woods, Oprah, and others.
“Jello” comes from the group’s upcoming album, Dirty Bass , slated for a 2012 release.

JoJo and Cambio, the online destination for teens and young adults, have teamed up with AT&T’s “It Can Wait” campaign to help combat the texting while driving epidemic. According to Car and Driver, texting while driving is more dangerous than driving under the influence and those who send text messages while driving are 23 times more likely to be in a crash.

Throughout the month of January, Cambio will release three videos about the risks of texting and driving narrated by the twenty-one- year-old-platinum-selling songstress, JoJo, through Cambio Impact — Cambio’s new social causes platform.  In these compelling vignettes, JoJo reminds her peers that text messages can and should wait until after driving. will.i.am kicked off 2012 with an energetic performance of his new single “T.H.E (The Hardest Ever)” on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last week. The Black Eyed Peas frontman performed with backup dancers and iPads projecting his face, then later sat down with Leno to discuss his new car company and being a judge on the upcoming British version of The Voice.

The Voice UK, which is set to air in May, will also feature Jessie J, Tom Jones and Danny O’Donoghue of The Script as judges. “I’m proud to be doing The Voice UK because the UK was the first place I saw success, “says will.i.am, “It’s the place I’m the most creative outside of home.”

Ladies & Gentleman, Neon Hitch would like you to know that she can “Fuck U Betta.” The electric Benny Blanco produced track is the first official single off Neon’s debut album Beg, Borrow and Steal, which will be out later this year. Hot stuff.

Ryan Tedder, lead singer/songwriter/producer of the multi-platinum selling band OneRepublic has been nominated for two Grammy Awards. Capping off a year where OneRepublic has topped the charts, Tedder was recognized by The Recording Academy as the nominations for the 54th Annual Grammy Awards were announced in a live broadcast on CBS this week.
Tedder received a Grammy nod in two categories: Album of the Year for Adele’s “21,” which he co-wrote and produced the song “Rumour Has It” and co-wrote “Turning Tables,” as well as a nomination for Producer of the Year Non-Classical for his work with Adele, Beyonce, Cobra Starship, Colbie Caillat, Gavin DeGraw, Jennifer Hudson and Demi Lovato.
OneRepublic also kicked off the holiday season with a brand new song called “Christmas Without You” which features cover art designed by Ryan himself.

Multi-platinum performer, producer and songwriter will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas appeared on the American Music Awards on Sunday night with Jennifer Lopez for the premiere performance of his new solo single, “T.H.E (The Hardest Ever).”

“T.H.E (The Hardest Ever)” will appear on will.i.am’s upcoming album, #WILLPOWER, which is due next year on Interscope. A video for the song, directed by Rich Lee and shot in Los Angeles and London, will be released later this month.

This past Sunday, pop singer JoJo sang the national anthem at the MLS Cup Final match between the Los Angeles Galaxy and Houston Dynamo with Galaxy taking the victory 1-0. It also marked the end of David Beckham’s 5 year contract, and could have possibly been his final game with the team.

JoJo will be performing at Westfield Mall in Culver City, CA on Thanksgiving night, which will be live streaming on Westfield’s Facebook Page at 12 midnight PST (3am EST on Friday morning).
